Gokaiger Adaptation? More Reports From Saban Licensing

Posted on June 13, 2012 at 8:33 am by Paladin under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

This report from the ongoing licensing expo gives some unusual insight into the selection of Megaforce:

You may be wondering why Power Rangers Megaforce used Goseiger rather than Gokaiger, which was an ideal season based on the successful execution of the anniversary concepts. I wasn’t able to get a solid answer for this question. They believed that Gokaiger’s pirate theme was more focused for boys (rather than boys and girls) and the concepts of stealing and plundering were too hardcore for a young audience.

Despite a grim outlook for the Legendary Pirates, an updated report suggests more to this Sentai selection than meets the eye:

They are unable to skip a season, which makes sense because Goseiger comes before Gokaiger. Gokaiger fans will be very pleased when the time is right. Unlike the Shinkenger adaptation, Power Rangers Megaforce has gone through an extensive creative process in hopes to deliver a great product for the anniversary.

What else could this mean for future adaptations, if any??? Stay tuned as we do our best to keep you informed! :)

TokuNation.com Poll – Which Sentai should be Power Rangers Megaforce

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 3:34 pm by Chris under Power Rangers, Super Sentai, TokuNation Spotlights

Hey Power Rangers fans! As you know, next season (2013) will be the 20th Anniversary of our favorite colored spandex heroes! It was recently revealed that the title to next year’s show will be Power Rangers Megaforce! But the question remains – which Super Sentai series is being adapted for Power Rangers Megaforce?

What better way then to ask the fans of Power Rangers!

We know that casting for the next series of Power Rangers was put on a sudden hold to re-evaluate plans to celebrate the 20th Anniversary. We know that TOEI re-shot scenes of the Legendary War to feature only Super Sentai teams that were adapted by Saban and Disney. Casting has started again and from casting scripts, there’s talk of Legendary Rangers and Megaforce … but also talks of a Silver Ranger. Is that GoseiKnight or GokaiSilver?

We want you to vote! Do you want to see Goseiger, Gokaiger, or a combination of both series adapted for the 20th Anniversary?

CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR YOUR PREFERENCE!

There’s a licensing expo coming up on Tuesday … we may have more information on Power Rangers Megaforce at that time! Stay tuned for details!
