Let’s Watch Wednesdays Week 17 Kamen Rider Den-O 46-48

Posted on October 8, 2014 at 9:19 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Let’s Watch Wednesdays approaches the end of everything with Kamen Rider Den-O!

The key to the past, present, & 2 futures lies with Airi Nogami, or more accurately, her unborn child! The child of Airi & Yuuto is the key to the Junction in time. Forgotten by time itself this child is too protected for even Kai to reach. Instead he’ll rampage an army of Imagin through time, even hijacking Den-Liner! One by one the Den-Liner crew will make their last stand as the battle for everything that will ever be comes to it’s conclusion! Tune in next week for the finale of the Kamen Rider Den-O TV Series!

Den-O Trivia #17
On the topic of actors again this week, let’s talk about our main hero Den-O/Ryutaro Nogami. The young Takeru Satoh made his debut in toku as the titular rider and played Den-O over the course of the entire 49 episode series as well as the first 3 movies. And although many tokusatsu alums tend to stick to their genre or return to it later, Satoh has done neither.

To this day Kamen Rider Den-O is Takeru Satoh’s only tokusatsu credit. After leaving the franchise in 2008 and having a string of jobs in the interim Satoh made an explosive debut again as another hero, this time ripped from the pages of manga. In 2012 he emerged as the titular hero in the first film of the Ruroni Kenshin live action trilogy! Satoh reprised this role for both sequels as well; The Great Kyoto Fire, & The End of A Legend.

Power Rangers Dino Charge Character Names Revealed!

Posted on October 8, 2014 at 11:04 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

Thanks to the always helpful nightmere10 on twitter and his PowerScoop blog, we finally know the names of the Dino Charge rangers!

Actress Camille Hyde (Dino Charge Pink) posted a now deleted photo to her instagram showing the names of the 5 rangers with the actors signatures on a poster. It looks like most of the names originally mentioned in the Dino Charge casting sides used through the casting process have made it into final production. Some of the names have been changed from their placeholders though.  The final team line-up is as follows:

  • Dino Charge Red – Tyler (played by Brennan Mejia)
  • Dino Charge Blue – Koda (played by Yoshi Sudarso)
  • Dino Charge Green – Riley (played by Michael Taber)
  • Dino Charge Black – Chase (played by James Davies)
  • Dino Chrage Pink – Shelby (played by Camille Hyde).

Seeing as 3 of the 5 names from the casting sides made their way into shooting some of the other information provided by the original casting sides could still make it into the show as well. Reports claim that Black/Chase will indeed ride a skateboard as the sides indicated. With the names of the initial 5 rangers now known, it’s only a matter of time before we start hearing some of the plot details for Power Rangers Dino Charge as well!

TK-01 Tire Koukan Kamen Rider Drive Gallery

Posted on October 8, 2014 at 1:31 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Kamen Rider Drive’s first episode has finally aired and the first waves of the toy line have made their way into sp,e collector’s hands. Specifically mine! so today we’re taking a look at the very first figure in Drive’s Tire Koukan gimmick line! TK-01 Kamen Rider Drive (Type Speed) is the first in what appears to be a pretty long line of new gimmick figures. Having already revealed up to 8 regular releases and at least one SP release, Tire Koukan should have the same kind of awesome staying power that Arms Change did.

Following up from last years fantastically well received Arms Change line, Tire Koukan has a similar gimmick, literally swapping various themed tires onto Drive and other compatible figures by splitting the figure diagonally in half! This unique gimmick carries itself well to toy form and much like AC’s this new line of TK figures does not disappoint. Drive includes his standard Speed Tire & the Max Flare Tire for additional play. Though this figure is lite on the accessories it’s got plenty of playability and will be right at home with the rest of your riders!

Click “discuss on the TokuNation forums” at the bottom of this post to check out our full review of this figure as well as over 70 images! I’ve been personally sold on Kamen Rider Drive the show, and now the toy line. So expect more Drive galleries in the near future! Start your engine!

Kamen Rider Drive’s Secondary Rider Revealed: KAMEN RIDER MACH!

Posted on October 7, 2014 at 9:43 am by Paladin under Kamen Rider

A new round of toy scans has surfaced online. This gives us our first look at the secondary rider for the newly-begun series. A new warrior known as Kamen Rider Mach will be joining the Drive team!

Kamen Rider Mach uses another set of miniature vehicles tentatively known as Signal Bikes for his powers, with changes in Machs’ combat style represented by a road sign on the new Rider’s chest. Mach’s powers come from the Mach Driver a device that scans the Signal Bikes.

Kamen Rider Mach reverts to the traditional Rider transportation methods; his main vehicle is a white motorcycle known as the Rider Macher. Interestingly, the scans demonstrate a combination feature between the Ride Macher & enemy Machin Chaser’s Ride Chaser. What might this mean for the future adventures of Kamen Riders Mach & Drive? Only time will tell! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on all Kamen Rider Drive news!

New S.H. Figuarts B-Fighter Images, G-Stag & Reddle Teased

Posted on October 7, 2014 at 4:50 am by ZeoRangerV under Metal Heroes

The official Tamashii Nations blog has just released some brand new images of the forthcoming web exclusive Blue Beet and Black Beet S.H. Figuarts figures, and along with them comes a shadowy picture of the remaining members of the Juukou B-Fighter team – G-Stag and Reddle! That’s right, the complete team will indeed be coming to the Figuarts line.

Western toku fans may better know these characters as the Green Hunter and Red Striker Beetleborgs from Big Bad Beetleborgs, the series which Saban adapted Juukou B-Fighter into.

No release date has been given for these two figures yet, but with the Tamashii Nations 2014 event coming at the end of the month more information could be coming soon. In the meantime, enjoy the teaser image along with the new images of Blue Beet (due for release in January) and Black Beet (due in March)!
