After a trademark popped up a few days ago, fans began wondering if we’d at last learned about the next Power Rangers season.

Well, wonder no more! A new Press Release in BusinessWire officially reveals Power Rangers: Ninja Steel! Furthermore, the press release confirms Saban has renewed its contract with Nickelodeon and the network will continue airing Power Rangers until at least 2018.

Of particular note, this press release also gives us a brief story outline for the new series!


Saban’s Power Rangers Ninja Steel starts deep in space, where Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior. Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal. The evil Zircon sends his warrior contestants down to Earth to steal the Crystal, where each epic battle against the Rangers is broadcast throughout the universe. Together, the Rangers must master their arsenal of Throwing Stars, Zords and Megazords, each made of legendary ninja steel, in order to stop this evil threat and save our planet from destruction.

Ninja Steel’s executive producer is again fan-favorite Chip Lynn, whose efforts on Power Rangers Dino Charge were greatly welcomed by the fandom. Based on this name and description, we can assume Ninja Steel will be using footage from the 39th Super Sentai Series, Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.

Bandai of Japan’s continuing their Kamen Rider Converge series, with a 2nd set of these cute little Riders having just been announced.

Kamen Rider Converge Series 2 will include: Agito Ground Form, Gills, Decade, the Horse Orphenoch, and a final yet to be revealed character. Price and release details are currently unknown, but we’ll bring more updates as they’re made avalaible.

Get ready fans of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – the day you’ve been waiting for is just about here! On Wednesday, January 13th the first release of the brand new comic from BOOM! Studios, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Issue #0, releases at a comic store near you! Giving you just a taste of what’s in store, the actual first issue will release in March 2016 as the on-going series officially kicks off!

As we reported last week, we were lucky enough to be given an early preview of Issue #0 – be sure to check out our full, SPOILER-filled review – and now we’ve been cleared to share out images from this first issue! In light of not ruining anything for those of you who do NOT want to be spoiled, we should note that our images here are a few panels … nothing full page. On top of that, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to white-out the text balloons so you can enjoy the artwork (we picked some of our favorites) without any spoilers being given.

Great news for those of you who love the older Super Sentai series! Shout! Factory TV, the digital entertainment side of Shout! Factory, will be hosting a live stream marathon of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger (best known to Power Rangers fans as the Sentai series that spawned Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) on Saturday, January 23rd in an event being billed as Super Sentai Spectacular Saturday!

The livestream marathon will be hosted by tokusatsu expert August Ragone and will run from 9am PST until 12pm PST. You can watch the livestream at ShoutFactoryTV.com or via Pluto TV if you use Android, iOS, Roku, or another TV stick service.

It’s a new year and thus a new toy line is available for your favorite Power Rangers series! That’s right – Power Rangers Dino Charge is now Power Rangers Dino Supercharge and the toys are hitting all major retailers across the country (in various assortments that are causing collectors headaches … but we’ll touch on that at a later time!).

One of the sought after figures from the first wave is none other than the Purple Ranger, who made her debut in the season finale of Power Rangers Dino Charge. With thanks to our friend @doughwatchin on Twitter for helping us locate this figure (again, distribution and assortment selection is killing us), we present to you 40 images of some serious girl power!

A brand-new trailer for the upcoming 40th Super Sentai Series, Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger recently aired in Japan!

This time we get to see the fighting styles for this wild team, along with a quick glimpse at some enemy forces-

And the 2017 season of Power Rangers is finally on its way!

Saban Brands has apparently filed a trademark for the name Ninja Steel!

The trademark usage in question refers to Entertainment services in the nature of a live-action television series; entertainment services in the nature of development, production and distribution of a live-action television series; entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of motion pictures; entertainment services in the nature of development and production of multimedia entertainment content

Based on this naming, we can assume the 24th (and likely 25th) season(s) of Power Rangers will be using footage from the 39th Super Sentai Series, Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.

Straight out of left field comes a brand new Megazord for the Power Rangers Dino Supercharge toy line! Found by Twitter user @toQgers at a Wal-Mart store in Las Vegas, Nevada, this Limited Edition Dino Charge Megazord figure is an unexpected surprise to fans as nearly no one saw this one coming.

The colors are green and black with gold trim – meaning those black limbs will go really nice with your Black T-Rex Zord that you picked up from Amazon or Target the other day.

It’s almost here! The very first issue of the new on-going Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book, published by BOOM! Studios, releases on January 13th, 2016. We were fortunate enough to be given a special preview of this monumental first issue and have written up a review!

It’s the first day back at school for our heroes and more importantly it’s the first day back at school for the recently freed-from-mind-control Tommy, aka the Green Ranger. But as our green hero quickly learns, one can never just walk away from the Rita Repulsa without some serious side effects. Can Tommy overcome the visions he’s having and focus on saving the world? Or will his hangover from being the evil Green Ranger eventually doom him, his friends, and innocent civilians? The answer may surprise you…
