under Godzilla, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

Sunday was the final day of SDCC 2013 so there wasn’t much to do. We did run in to a very well done cosplay of the White Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Nothing major of note, but you can get an idea of what you run in to while walking the convention floor.

Check out the offerings from Papercutz, who teased us with their upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Graphic Novel.

NOTE: Bandai had a covered figure in the Godzilla case that said “Legendary Godzilla”. It was never pulled off and Bandai stated they could not show it at the show after all.

San Diego Comic Con 2013 is over but the images just keep on coming! We got some hands-on time with the upcoming Power Rangers 20 Monopoly. This item is shipping to stores NOW! You can find it online as well as any game specific stores (unfortunately not available in major retailers).

During San Diego Comic Con 2013 the party never seems to stop, and right now, neither do I with updating with images from the convention of the year!

Jason David Frank, or as you know him, Tommy Oliver the Green Ranger and White Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, held two special VIP Meet and Greets away from the convention center and TokuNation.com went to the latter event!

Here’s some information that Jason David Frank shared!

  • Jason is trying to convince Saban Brands to do a one-shot Green Ranger movie or show, comparing the original Green Ranger to Wolverine from the X-Men in terms of popularity and being able to stand on its own
  • The actor who played “Richie” in season 2 of Mighty Morphin was there as a way to remind a certain actor to work hard and stop slacking off because they were ready to replace him
  • Bandai had no idea that the SDCC exclusives would be this popular. They now know otherwise.

Greetings from San Diego Comic Con 2013! We’ve had a busy couple of days and now we have TONS of images to share with you!

First up, a chance walk by the Bandai booth had a photo op that we couldn’t pass up – Jason Smith who played Casey the Red Ranger on Power Rangers Jungle Fury. He also wrote some episodes of the upcoming season of Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

With him is rumored love interest Ciara Hanna, who plays Gia the Yellow Ranger on Power Rangers Super Megaforce,

under Godzilla, San Diego Comic Con

The WB and Legendary Pictures panel/screening has just wrapped at SDCC 2013 and we have some serious news regarding the Godzilla 2014 film! Luke Y. Thompson of Topless Robot attended the screening and had this to say in regards to the Godzilla footage shown:

Roll teaser. Looks like they’re playing up the nuclear aspect – lots of radiation suits, scared reaction shots, helicopters attacking…a giant spider monster thing? (Think the Acklay from Attack of the Clones). Then the giant foot comes into screen – Godzilla is ready to fight this sumbitch! We don’t see his face, but the body looks just like the familiar one we all know. The battle is at night, though, so it’s hard to judge if he’s more green or gray.

So we’ve now got confirmation of at least one other monster, possibly more than one, for the film! Filming just wrapped up 2 days ago but it sounds like the movie is really shaping up and based on audience applause we won’t be disappointed. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available!
