Posted on October 7, 2012 at 4:52 am by Shin Densetsu under Ultraman

Did the Ultraman Saga trailer have you itching to see more? Do you live in Hawaii or plan to be there this week? If so, you can catch the 1st screening of Ultraman Saga in the US at the Hawaii International Film Festival! The Festival runs from October 11-21. The screener is on Saturday October 13 at 11:30AM. Here’s a brief summary of the movie:

Taiga soon finds himself in the apocalyptic version of Tokyo, as Ultraman Zero battles a huge fleet of alien spaceships. As Taiga notices a crashing ship heading straight towards a young boy, he pilots his ship directly into its path in an act of self-sacrifice. Witnessing his brave actions, Ultraman Zero rescues Taiga and joins with him.

Taiga soon encounters Ultraman Cosmos and his human host Musashi, along with Team U and the children. It is now up to Taiga and Musashi to protect the survivors. However, Taiga is not so happy to be joined with Ultraman Zero, and has no intention of fighting…

Godzilla VS Biollante Coming To Blu Ray And DVD

Posted on October 4, 2012 at 12:01 am by Shin Densetsu under Godzilla

According to Dread Central, Godzilla VS Biollante will finally make its way to the US in both Blu-ray and DVD formats! Both are scheduled for release on December 4th, $6.99 for the DVD, and $14.99 for the Blu-ray. More info:

“According to Toho Kingdom, the print is expected to be taken from Toho’s pristine Japanese Blu-ray release. That means it will be seen in its original, widescreen aspect ratio with two Japanese audio tracks (2.0 stereo and 5.1 surround) with freshly commissioned English subtitles. For those that hate to read and love bad English dubbing, the Miramax English dub with Australian-sounding accents will be included.

Details of disc extras have not been officially announced just yet but it’s expected there will be a 48-minute “making of” feature and another 10-minute featurette imported from the Japanese release. In addition, there will be a commentary track by “Japanese Giants” editor Ed Godziszewski, who can be heard on numerous other American releases of Toho monster movies detailing the history and inside stories behind the various films.”

Looking forward to the release of this movie, finally in the US in December? Discuss!

More Power Rangers Redux Songs By Ron Wasserman

Posted on September 24, 2012 at 7:15 pm by Shin Densetsu under Power Rangers

20 years ago when Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was on the air, sure we saw bright visuals and high flying fight scenes. Putties with their odd yell, “seek aiyas” by a jump split-kicking guy possibly inspired by another guy he would later want to fight in an MMA match(true story…apparently), delayed explosions after the fact, and…adrenaline pumping music! If the guitar riffs got you going back then, maybe it’s time to revisit your childhood.

Ron Wasserman, the Vince DiCola of Power Rangers, was behind the very songs mentioned. However he has returned with a vengeance, with Power Rangers Redux; WIP mixes of classic Power Rangers songs. 90% finished mixes of the following songs have been added for your streaming pleasure on Soundcloud:

  • Go Go Power Rangers
  • Unite
  • I Will Win
Thanks to Kickback for the heads up. Let the explosions go off in your ears as we celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!
