In Hand Images of Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Megazord

Posted on November 22, 2013 at 5:27 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Once again, with permission and thanks to our friend and member Linear Ranger (please follow him on Twitter @LinearRanger) we have now put up all of the images that he shared with his brand new Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Megazord! The toy is the US adaption of the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger GokaihOh.

For starters, we have known since SDCC 2013 that the Legendary Megazord was going to be smaller and have a number of changes compared to it’s Super Sentai counterpart. At NYCC 2013 we saw that the combinations appeared to be different thanks to the back of the packaging that we exclusively had photos of here at TokuNation.com.

So here we go!

  • The Legendary Megazord is almost half the size of GokaiOh
  • The smaller individual zords that form the arms and legs do NOT open like their Sentai counterpart
  • The chest opens of the Sky Ship (Gokai Galleon), but unlike the Gokai Galleon, there is NO cannon inside
  • There are zord builder connector ports all over each leg, arm, and shoulder of the Legendary Megazord

All in all, the toy looks to be a fun addition to any one who enjoys the US side of the Megazords, especially the kids, however for those collectors hoping to replicate their favorite episodes from Gokaiger, they may want to stick to the higher priced GokaiOh. As is normal, you pay more to get more.

The fun thing we have to look forward to is what other combinations are going to release, as the back of the box shows an upcoming Zeo combination that looks to be US-exclusive.

Are you going to get on the Sky Ship Zord and become Legendary? Let us know!

Again – these images are posted with permission from Linear Ranger. Please take a moment and follow him @LinearRanger on Twitter!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce to Debut in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Posted on November 7, 2013 at 6:02 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

A press release from Saban Brands has hit the Internet today and, like last year, has informed us that the new Power Rangers Super Megaforce heroes will be making their debut at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The information, with thanks to Fury Diamond and his blog Samuraicast Blog, reads as follows:

The Power Rangers Super Megaforce are making their MEGA debut at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Saving the world from evil, this iconic team of superheroes calls on legendary Power Rangers from the past and the future. With the Power Rangers Super Megaforce on hand, and some added help from surprise guests, the Earth is well protected this Turkey Day.[/i]

In case you missed it, here’s the video of last year’s parade, which was in itself pretty spectacular. Again, credit to Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com for the encode.

Are you planning to watch the parade to get your first look at the Super Megaforce Rangers? Let us know!

Dairanger Suits To be used in Super Megaforce

Posted on July 18, 2013 at 5:01 pm by Kiryu under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

Since the suit footage from Gosei Sentai Dairanger wasn’t used at all in Power Rangers, people speculated that Saban wouldn’t be using the footage from Gokaiger where the Dairanger suits were used, but now it doesn’t look to be the case.

New footage shown during SDCC reveals that Saban will be keeping the Gokaiger suit footage. The new clip showed the Megaforce Rangers preparing to change into their Super Megaforce forms, and from there changing into the Dairangers.

It appears Saban will be keeping the footage, but how they’ll explain the appearance of a team that hasn’t appeared anywhere else in Power Rangers is still a mystery.

S.H.Figuarts Gokaigers Coming to North America!

Posted on July 18, 2013 at 1:11 am by Kiryu under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

Let’s make a show of it!

Gokaiger’s S.H.Figuarts will be landing state side courtesy of Bluefin! They’ll be released under their Super Megaforce names.

No release dates have been announced, but collectors will know that unlike most Sentai Figuarts, only Gokai Yellow and Gokai Pink were limited run Web Exclusive releases.

For now, it looks as though the Darins, which came packaged with GokaiYellow and Gokai Pink and were released as First Run pre order bonuses for the boys will be omitted from the North American release.

Thanks to Tokunation member Kamen Blitz and Herotaku for the heads up!

First Image of Megaforce Rangers Using Gokaiger Mobirates and Keys

Posted on July 11, 2013 at 12:39 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Thanks to our good friends at RangerCrew.com we have the first actual image of the Power Rangers Megaforce preparing to go in to their “super modes” by using the morphing device from the Super Sentai Gokaiger, known in that series as a Mobirate. You can also see that they have Ranger Keys in the Mobirate, more or less confirmed that’s how they will actually transform in to the Super Megaforce Power Rangers.

Again, big special thanks to Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com for the heads up and this image.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce at Licensing Expo Round-Up – Images, more!

Posted on June 19, 2013 at 1:31 am by Chris under Conventions, Other Conventions, Power Rangers

In case you missed it, we’ve recently wrapped up the Licensing Expo in Nevada, where our first official images of Power Rangers Super Megaforce were shown. We got the press-release (which didn’t detail hardly anything we didn’t already know) but as for information regarding merchandise and toys … we only know that we’re getting them. There’s hope that we’ll see some of the first stuff around San Diego Comic Con next month, and TokuNation.com will be there to give you all your first look at whatever Bandai of America brings!

TokuNation.com member and RangerCrew.com founder Fury Diamond was in attendance at this year’s Licensing Expo and took a ton of images as well as video – did you know that the Power Rangers Super Megaforce actually showed up at the expo? The suits, not the actors.

Click here to check out Power Rangers Super Megaforce at Licensing Expo!

You’ll also find another Saban Brands property, Digimon Fusion, at the link above.

Thanks to Fury Diamond for all of this – great job buddy!!

NOTE: Image not from licensing expo.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Official Unveiling

Posted on June 17, 2013 at 1:59 pm by ZeoRangerV under Power Rangers

With the Licensing International Expo just about to get under way, Saban Brands have officially unveiled the 2014 Power Rangers series, entitled Power Rangers Super Megaforce, via a press release and an official teaser poster. Power Rangers Super Megaforce will follow on as the second half of Power Rangers Megaforce, with footage adapted from the 35th Super Sentai series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.

The press release is as follows:

Saban Brands announced today that it will launch Saban’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the newest season of Power Rangers, in 2014 on Nickelodeon. Power Rangers, one of the top rated and longest running boys live-action series in television history, offers SUPER MEGA action, excitement, humor and entertainment, while maintaining core themes of friendship, teamwork, fitness and helping others.

“As Saban Brands and Power Rangers celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the iconic franchise this year, it is more apparent than ever that the show has a strong connection to fans of all ages and backgrounds,” said Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands. “We are happy to continue our partnership with Nickelodeon and we look forward to entertaining our fans with more action-packed, SUPER MEGA adventures in 2014 with Power Rangers Super Megaforce.”

The upcoming season of Power Rangers Super Megaforce focuses on the Rangers’ mission to defeat a massive alien army Armada that was sent to conquer Earth. To face this threat, Gosei, a supernatural guardian who has protected Earth for centuries, gives the Rangers special morphers and keys, which allow them to morph into Super Megaforce Rangers. The Rangers also have an added special ability to morph into any team of Power Rangers from the past. These super-sized adventures can only mean one thing: the all-new Power Rangers Super Megaforce has arrived!

Thanks to our friends over at Rangercrew (who are attending the Licensing Expo), we also have a hi-res version of the first promotional poster for the show. Interestingly there are two versions of this poster – one featuring only the core five rangers and another including the silver ranger.

Posted on May 1, 2013 at 6:33 pm by Kiryu under Power Rangers

Once again, photos from Instagram will give us previews of what’s upcoming for Super Megaforce, though sadly the original source has been deleted.

This time, it’s not a rumor or anything speculative, but rather a look at the card backings for the upcoming toy line. The packaging also confirms that the ranger keys will indeed be part Super Megaforce’s gimmick.
