For twenty-nine years, the Power Rangers have graced television (or streaming services) across the world as ordinary teenagers/young-adults with attitude have taken up arms to fight evil forces. And now – quite possibly for the last time – the Power Rangers once again harness unimaginable powers to face their greatest and oldest foe in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, premiering worldwide on September 29th exclusively on Netflix. We were provided with a screener copy of the 30th season of Power Rangers to review and share with Power Rangers fans. This is our non-spoiler review. On September 29th, we will share a full spoiler-filled review with more detailed and concrete thoughts. There are specific story beats and moments that have been requested to be left off any reviews until the series premieres, and we are complying with that request in this review.
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury takes place immediately following the events of the finale in the second season of Power Rangers Dino Fury. Zayto and the others have chased Lord Zedd across the galaxy to the planet Zordnia. Almost immediately, the Power Rangers Dino Fury find themselves in an unfavorable situation that shakes the very makeup of their team to the core. What follows is a heart-warming story of family, friendship, and focusing on hope. Here are the basic bits.
The next Super Sentai series title has been revealed thanks to @Trademark_bot! The official title is Bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger. Obviously, fans are speculating but there is no official information available and won’t be for months to come. However, known leakers are already scrambling to verify information that has been whispered for weeks.
If anything concrete comes out we will be sure to share it with you.
UPDATE: Word is we are looking at the return of a vehicle-based Sentai, with rumored “crashing” combining gimmicks utilizing magnets. All of this is strictly rumors and should only be looked at as rumor/speculation for the time being. We’ve updated the wording in our story to reflect this.
Two years ago, writer Mat Groom (Mighty Morphin, Marvel’s Ultraman, Image’s Self/Made) and artist Erica D’Urso (Captain Marvel, Xena: Warrior Princess) launched their co-created graphic novel superhero, Inferno Girl Red, on Kickstarter and took the comics world and tokusatsu community by storm! The book was fully funded and then some and even managed to see an actual retail release at comic book stores. To say it was a success is simply not true – it was a massive hit! And now it’s time to relive the magic with the Inferno Girl Red Book 2 Kickstarter!
With a needed funding goal of $85,000, Inferno Girl Red Book 2 looks to continue the story of Cássia Costa after the dramatic events from the first Inferno Girl Red book. Mat Groom and Erica D’Urso return as co-creators and as writer and artist, but they’re not alone! Rejoining the group from the first book is Igor Monti on colors, Becca Carey on letters, Kyle Higgins as editor, and Michael Busuttil as the glue that kind of puts it all together.

Looks like Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger is about to get wild!
A new piece of merchandise has been revealed for the current Super Sentai series- confirming a CROSSOVER with the iconic Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year).
This is our first image of the DX King GaburiCaliber an updated version of the Kyoryuger weapon with a new ShuGod inspired Zyudenchi. KyoRyu Red is shown in a new type of uniform similar to the King-Ohger team thanks to this new power.
In addition, we also have a quick teaser for a new updated release of the DX Kyoryuzin mecha! This updated version is compatible with the DX King-Ohger release- taking the place of God Kuwagata.

Thanks to Toy Scope on Facebook, we have our first look at the upcoming Power Rangers Lightning Collection Master Morpher! This roleplay item was featured exclusively in the 25th anniversary episode “Dimensions in Danger”, as Tommy Oliver used it to morph in to all his different Power Rangers forms.
It was also featured in the graphic novel Soul of the Dragon as well as the upcoming 30th Anniversary Special comic from BOOM! Studios.
Pricing and release details are unknown. Fan speculation is that this item will be revealed for release at Hasbro Pulsecon at the end of this month. However, with the toy line currently on hiatus, who knows if this item even sees release.

The current Super Sentai series – Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger – has reached it’s halfway point and the show is taking a rather interesting direction. Without going into too many spoilers, after the events of the most recent episodes, a two-year time-skip will occur as new villains will appear starting in September to battle the King-Ohgers.
And then – in October – another King will arrive! Daigo, aka KyoryuRed, will return in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger with a new form and an updated form of the Kyoryujin!

Entertainment Weekly has published a new ARTICLE about the upcoming season Power Rangers Cosmic Fury! This confirms a number of exciting details about this new Ranger adventure!
*Actor David Yost returns to Power Rangers once again as Billy Cranston, adding his genius and experience to a new generation of Rangers.
An official plot synopsis for Cosmic Fury states: “Lord Zedd has escaped, and this time his rampage extends to the farthest reaches of space! The Rangers need to find new Zords and new powers to face Zedd’s latest threat, and they won’t do so alone. Joined by some familiar faces, they will discover the power of the Cosmic Orbs and become the Cosmic Fury Rangers, armed with new uniforms, new weapons, and an entire new fleet of Zords!”
The intro for the new series has also been uploaded, showing that recurring Dino Fury actress Jacqueline Joe (who plays the role of Fern) is now promoted to opening credits.

Tonight was the official Toei press conference for the newest Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Gotchard! The principle cast for this new series has finally been revealed!
*Kamen Rider Gotchard (real name Hotaro Ichinose)is played by Motojima Junsei. Hotaro is a high school student supporting his mother and their family restaurant while looking for a skill to properly call his own. One day Hotaro discovers the Alchemy Academy hidden in his school, and begins to learn about the mysterious magic of the Chemie cards. A chance encounter with the Chemy Hopper leads to Hotaro activating the powers of a Kamen Rider!
*Joining Gotchard is Kudo Rinn (played by Matsumoto Reiyo– Hotaro’s best friend, a top student in their high school AND alchemy classes. She is the daughter of a legendary alchemist named Fuga who stole the original Chemy Cards 10 years before the series began.
*Yasunari Fujibayashi portrays the stern and serious Alchemy Academy graduate Spana Kuragan, possessing the power to transform into an elite warrior known as Valvarad.
*Alchemy Academy tutors Abe Otsu & Sabimaru Tsuruhaya (played by Icho Renge and Rikiya Tomizono respectively will teach Hotaro & Rinn on the properties of the Chemy Cards.
*The main villains of this season are a group known as the Three Sisters Of Darkness– consisting of Atropos, Kroto & Lachesis played by Geno Okita, Kanon Miahara, & Arisa Sakami respectively. The Sisters are powerful alchemists who seek the Chemy Cards for their own agenda.
The main theme song for Kamen Rider Gotchard is titled CHEMY X STORY and will be performed by the group Back-On.
