under Power Rangers

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the first episode airing of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.  To commemorate such a momentous occasion, Hasbro has put up a brand new t-shirt of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team and Dino Megazord on HasbroPulse!

The t-shirt is created by MAD Engine Global, part of MAD Engine Inc., which is an apparel licensee of Hasbro and Power Rangers specifically.

Fans have already notated, however, that some of the images (the Red Ranger and Dino Megazord specifically) are simple traces from previously released product or product images, and features very little to no new art.

With the conclusion of Kamen Rider Geats, Bandai is celebrating the series by offering up Premium DX Memorial versions of the main four Kamen Rider characters via Premium Bandai Japan.  Thanks to site sponsor Tokullectibles, you can also pre-order these items today!  They are as follows:

Even though Kamen Rider Geats has officially come to an end, Tamashii Nations is teasing that more merchandise – specifically S.H. Figuarts – is still to come for this fan-favorite series!  Teased via Twitter, an image has been released revealing what looks to be the entry forms for many of the random Kamen Riders that appeared in the show.

No concrete information exists, but our best guess is that it may be a single “blank” figure that comes with a number of attachments to change which “entry” Kamen Rider you can display.  For completionists, we feel for your bank accounts.

under Super Sentai

The current Super Sentai series – Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger – has reached it’s halfway point and the show is taking a rather interesting direction.  Without going into too many spoilers, after the events of the most recent episodes, a two-year time-skip will occur as new villains will appear starting in September to battle the King-Ohgers.

And then – in October – another King will arrive!  Daigo, aka KyoryuRed, will return in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger with a new form and an updated form of the Kyoryujin!

The return of KyoryuRed is in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.  You can pre-order the new Kyoryuger merchandise – which will be compatible with the King-Ohger mecha – from our site sponsor Tokullectibles!

The wave of new product continues as Bandai and Tamashii Nations announced today the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Geats Laser Boost and Boost Form Mark II!

This figure contains pieces to create both forms (Laser Boost and Boost Form Mark II).  The price is listed at 9,900 yen and releases in February 2024 in Japan via Premium Bandai.  While no official US release has been announced, the information page for S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Geats Laser Boost and Boost Form Mark II does show US distribution, so keep your eyes peeled to the US Premium Bandai website.

The next wave of Kamen Rider Geats characters and forms are on their way from Bandai and Tamashii Nations.  Announced today for a Premium Bandai Japan release is none other than the biggest Kamen Rider Geats fan there is – Kamen Rider Ziin!

He is priced at 8,800 yen and is scheduled to release in February 2024.  While no official announcement has been made as of yet, the information page for S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ziin does show US as one of the countries receiving distribution, so keep your eyes peeled to the US Premium Bandai site.

The Shokugan Modeling Project continues on in the celebration of Gosei Sentai Dairanger‘s 30th anniversary.  With SMP DairenOh releasing later this month, we now get our first look at the Shokugan Modeling Project Won Tiger (or MMPR Tigerzord for those unfamiliar with Super Sentai).

This upcoming model kit allows you to build Won Tiger and recreate plenty of iconic scenes from Dairanger/Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.  Check out the included pictures for combinations and some amazing pictures.  The item retails at 13,000 yen and is scheduled to release in Japan in December 2023.

under Conventions, Ultraman

Fans of Ultraman Blazar should find their way up north to Toronto, Canada for Fan Expo Canada this August 24th thru 27th.  Tsuburaya Productions announced today that Ultraman Blazar will be featured at Fan Expo Canada with panels and special guests (to be announced).  The panels are put on by the official Ultraman International Fan Hub, Ultraman Connection, and will be held at 1pm on Friday, August 25th and 1pm on Saturday, August 26th.  To get in to the panel you only need your Fan Expo Canada ticket but attendance is limited.

Bandai is also bringing Ultraman Blazar to Fan Expo Canada!  This is your chance to have your picture taken with the suit from the show.  Fans can have their pictures taken at the Bandai booth and other Ultraman licensee booths throughout the show.  More details will be revealed throughout the week.
