When the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers freed Tommy Oliver from Rita Repulsa’s control, the prophecy was fulfilled and the Green Ranger, joined the side of good to defend the Earth. In one world. Once free in another, Tommy became something else entirely, Lord Drakkon. He ruled over a shattered world where only the Coinless stood against him. No longer a Power Ranger, Kimberly Hart continued fighting for her world, until she was manipulated by Lord Drakkon. Cursed with the Bow of Darkness, Kimberly became his tool. She became his Ranger Slayer. Her path has been full of darkness, but once a ranger always a ranger….

The Ranger Slayer joins the line as a part of Wave 5, along side the MMPR Blue Ranger, Time Force Red, and Trey of Triforia. Only the 2nd Boom! Studios inspired figure in the line, after Lord Drakkon, Ranger Slayer builds on the imperfect releases of the MMPR Pink & Yellow Rangers to give us our first really great female figure in the line. Armed with her own Blade Blaster, the Bow of Darkness, a triple shot arrow & arrow energy effect part, Ranger Slayer really is one of our favorite releases in the line thus far.

Hot off the heels of her New York Toy Fair debut, official images and release info are out for the Ranger Slayer from Hasbro’s Power Rangers Lightning Collection! 

Currently sold out, though still listed on Hasbro Pulse, the Ranger Slayer product description reads:

This 6-inch Lightning Collection Ranger Slayer figure features premium paint and decorative details inspired by the show, over 20 points of articulation for high poseability, Bow of Darkness and multiple other character-inspired accessories, and blast effect piece for more ways to play or display. Go Go Power Rangers!

New listings for the Power Rangers Lightning Collection action figure series have confirmed the case breakdowns for the next two waves of this fan-favorite line!

Wave 4 of the Lighting Collection will consist of:

3x PRG LC ZEO BLUE RANGER 6IN FIGURE (630509905249).
2x PRG LC SPD RED RANGER 6IN FIGURE (630509905256).
2x PRG LC BMR CYBERVILLAIN BLAZE 6IN FIGURE (630509905263).
1x PRG LC MMPR YELLOW RANGER 6IN FIGURE (630509905270).

Meanwhile, Wave 5 will follow with this lineup:

These new listings match original store computer findings for upcoming Lightning Collection figures AND appear to confirm that the waves will continue to have four figures instead of three as some rumors suggested.

Wave 4 of the Power Rangers Lightning Collection is tentatively scheduled for release in March 2020 with Wave 5 slotted for a June 2020 release window.

A new trailer for the upcoming nWay video game Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid video game has just been released!

This new video contains the first official gameplay footage for this upcoming Power Ranger adventure, detailing a number of playable characters.

This year one of the biggest things for the Power Rangers brand has been both what BOOM! Studios continues to put out with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics as well as the Twitch.TV Power Rangers HyperForce series. At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, BOOM! Studios is celebrating both of those things with these awesome exclusives!

First up is the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 28 Psycho Green Ranger cover. You can purchase this as a bundle with the exclusive Power Rangers In Space Legacy Psycho Green Ranger figure. NOTE! The Legacy Psycho Green Ranger figure is limited to 1500 pieces so good luck!

Second, we have an exclusive Power Rangers HyperForce cover for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Issue 29. This features the team, helmetless, taking in a moment under a starry sky drawn by Jordan Gibson. This, as the previous Power Rangers HyperForce cover, is going to be a quick sell!

Finally, we have new lapel push pins exclusives! You can grab your Mighty Morphin Green Ranger pin, Ranger Slayer pin, Gravezord Pin, Lord Drakkon both in Evolution I form as well as Evolution II form. These are designed by Lucas Werneck and are guaranteed to be hot sellers.

IT’S MORPHIN TIME!

Our friends at Boom! Studios via PowerRangersNow just released a new set of pages previewing the upcoming issue of the on going comic: Go Go Power Rangers Issue #11!

The Shattered Grid event continues in Go Go Power Rangers Issue #11,  we explore the Ranger Slayer’s past in this volume. Issue#11 is set to hit store shelves sometime in July.

As always, the pages will contain spoilers for the comic so hit the jump at your own risk.

Following the conclusion of the Shattered Grid event in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Issue 31 (releasing in September) will showcase a BRAND NEW team of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!

– The Ranger Slayer
– Magna Defender
– Zeo Ranger II, Yellow
– Green Samurai Ranger (Power Rangers Ninja Storm)
– Red In Space Ranger
– “Deathryuger”, the unused hero/villain from Power Rangers Dino Charge who is now officially known as The Dark Ranger!

There are no real details about how this new team comes together – or what happens to the team we know and love – except that all will be revealed by the time the team takes center stage! The momentous crossover of the ages, Shattered Grid, continues this July with Go Go Power Rangers by Ryan Parrott and Dan Mora! As always – the story is under wraps and you have to read the issue to discover what truly happens. But until then we have some AMAZING artwork via the covers that will be available for the book.
