Following the early release of Legacy Lord Zedd at Canadian retail 2 weeks ago, another fellow collector across the boarder has spotted 3 of the Mighty Morphin Legacy Power Rangers!

Rangerboard user ayane was lucky enough to find the Legacy Red Ranger, Green Ranger, White Ranger & Lord Zedd all locally at  Toys ‘R’ Us in Burnaby, Canada! Quite the find indeed! So as more of these figures begin to turn up at Canadian retail you have to wonder when they’ll make their way a bit further south to TRU locations in the US. We’ll keep you informed of any further sightings as they occur!

Also of interest is that this Green Ranger figure is seemingly marketed as the version that appeared in the Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode “Fighting Spirit.”  This figure does in fact feature the controversial “silver stripe” on the helmet that was added for that episode. A blurb on the package goes so far as to say “as seen in Power Rangers Dino Thunder” as well.

They teased. They toyed with our emotions. For a couple of years now, Bluefin Tamashii Nations have teased us that they could do a Lord Zedd figure, either as a S.H. Figuarts or a FiguartsZERO. After teasing us that they could, they teased that they had something they were working on. But then time passed by. Over a year after teasing that something was in the works, at Anime Expo this past weekend, they finally delivered on their tease. During a panel regarding current and upcoming projects, a blurry image of Lord Zedd with his iconic throne was shown with the tag FiguartsZERO.

It would appear that all that waiting has finally paid off. After showing the blurry image, they later announced on their Facebook page that everything shown at the panel would most likely be shown in person at this year’s upcoming San Diego Comic Con. Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered there (our full coverage begins Tuesday, July 22nd … or basically just about 2 weeks away). Here’s a run down on the news from the panel that pertains to Power Rangers!

  • FiguartsZERO Lord Zedd – more details to come, could be shown at SDCC 2014
  • S.H. Figuarts of other Power Rangers teams – they stated that Bandai doesn’t think there’s currently a series that has an overwhelming demand.  They want to see an overwhelming demand for a series before they could begin working on it.  They’ve asked that we please spam their Facebook page with requests for one of three series – Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers In Space, or Power Rangers Time Force.  Doing so will show Bandai that there’s an overwhelming demand and they can move forward.

This is apparently the year of Lord Zedd!  First he gets a Legacy figure, and now he is apparently getting a FiguartsZERO as well. So let’s talk about it #RangerNation! Well that certainly didn’t take long. Revealed just over a month ago, then announced for an early release at San Diego Comic Con this month, who would have thought we’d already see this figure at retail? But the hunt is on! @dimitridemel on Twitter just stumbled across the Power Rangers Legacy 5″ Lord Zedd figure! 

Found at the Brampton, Ontario Canada Toys ‘R’ Us this figure retails for for $16.99 CAD. And as we can see now, Lord Zedd also sports some very awesome vintage style Power Rangers packaging clearly modeled after the 8″ Mighty Morphin Power Ranger assortments of old.

UPDATED – A new back of box image confirms that the Power Weapons included with the 5″ Legacy Power Rangers will be able to combine to form the Powe Blaster!

A domestic US release should be happening any time now, but this is great news for Canadian collectors! For anyone unable to find it before SDCC, remember that Entertainment Earth will also have this shared exclusive for sale at their booth there later this month!

Bandai’s first exclusive for the massive fandom gathering known as “San Diego Comic Con” has just been revealed thanks to Toys R Us!

Lord Zedd is the self-proclaimed “Emperor of Evil” and “enemy of all that is good and decent.” With multiple points of articulation and a muscular design, this figure is perfect for play or display! Comes with collectible legacy packaging styled after the original figures.

How this figure differs from the previously-announced Lord Zedd action figure (tentatively scheduled for Fall 2014 release) remains to be seen.

The boys are back from their crossover adventure with the release of Episode 12 – Lord Zedd Interview and Talkin Dino Charge! Talk some toku with your hosts Chris/Kickback, Jordan/Den-O, and Tom/Sentai Tamashii! In this week’s episode, Chris conducts the first ever Talkin Toku Interview with none other than Robert Axelrod, the voice of Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Special thanks to Denver Comic Con for helping set up and coordinate a time and place for the interview. Chris also shares his thoughts on Denver Comic Con.

To round off the episode the guys keep the topic on Power Rangers, and more specifically discuss a couple of Power Rangers Monday articles – namely what do we want to see adapted in to Power Rangers Dino Charge from Kyoryuger and what else would we have liked to see adapted from Super Sentai in general in to Power Rangers? It’s a fun conversation as our hopes for a great season with Power Rangers Dino Charge especially with Judd Lynn at the helm show up in the conversation. Attention all Power Rangers fans in or near Denver, Colorado! This weekend is the third annual Denver Comic Con and it’s the largest convention yet! For those of you who are fans of brightly colored spandex wearing heroes (and a main villain), this is a great opportunity to meet some of your childhood heroes. In attendance this year is David Yost who played Billy the Mighty Morphin Blue Power Ranger, Walter Jones who played Zack the Mighty Morphin Black Power Ranger, Jason David Frank who played Tommy the Mighty Morphin Green and White Power Rangers, the Power Rangers Zeo Red Ranger, the Power Rangers Turbo Red Ranger, the Power Rangers Dino Thunder Black Ranger, and is returning as the Mighty Morphin Green Power Ranger in the final episode of this year’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce. Last and certainly not least is Robert Axelrod, the voice of the evil Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (and Armadillomon from Digimon Season 2)!.

One of the greatest villains the Power Rangers have ever faced has returned, albeit much tinier this time!

Revealed today via the TRU.CA website are new official images of the 5″ Power Rangers Legacy Lord Zedd figure! According to their site this figure is scheduled to ship/release on 6/15/14, only a few weeks away! Regular retail price on line is $16.99 but the figure is currently on sale for $12.67 before shipping online.

On top of Dragon Daggers & Dragon Zords, the hunt is on for this latest Legacy release! Good luck!

We’re officially 1 week away from the 13th annual Free Comic Book Day 2014! Saturday May 3rd this year, will be a time for fans of comics new and old to go out to their Local Comic Chop and grab some free books, pick up some great deals, and have a good time!

Joining the fray of this event for the first time ever are the Might Morphin Power Rangers! Publisher Papercutz is bringing the original power team back in a new way with it’s special one-shot Free Comic Book Day Issue. The question is, on a day when you’re generally limited by how many free books you can pick up at your LCS, is this one deserving of a spot in the stack?

For the third year running, the Lexington Comic & Toy Convention returns to Kentucky! If you haven’t heard of the show by now it’s quickly become THE east coast convention for Power Rangers actors! As the one big show that Kentucky has each year LexCon draws in attendance from all over the region with last years numbers surpassing 10,000! This convention will run from Friday March 14th- Sunday March 16th at Heritage Hall, Rupp Arena Convention Center. If you can make it to the show trust me, it is worth your while.
