The video contains both the encodes from NBC as well as CBS. It’s important to note that CBS was obviously reading an out-dated fact sheet, naming the Power Rangers Samurai characters instead of the Power Rangers Megaforce characters.

A press release from Saban Brands has hit the Internet today and, like last year, has informed us that the new Power Rangers Super Megaforce heroes will be making their debut at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The information, with thanks to Fury Diamond and his blog Samuraicast Blog, reads as follows:

The Power Rangers Super Megaforce are making their MEGA debut at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Saving the world from evil, this iconic team of superheroes calls on legendary Power Rangers from the past and the future. With the Power Rangers Super Megaforce on hand, and some added help from surprise guests, the Earth is well protected this Turkey Day.[/i]

As Power Rangers Megaforce begins to near an end and we get closer and closer to the expected February launch of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, which is the adaption of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, information about the villains is beginning to leak.

For starters, Xenotome from RangerBoard posted that John Leigh will be voicing a character by the name of Damaras in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. Ironically enough, there’s a bad guy general in Gokaiger by the name of Damaras. Mystery solved. John Leigh has also voiced Brownbeard from Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, Dr. Belrab in Power Rangers Ninja Storm, and most recently the Fisherman in Power Rangers Samurai.

To top that off, @nightmere10 from Twitter discovered that Rebecca Parr will be voicing a character by the name of Princess Levira for 19 episodes of Super Megaforce. While no one is able to confirm is Princess Levira is the Zangyack Empire’s Insarn, it’s a pretty safe bet, as the Zangyack Empire has been touted as being royalty in the Super Megaforce adaption.

In a recent press release, Saban has announced that for better or for worse they’ll be continuing their successful current partnership with Nickelodeon into 2016.

The President of Saban Brands Elie Dekl had this to say about the continued partnership:

“Our partnership with Nickelodeon has been instrumental in maintaining the popularity of the Power Rangers brand and introducing the series to a new generation of kids. Furthermore, our Power Rangers partnership with Bandai has remained strong throughout the past two decades as they continue to develop new products that kids love around the world. We are thrilled to extend the agreements with both Bandai and Nickelodeon, and look forward to continuing these strong partnerships for years to come.”

In what might possibly be his first interview, Sean CW Johnson, who played Carter the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Red Ranger, was kind enough to answer some questions for Fury Diamond and our friends at RangerCrew.com.

In the interview, Sean talks about how he got his role in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, as well as his own thoughts and feelings about returning to the role of Carter for the Power Rangers Super Megaforce season finale episode, “Legendary Battle”.

Jason David Frank, better known as Tommy Oliver in the Power Rangers Universe, has updated via YouTube a preview of his upcoming documentary entitled “My Morphin Life”. Not only is his documentary going to showcase the life of the Green Ranger, it’s also giving us our first look at some stuff from the final episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce titled “Legendary Battle”.

The users at TokuNation.com must have felt that the color yellow was being highly under-represented in the voting process, because they’ve come together to vote Ciara Hanna, who plays Gia Moran the Yellow Ranger of the current series Power Rangers Megaforce as the 12th Best Power Ranger of All Time!

We’re only a handful of episodes in to Power Rangers Megaforce, but we do know that Gia carries on to the Yellow Super Megaforce Ranger, which for Super Sentai fans was a huge favorite as Gokai Yellow.

Jason David Frank has posted a picture on his official Facebook fan page which revealed the cover of the script to the last episode of Super Megaforce signed by the cast. The title of the last episode is “Legendary Battle”, it takes scenes from original source of Gokaiger episodes 50/51 and episode 01.

Thanks to our good friend Fury Diamond over at Rangercrew.com and Samuraicast we have a look at the Power Rangers Super Megaforce trailer that was screened at this year’s San Diego Comic Con!

This trailer features plenty of footage from the adapted Super Sentai series Gokaiger, but also shots of the Megaforce rangers and their transformation from the Megaforce to Super Megaforce costumes.

Since the suit footage from Gosei Sentai Dairanger wasn’t used at all in Power Rangers, people speculated that Saban wouldn’t be using the footage from Gokaiger where the Dairanger suits were used, but now it doesn’t look to be the case.

New footage shown during SDCC reveals that Saban will be keeping the Gokaiger suit footage. The new clip showed the Megaforce Rangers preparing to change into their Super Megaforce forms, and from there changing into the Dairangers.

It appears Saban will be keeping the footage, but how they’ll explain the appearance of a team that hasn’t appeared anywhere else in Power Rangers is still a mystery.
