Announced via Nerdist.com, TokuSHOUTsu has a special event coming for the week of Thanksgiving!  A number of tokusatsu influencers, websites, and professionals have all come together to create the ultimate playlist of programming for the entire week of Thanksgiving!  We are happy to announce that on Saturday, November 25th, you can watch an entire 24 hour period of programming selected by TokuNation staff and friends (@SentaiFive and @MrCooper92).  Rest assured – there will be plenty of Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman, and Godzilla to watch during the entire week and on Saturday, November 25th.

Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming Ultraman animated project- Ultraman Rising!

In this universe, the titular Ultraman is a baseball star named Ken Sato who has recently taken up the mantle of hero. But a chance encounter with a strange foe changes his life…

Ultraman Rising will be released on Netflix in 2024.

Now you too can live just as bravely as your favorite Super Sentai team!  In the continuation of the 10th anniversary of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, Bandai has announced the upcoming Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Memorial Edition GaburiCalibur!  This Premium Bandai item will cost you 24,200 yen and is scheduled for release in June of 2024.

For fans picking up the Memorial Edition GaburiRevolver, the Memorial Edition GaburiCalibur will come with the other two Zyudenchi (Black and Green).  Stay tuned for pre-order links from site sponsor Tokullectibles!

In Japan, Toei continues to celebrate milestone anniversaries for beloved Super Sentai seasons.  One of the most celebrated seasons is Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, which has just announced a special V-Cinext special for the 20th Anniversary in 2024.  Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger 20 Years After v-Cinext has  been announced in Japan!  And with a new special comes a chance for some new merchandise!

Deka Red shows off a new form – officially called “New Form” however the license accessory calls it “Emergency Premier Red”, which allows Deka Red to transform in to a new upgraded form.  This continues the newest trend of the Sentai Red Rangers receiving new unique forms in these anniversary specials.

Fans of Garo rejoice – after years of nothing, a brand new Garo series has been announced!  Garo – The One Who Inherits the Steel – (translation) will premiere in January 2024!  Returning as Ryuuga Dogai is Wataru Kuriyama and returning as part of the directing team is veteran Garo director Yasuhiro Matsuda, alongside Yukazu Tanaka and Yoshikatsu Kimura.

The worlds of Super Sentai are colliding!

Next week, in the 32nd episode of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger the Monarchs will somehow find themselves in the world of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger!

A number of Kyoryuger alumni are confirmed returning for this adventure, including:

*Syuusuke Saito as Ian/KyoryuBlack
*Akihisa Shiono as Souji/KyoryuGreen
*Yamato Kinjo as Nossan/KyoryuBlue
*Ayuri Konno as Amy/KyoryuPink

Series regulars Candelira & Luckyuro are returning as well.

Rounding out the cast is Rintarou Kawana playing the new character Prince– the SON of KyoryuRed now bearing the powers of King KyoryuRed!

Action director Koichi Sakamoto will return for this two-part special event, beginning October 7 2023!

The annual toy show is here!  Our team is at Toy Fair 2023 and meeting with different companies and showcasing all of the product for their brands and licensed brands.

Fan favorite ThreeZero is in attendance with their latest offering of Power Rangers product!  The upcoming (release TBD) Power Rangers Zeo Red Ranger (Zeo Ranger V) is on hand as well as the upcoming Mighty Morphin Putty Patrol figure.  The other Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 1:6 scale figures are seeing a re-release in 2024 and are also on display.

For twenty-nine years, the Power Rangers have graced television (or streaming services) across the world as ordinary teenagers/young-adults with attitude have taken up arms to fight evil forces.  And now – quite possibly for the last time – the Power Rangers once again harness unimaginable powers to face their greatest and oldest foe in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, premiering worldwide on September 29th exclusively on Netflix.  We were provided with a screener copy of the 30th season of Power Rangers to review and share with Power Rangers fans.  This is our non-spoiler review.  On September 29th, we will share a full spoiler-filled review with more detailed and concrete thoughts.  There are specific story beats and moments that have been requested to be left off any reviews until the series premieres, and we are complying with that request in this review.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury takes place immediately following the events of the finale in the second season of Power Rangers Dino Fury.  Zayto and the others have chased Lord Zedd across the galaxy to the planet Zordnia.  Almost immediately, the Power Rangers Dino Fury find themselves in an unfavorable situation that shakes the very makeup of their team to the core.  What follows is a heart-warming story of family, friendship, and focusing on hope.  Here are the basic bits.

The next Super Sentai series title has been revealed thanks to @Trademark_bot!  The official title is Bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger.  Obviously, fans are speculating but there is no official information available and won’t be for months to come.  However, known leakers are already scrambling to verify information that has been whispered for weeks.

If anything concrete comes out we will be sure to share it with you.

UPDATE: Word is we are looking at the return of a vehicle-based Sentai, with rumored “crashing” combining gimmicks utilizing magnets. All of this is strictly rumors and should only be looked at as rumor/speculation for the time being. We’ve updated the wording in our story to reflect this.
