Today is July 2nd and the company Saban Brands is no more. We saw via social media late last week that employees of Saban Brands were moving out of the office – but moving to where? Now we know! Here are some notable moves of Saban Brands employees to their new home with Hasbro, the new owners of the Power Rangers brand.

The “super fans” will know those names very well – Jason Bischoff has been a social media voice for the Power Rangers brand for Saban Brands, acting then as global licensing for Power Rangers. Melissa Flores has been part of the creative team behind the everything for Power Rangers including both the television show and the comic, as has Brian Casentini who also has the title of Executive Producer for Power Rangers Ninja Steel.

If any other names drop we will be sure to let you know. Congratulations to Jason, Melissa, and Brian on their new roles. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for Power Rangers under Hasbro!

IT’S MORPHIN TIME!

Our friends at Boom! Studios via PowerRangersNow just released a new set of pages previewing the upcoming issue of the on going comic: Go Go Power Rangers Issue #11!

The Shattered Grid event continues in Go Go Power Rangers Issue #11,  we explore the Ranger Slayer’s past in this volume. Issue#11 is set to hit store shelves sometime in July.

The most recently-completed Power Rangers season is coming to home media!

Lionsgate has announced a release of Power Rangers Ninja Steel: The Complete Series.

Collected on three discs, this set will feature all 20 episodes of the Ninja Steel Power Rangers facing off against the warrior Galvanax and his team of monsters to possess the Ninja Nexus Prism. The cover art is done by George Caltsoudas, known for his work on Batman: The Animated Series and the “Star Trek: Boldly Go” graphic novel).

Power Rangers: Ninja Steel will be released on August 14, 2018 for the suggested retail price of $19.98 and include an insert from the BOOM! Studios Artist Tribute book for Power Rangers. Click “Read More” for full details!

MEGAZORD SEQUENCE HAS BEEN INITIATED

In case you missed it one of Tamashii Nation’s exclusive offerings for this year’s SDCC will be the SDCC SOC GX-76 Black Megazord repaint. SDCC is right around the corner, and many collectors have wondered what this Megazord variant will look like in either of it’s combined modes with the Dragonzord, well wonder no more. New photos have surfaced online showcasing what this figure will look like in the combined Mega Dragonzord and Dragonzord Battle Modes.

The SDCC SOC GX-76 Black Megazord will be available exclusively at Bluefin Brands booth during San Diego Comic Con 2018. Be sure to check back with us, and we’ll bring you all the exciting news from that event as it happens.

Exclusive to this year’s Power Morphicon convention is a black and gold repaint of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord POP! Vinyl from Funko. Release details have yet to be revealed however the item will go up for pre-sale for those who have pre-registered for Power Morphicon on Monday, June 25th via the Official Power Morphicon website.

As we enter a brand new age of Power Rangers toys and collectibles we are definitely ending the previous era with a bang! Revealed earlier this morning, a skew of Power Rangers toys are being offered as convention exclusives at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Even more shocking – not all of them are being offered through Bandai America.

The Legacy Psycho Silver figure will be available at San Diego Comic Con at the Entertainment Earth booth (#2343) for $45. You can pre-order any remaining figures from the show by clicking here.

One of the most anticipated wave of figures from Bandai America‘s Legacy 6.5″ collector line is the Psycho Rangers. We had confirmation that the original five (Red, Blue, Black, Pink, Yellow) were being released and as soon as they were, fans began to ask about Psycho Silver. As you recall, the Power Rangers In Space battled valiantly against the Psycho Rangers but always got bested by them until they realized each Psycho is programmed to best fight against the same color. As the Power Rangers lay exhausted, Psycho Silver appears and quickly finishes them off. His arrogance at fighting all the colored Rangers causes infighting amongst the Psychos until Psycho Blue injures his comrades in an attempt to fight the Blue Ranger himself. It is at that point we learn that the Psycho Silver is actually the In Space Silver Ranger, and together with the other Power Rangers In Space, destroy Psycho Blue.

Another new special release from Boom! Studios has just been announced!

Go Go Power Rangers: Back To School will feature the five teenagers with attitude going on their first vacation since obtaining the Power Coins. Each Ranger’s story will be explored from a different perspective, and feature situations where morphing may not be the answer to saving the day.

This new 40-page one-shot comic will be written by Marguerite Bennett and will feature artwork from Jim Towe (Youngblood), Derek Charm (Star Wars: Adventures, Powerpuff Girls), Jordan Gibson (The Amazing Spider-Man), Xiao Tong Kong (Adventure Time Comics) and Ilaria Catalani (Rugrats: R is for Reptar).
