Power Rangers Megaforce “The Human Factor” Available on Hulu

Posted on October 21, 2013 at 11:04 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Apparently Hulu didn’t get the message of the order of episodes airing of this season’s Power Rangers Megaforce because they jumped the gun. While you’re still unable to view “Raising Spirits” – the Halloween episode that aired this last weekend – the episode slated to air THIS weekend, “The Human Factor”, is currently available on Hulu.

This episode features the premiere of Metal Alice, the robot Vrak creates to help him destroy the Power Rangers and conquer the Earth. On top of a ton of beautiful original footage of Vrak and Metal Alice, we have a great episode as Robo Knight has to make the ultimate decision – if he’s to protect the Earth, wouldn’t removing the very humans that pollute it be logical?

Bandai of America Hints at Legacy Titanus in Vangelus.ca Interview

Posted on October 20, 2013 at 11:23 am by Chris under New York Comic Con

If you remember, our own administrator Sentai Tamashii was able to sit down and interview the folks with Bandai of America at this year’s NYCC. If you haven’t read the TWO interviews we got to do, you can find them here:

Click here for the initial interview!
Click here for the follow-up interview!

Friend to the site, board member, and Internet Personality Vangelus, also sat down with Greg Mitchell (marketing) from Bandai of America and talked about Power Rangers and other Bandai properties. In the interview, they “hypothetically” discuss the “third part of the original Megazord that combined with all three” and that they’re “looking in to it”. That would be Titanus the carrier-zord, who when combined with the Megazord and Dragonzord became the Ultrazord.

Check out Vangelus‘ interview with Bandai of America below!

Also be sure to check out his website Vangelus.ca for some amazing toy reviews and his weekly WTF@TFW2005 podcast about Transformers!

Sneak Peak at Godzilla 2014 Toy Assortments

Posted on October 20, 2013 at 11:04 am by Chris under Godzilla

The Legendary Godzilla film coming next summer has many, many kaiju fans excited, and both kids and kids-at-heart alike are almost as eager for the new toys that will come of Godzilla 2014 and his unnamed new foes.

Earlier today, courtesy of online store Urban Collector, we now know a little more about the main toyline coming next year, to be released by Bandai America. Four different preorders are currently known of assortments (cases) of Godzilla products, with a continuation of the Chibi Figure line as two-packs, a new Deluxe action figure price point, smaller gimmicky action figures, and the return of a smaller style playset similar to the Crumble Zone released many years ago.

Do note that no pictures of the lines are currently available and that there are spoilers relating to Godzilla’s opponents given in these descriptions. Read on to learn more!

Bluefin Hints at SDCC 2014 Exclusive – SH Figuarts MMPR Armored Black Ranger

Posted on October 17, 2013 at 1:36 pm by Chris under San Diego Comic Con

Internet personality Vangelus interviewed Bluefin Tamashii Nations regarding their business and how exactly SH Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers happened. He asked if we could ever see an armored Black Ranger, based on the Season 1 episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers where the Black Ranger took the Dragon Armor from the Green Ranger to battle the Oysterizer.

At around the 4:34 mark, Adam Newman and Xaiver Lim from Bluefin have what is can only be described as a scripted banter back and forth about “Hey, we should do that as a SDCC exclusive and package it with this!”.

Check out the interview below.

What do you think? Do you want an SH Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Armored Black Ranger?

**It should be noted that the Armored Black Ranger and Shieldless Green Ranger these particular figures would be based on only appear in the Zyu2 footage created by Toei, for Saban, to increase the episode count of MMPR. Though Dragon/Green Ranger has appeared at other times without the shield he still included his arm bands. Technically speaking this would make these the first ever US exclusive rangers or variations on a standard costume to be made into SH Figuarts! A small step in the direction of Battlizers, Spirit Rangers, Titanium, and more!

Just For Fun – Power Rangers Megaforce Second Theme

Posted on October 17, 2013 at 12:52 am by Chris under Power Rangers

A lot of Power Rangers fans were disappointed when the theme for Power Rangers Megaforce turned out to be nothing more than an edited version of the Power Rangers Samurai theme song. However, as episodes continued to air, a second theme song began to air during various scenes – one where Jake and Gia morphed, during most of the Megazord finishers, and before the hiatus, an extended version during a Megazord battle.

Thanks to @PRUnreleased on Twitter, we can now enjoy that theme without the sound effects and voice overs from the TV show. Check it out below!

This is an old update (April of 2013), but I personally missed it and have been hoping that Saban Brands will release it as a single, kind of like the “extended” version they released for Power Rangers Super Samurai on Amazon and iTunes.

