An official start date for the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book series from Boom! Studios has finally been announced!

The series will begin in January 2016with an Issue #0 (a short story originally released at San Diego Comic-Con last summer) written by Mairghread Scott and illustrated by Daniel Bayliss.

The proper first issue will be released in March 2016, written by DC Comics veteran Kyle Higgins! An illustrator for the main series has not yet been announced.

Originally discovered within Toys R Us computer systems way back in February, we finally have a real look at the upcoming Power Rangers Dino Charge Legendary Zord Set! Thanks to a seller on Taobao we’ve got out first official packaged images of this set.

As speculated and now confirmed the Legendary Zord Set indeed consists of reissues of the Zord Vehicle Rangers from the Mighty Morphin 2010 relaunch toy line! Originally these items were thought to be Legacy items but it looks rather like they’re going to be Toys R Us exclusives instead in Dino Charge packaging. As is this 4-pack consists of the Mighty Morphin Red, Blue, Black, & Green rangers with their respective vehicles (T-Rex, Triceratops, Mammoth, & Sabretooth Tiger).

According to the original information circulated in February this set should retail for $79.99. With packaged samples turning up on Taobao that means we should be seeing a release of this set in stores by years end at the latest. Keep an eye out and when or if you see it stores, sound off in our toys sightings forum!

Just when you thought it was safe to pull your wallet out, Bandai America slaps you across the face with a resounding “NO” and proceeds to take everything out of your wallet. Scooped tonight by our great friends at MorphinLegacy.com, a Toys’R’Us employee sent them some pictures of the database with the information in hand.

We don’t usually post up a lot of YouTube videos unless they are of brand new toys or we have a gallery going online in coordination with our good pal baltmatrix. However, we stumbled upon this one today and it was just too cool not to put up.

For those who don’t follow the YouTube scene, one of the members of the Power Force is MMPR Toys which is run by Bruno and Mia. They update about once a week and do some really impressive video work, a lot of which is on par with some of the stuff you actually see on the Power Rangers shows. This last week, they posted a video on how to make a Power Rangers “set” for your figures. It’s really informative and what the finished product is, is pretty awesome. Check out the video below!

Another tidbit was given to us from Saban Brands regarding the Gold Ranger. The Examiner.com was given an in-depth expose of the new character to the Power Rangers. We’ll give you a brief run down so you can be up to speed! Then check out the awesome images that were sent to us by Saban Brands for the arrival of the latest Gold Ranger to the team!

Ivan, the Gold Ranger, found the Gold Energem 800 years ago. He was ambushed by the villain Fury and imprisoned within him, but not before he bonded with the power of the Gold Energem. With help from the Power Rangers Dino Charge, Ivan was able to break out of his prison inside Fury and joins the team. Ivan values honesty and loyalty above all other traits and practices them himself through and through. Because he missed 800 years, he adds a sense of innocence to the team much like Koda the Blue Ranger. He wields the Ptera Morpher and Ptera Saber, and calls upon the Ptera Zord which transforms in to the Ptera Charge Megazord to fight with the other Power Rangers!
