First Image of Megaforce Rangers Using Gokaiger Mobirates and Keys

Posted on July 11, 2013 at 12:39 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Thanks to our good friends at RangerCrew.com we have the first actual image of the Power Rangers Megaforce preparing to go in to their “super modes” by using the morphing device from the Super Sentai Gokaiger, known in that series as a Mobirate. You can also see that they have Ranger Keys in the Mobirate, more or less confirmed that’s how they will actually transform in to the Super Megaforce Power Rangers.

Again, big special thanks to Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com for the heads up and this image.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce at Licensing Expo Round-Up – Images, more!

Posted on June 19, 2013 at 1:31 am by Chris under Conventions, Other Conventions, Power Rangers

In case you missed it, we’ve recently wrapped up the Licensing Expo in Nevada, where our first official images of Power Rangers Super Megaforce were shown. We got the press-release (which didn’t detail hardly anything we didn’t already know) but as for information regarding merchandise and toys … we only know that we’re getting them. There’s hope that we’ll see some of the first stuff around San Diego Comic Con next month, and TokuNation.com will be there to give you all your first look at whatever Bandai of America brings!

TokuNation.com member and RangerCrew.com founder Fury Diamond was in attendance at this year’s Licensing Expo and took a ton of images as well as video – did you know that the Power Rangers Super Megaforce actually showed up at the expo? The suits, not the actors.

Click here to check out Power Rangers Super Megaforce at Licensing Expo!

You’ll also find another Saban Brands property, Digimon Fusion, at the link above.

Thanks to Fury Diamond for all of this – great job buddy!!

NOTE: Image not from licensing expo.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Official Unveiling

Posted on June 17, 2013 at 1:59 pm by ZeoRangerV under Power Rangers

With the Licensing International Expo just about to get under way, Saban Brands have officially unveiled the 2014 Power Rangers series, entitled Power Rangers Super Megaforce, via a press release and an official teaser poster. Power Rangers Super Megaforce will follow on as the second half of Power Rangers Megaforce, with footage adapted from the 35th Super Sentai series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.

The press release is as follows:

Saban Brands announced today that it will launch Saban’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the newest season of Power Rangers, in 2014 on Nickelodeon. Power Rangers, one of the top rated and longest running boys live-action series in television history, offers SUPER MEGA action, excitement, humor and entertainment, while maintaining core themes of friendship, teamwork, fitness and helping others.

“As Saban Brands and Power Rangers celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the iconic franchise this year, it is more apparent than ever that the show has a strong connection to fans of all ages and backgrounds,” said Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands. “We are happy to continue our partnership with Nickelodeon and we look forward to entertaining our fans with more action-packed, SUPER MEGA adventures in 2014 with Power Rangers Super Megaforce.”

The upcoming season of Power Rangers Super Megaforce focuses on the Rangers’ mission to defeat a massive alien army Armada that was sent to conquer Earth. To face this threat, Gosei, a supernatural guardian who has protected Earth for centuries, gives the Rangers special morphers and keys, which allow them to morph into Super Megaforce Rangers. The Rangers also have an added special ability to morph into any team of Power Rangers from the past. These super-sized adventures can only mean one thing: the all-new Power Rangers Super Megaforce has arrived!

Thanks to our friends over at Rangercrew (who are attending the Licensing Expo), we also have a hi-res version of the first promotional poster for the show. Interestingly there are two versions of this poster – one featuring only the core five rangers and another including the silver ranger.

Check out the full-sized images after the jump!

Jason David Frank’s Special Megaforce Cameo Adventures Part 1

Posted on June 5, 2013 at 11:56 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Jason David Frank has been very busy lately posting up images and now videos from his time filming the cameo role of Tommy Oliver on Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

He’s been promising pictures and videos and he’s delivering. Check out the following video, originally posted on Jason David Frank’s Facebook page.

Highlights include Hector David Jr (Mike, Samurai) doing flips over Allison MacInnis (Dana, Lightspeed Rescue), as well as Reggie Rolle (Damon, Lost Galaxy) being too “urban” to cross a river.