What do you think? Should this have been the Power Rangers Megaforce theme song? And would you purchase it online to listen to? Voice up and let the powers that be know!

Power Rangers Megaforce Halloween Episode "Raising Spirits" Preview

Posted on October 16, 2013 at 1:05 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Ever since Saban Brands purchased back the rights to Power Rangers, they’ve treated viewers with both a Halloween episode and a Christmas-themed episode. This year’s installment of the Halloween special is titled “Raising Spirits”, and there’s a clip available at Nickelodeon’s website.

The clip doesn’t reveal much – though we laugh at the unintentional foreshadowing as Ernie is dressed as a pirate.

Click here to check it out!

Special thanks to @SilurianRanger on Twitter for the heads up!

Power Rangers Megaforce Final Episodes Spoilers

Posted on October 14, 2013 at 11:19 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

We’re writing this post with the assumption that you, the casual viewer, has never seen the Sentai version of Power Rangers Megaforce titled Goseiger, nor the Super Sentai anniversary season that followed, titled Gokaiger. So if you HAVE seen them – this news story will bore you, except for maybe seeing how it’s adapted for American audiences.

If you HAVEN’T seen them, you yourself can be spoiled if you like! Let’s just ask some questions…

Who is Metal Alice? What’s going to happen to Vrak? Who is The Messenger, and what is this Armada he keeps speaking of? And whatever happened with Troy’s legendary dream with a ton of Power Rangers fighting a big army?

All is revealed in these final 5 episodes of Power Rangers Megaforce, to be followed in 2014 with Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Our good friend Fury Diamond knows, as he’s caught up on these episodes (via international airing). And you know what? You can read all about the spoilers by clicking here to visit his blog!

Needless to say, it appears the finale will be MEGA. And that next season is just going to be … SUPER MEGA. (You ever wonder if the Super Megaforce Rangers will have an Ultra mode, and be called Super Ultra Megaforce?)

Included in this news post are the images from the Target screens. We’ve also copied a number of his discoveries in the second post of this thread – including a number of items that relate to everything from Wild Force to Samurai toy-wise.

TokuNation.com Interview with Bandai of America at NYCC 2013

Posted on October 11, 2013 at 1:48 pm by Chris under New York Comic Con

Our administrator Sentai Tamashii sat down with Brehan Maul of Bandai of America who was kind enough to answer a variety of questions that we submitted from you, our users. So let’s dive straight in to them, shall we?

Regarding the Legendary Morpher[/u]
For starters – yes, the Legendary Morpher does open and close clam-shell like, just like the show. Also, the keypad is fully functional. Each Ranger Key is unique, and will unlock a unique sound when used. Also, when you turn certain keys in immediate sequence (example: Super Megaforce Red, then Blue, then Green, then Yellow, then Pink) you will unlock a special sound. There will be many special combinations that will be leaked after release. It was not stated outright, but it was implied that the Legendary Morpher has a larger sound-bank than the Gokaiger Mobirate.

Regarding Ranger Keys[/u]
While they couldn’t come right out and say if we would be getting a Ranger Key of any of the exclusive Power Rangers (Titanium, Elephant, Shark, Bat), it was stated that yes, Super Megaforce will have USA exclusive Ranger Keys that Japan did not get. Again, each key is unique and will unlock a special sound in the Legendary Morpher. Also, each key has a graphic that you can scan with an upcoming app that will then unlock that Power Ranger in the app.

Regarding Legacy items for Collectors[/u]
For starters, if you thought the Legacy Dragon Dagger looked impressive, check out this fact – the sample is all plastic! The final release will not be all plastic, though they did state that for safety reasons, the blade of the dagger will NOT be diecast metal. And for those wondering – the Legacy Dragon Dagger and Legacy Dragonzord are NOT the final Legacy items. There are more planned. Bandai of America would like to move on to series other than Mighty Morphin but nothing is planned at this time. So the future Legacy items will continue to be Mighty Morphin themed.

Regarding the Power Rangers Action Card Game[/u]
The Power Rangers ACG will continue through Super Megaforce.

Again, a huge thank you to Brehan Maul from Bandai of America for taking the time to not only answer our questions, but to GET answers he didn’t have, as well as putting up with some of Sentai Tamashii’s technical difficulties. We will have a video of this interview after the convention is over.

So what do you think? We will do a quick run-by follow up on Sunday, so if we missed anything dire (they can’t always comment on things because marketing is different than development and some things aren’t finalized) please feel free to post it here.

Exciting year ahead of us!
