Just last week, Godzilla fans and MonsterArts collectors were thrilled to see that the biggest, baddest rosebush on the planet was finally released in Japan in super-articulated form. In only one day, S.H. MonsterArts Biollante has already become the latest and greatest subject of many a 2chan image. Now, courtesy of YouTube user and Japanese toy collector bonorenosan, we have a moving-picture look at Biollante, showing off her box size, articulation, ability to rotate on a motorized stand, and light-up core!

S.H. MonsterArts Biollante is expected to ship in North America courtesy of Bluefin in December at a daikaiju-sized retail price of $229.99 and has been available for preorder at numerous retailers, including our friends at BigBadToyStore.

S.H.Monster Arts Biollante Size Comparisons

Posted on September 5, 2013 at 10:12 pm by Kiryu under Godzilla

Bandai’s up coming S.H.Monster Arts Biollante will be the largest figure in the line, far bigger then Destroyah or Ghidora released last year.

Bandai released new photos just to put the size of this monster of a figure into prospective. At her full height Biollante will stand 250mm tall and 410 mm wide!

Retailing for 23,100 yen Biolante will be due out December 2013.

Pre orders have already begun for the S.H.Monster Arts Biollante, following it’s showcase in Figureoh magazine.

As such, an official preview gallery for this figure has gone up along with the pre orders. The official images demonstrates the figure’s LED gimmick.

Biollante is perhaps the most expensive Monster Arts figure to date in the line, retailing for a whopping 23,100 yen. She is scheduled to ship sometime in November 2013.

UPDATE:

As expected Bluefin announced that they’ll be distributing Biollante to North American consumers. No word on pricing, but she’s due out in November/December

S.H. Monsterarts Biollante Release Info!

Posted on June 22, 2013 at 3:01 am by Den-O under Godzilla

Thanks to Tokunation member Lbsammills51 for pointing us to this info. The current wave of Figure Oh scans making the rounds has revealed release info for none other than S.H. Monsterarts Biollante!

This massive monster will be a Tamashii Web Exclusive with an almost assured Bluefin release for the US market. Standing 30 CM tall, that’s nearly 12″, and she will also feature a chest LED gimmick, the first of its kind for this line! Now the bad news is the price. This bad girl will run you a whopping 23,100 yen which by today’s exchange rate is $242! The price may be high but by comparison to the other larger figures of the line (Ghidorah, Destroyah) a high price tag like this is not unexpected.

EDIT: Second image added

UPDATE: First Image of S.H. MonsterArts Biollante!

Posted on October 25, 2012 at 3:39 am by baltanii under Godzilla

UPDATE:[/u] Fresh off the presses from Tamashii Nation 2012! We have our very first, but certainly not our last, image of the upcoming S.H. MonsterArts Biollante! Please also note the bits of Godzilla cut from the right edge of the photo… suggesting that Biollante isn’t the only titular star of Godzilla vs. Biollante to come from Bandai!

PREVIOUSLY: As many fellow TokuNation.com members and fans have noticed, the very first reveals of this year’s annual Tamashii Nation event have begun to trickle through. Not to be left out, our friends at Bluefin have been joining in the fun, all but confirming mere moments before an image was revealed that Sailor Moon would finally receive some much-needed attention!

However, Bluefin was also gracious enough to toss their tokusatsu fans a bone with a couple of cryptic but very revealing tweets from their official Twitter account that something else was coming. And she might be hungry…

Know what “she” is? Totally befuddled? Don’t worry, someone is sure to explain in our discussion! Expect more hints and, better yet, pictures from Tamashii Nation’s 5th Anniversary event in the coming hours and weekend, and we’ll have them all for you here at TokuNation.com!

Godzilla VS Biollante Coming To Blu Ray And DVD

Posted on October 4, 2012 at 12:01 am by Shin Densetsu under Godzilla

According to Dread Central, Godzilla VS Biollante will finally make its way to the US in both Blu-ray and DVD formats! Both are scheduled for release on December 4th, $6.99 for the DVD, and $14.99 for the Blu-ray. More info:

“According to Toho Kingdom, the print is expected to be taken from Toho’s pristine Japanese Blu-ray release. That means it will be seen in its original, widescreen aspect ratio with two Japanese audio tracks (2.0 stereo and 5.1 surround) with freshly commissioned English subtitles. For those that hate to read and love bad English dubbing, the Miramax English dub with Australian-sounding accents will be included.

Details of disc extras have not been officially announced just yet but it’s expected there will be a 48-minute “making of” feature and another 10-minute featurette imported from the Japanese release. In addition, there will be a commentary track by “Japanese Giants” editor Ed Godziszewski, who can be heard on numerous other American releases of Toho monster movies detailing the history and inside stories behind the various films.”

Looking forward to the release of this movie, finally in the US in December? Discuss!