Titanium Ranger confirmed in Super Megaforce

Posted on June 4, 2013 at 12:49 pm by DaiRiderRX under Power Rangers

Just now on his Facebook page, Jason David Frank, known by most as the legendary Tommy Oliver, posted a group photo with some of the other rangers. What makes this newsworthy is that you can clearly see the Titanium Ranger suit will be used in Super Megaforce!

How he will be used is unknown at this time, but stay tuned to Tokunation to find out!

Super Megaforce Logo Revealed?

Posted on May 29, 2013 at 6:10 pm by Kiryu under Power Rangers

As with most of our on going Super Mega Force[/B] rumors, take this news posting with a grain of salt. None the less, the Super Megaforce Logo has been found on Rangercrew posted by Rangercrew member Mezodon on a promotional image featuring GokaiRed, GokaiBlue, and GokaiGreen though sadly leaving out Gokai Pink and Yellow.

Jason David Frank Confirms Super Megaforce Cameo List

Posted on May 29, 2013 at 1:51 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Jason David Frank (Tommy, a Power Rangers legend as MMPR Green, MMPR White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black), confirmed via his official Facebook page that the cameos we’ve seen in the images posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are it … no other past Rangers appeared.

The finalized list is as follows:

Jason David Frank – (“Tommy” Mighty Morphin Green and White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black)
Selwyn Ward – (“TJ” Turbo Red, In Space Blue)
Patricia Ja Lee – (“Cassie” Turbo Pink, In Space Pink)
Danny Slavin – (“Leo” Lost Galaxy Red)
Reggie Rolle – (“Damon” Lost Galaxy Green)
Melody Perkins – (“Karone” In Space Astronema, Lost Galaxy Pink)
Sean Johnson – (“Carter” Lightspeed Red)
Alison MacInnis – (“Dana” Lightspeed Pink)
Jason Faunt – (“Wes” Time Force Red)
Hector David Jr – (“Mike” Samurai Green)
Brittany Pirtle – (“Emily” Samurai Yellow)

The exact quote from Jason David Frank is as follows:

Thats the only 10 that were pick guys. No other rangers came back. Thats the legendary cast for that ep.

So there you have it. We’d like to point out that yes, that is a list of ELEVEN, but the original list provided by RangerCrew.com’s Fury Diamond did not include Patricia Ja Lee. Whether she showed up on her own dime, or Jason David Frank really did do this for one dollar allowing her to be able to come, has yet to be revealed.

Titanium Ranger, an American-Created Power Ranger, Spotted in Video

Posted on May 27, 2013 at 7:04 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

This may make some of our Rhett Fisher fans a bit antsy.

Some videos have popped up from Justin Betancourt, who is working with/on Power Rangers Super Megaforce. In the video (linked below) you can see a Power Ranger clad in silver walking in front of the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. At the end of the video he turns … revealing a “V” cut shape in his helmet.

We’ve included a picture in the news story for reference.

Here’s a link to the video:

http://vine.co/v/bVxIW7niBxB

Previously thought to be excluded from Power Rangers Super Megaforce due to lack of Japanese footage and the fact it was an American-created suit from 13 years ago, as well as learning there would be no “Ranger Key” created for the character, it would appear that the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Titanium Ranger will indeed be appearing in Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Still no word (or evidence) of the American-exclusive Power Rangers Jungle Force Spirit Rangers.

Special thanks to RangerCrew.com member IoriJericho for the find!

Carter Grayson has returned!

Posted on May 26, 2013 at 4:07 am by DaiRiderRX under Power Rangers

For those of you paying attention to all the news about Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Sean Johnson, better known as Carter Grayson aka Lightspeed Rescue Red, was listed as one of the 10 confirmed cameos, but it wasn’t until this photo from Jason Faunt’s instagram account that we had physical evidence that the most manliest red ranger ever (in my opinion) was returning

no news has come up about his ultimate tool to defeating bad guys, the team jeep, will make an apperance in Super Megaforce, but stay tuned into Tokunation to find out!

credit goes to tokunation user WhiteRanger for letting us know of this!
