Bandai announced some time ago that an S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Garo was in development, and it seems like the figure is finally ready for prime time with some new pre-order info having just sprung up recently, making Garo the first non-Kamen Rider character to receive the premium upgrade.
S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Garo was just recently announced as P-Bandai[/url] release, the figure will cost 9,900 yen pre-orders are set to begin November 22nd and will finally ship June 2018.
Following up from Kraken Releasing’s Garo TV Series Parts 1 & 2 Blu-Rays, they’ve just announced their official home video release of Garo: Kiba The Dark Knight!
He was born the child of a Makai Knight and a Makai Priestess. He trained to become a Makai Knight and fight the nightmarish creatures known as Horrors. This film is slated for a February 20th, 2018 release and retails for $19.98 though it’s currently listed on sale on Kraken’s site for $12.99. As with their previous Garo releases it features Japanese audio with English subtitles.
A new trailer has been posted online for the upcoming GARO film Kami No Kiba!
This movie features the return of the Golden Knight Dogai Ryuga and the conclusion of his story.
Directed by GARO franchise creator Keita Amemiya, Kami No Kiba is currently scheduled for release on January 6 2018!
Another entry in the GARO universe is coming to theaters in 2018!
Officially titled Garo: Kami No Kiba this film will once again follow the adventures of Dogai Ryuga as the Golden Knight! Actor Wataru Kuriyama returns once again as Ryuga, finally concluding his character arc that began in 2013’s Garo: Yami o Terasu Mono.
But Kuriyama is not the only familiar face among this cast-
*Junya Ikeda (Gokai Silver) reprises his role as Makai Knight Takeru
*Tsunori Aoki (Kamen Rider Duke) returns to play the Makai Knight Aguri
*Masahiro Inoue (Kamen Rider Decade) once again portrays the villain Zinga
An all-star lineup for GARO & tokusatsu fans!

Thanks to the latest batch of magazine scans we have a look at the newest entry in Tamashii Nations‘ premium quality S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou line. While the line has previously been exclusively reserved for Kamen Rider characters, that streak has officially been broken with the announcement of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Garo!
This figure is likely a further development to the renewal Garo figure seen at the Tamashii Nations 2014 event, not only sporting a sharper and more detailed sculpt but also an authentic golden chrome shine!
No release information has been announced as of yet, so stay tuned to Tokunation as more information about this exciting release is revealed!
The first teaser trailer for the next GARO series has been posted online! The good people at The Tokusatsu Network have translated this video for fans.
Long-time GARO veteran Yukijiro Hotaru returns once again as Gonza, servant to the Golden Knight. Hotaru will serve as narrator/storyteller for Makai Retsuden as characters from the previous 10 years of GARO are revisited.

The return of the GARO S.H. Figuarts continues! A new figure of the golden knight was recently seen in magazines scans, with many assuming it to be the renewal version of the Kouga Saejima version of the character previously seen at the 2014 Tamashii Nations event. However official images from Bandai’s Tamashii Web Shop can confirm this not to be the case, with the figure actually based on the golden version of Ryuga Dougai’s armour from the end of Yami o Terasu Mono (The One Who Shines in the Darkness)
A retool of the Garo Ryuga Ver. figure released a few months ago, Garo Golden Ryuga Ver. will be released in August as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, priced 6480 yen. He comes packaged with a selection of alternate hands as well as the Garo Ken sword and a slash effect part.

The latest entry in the GARO franchise finally has a release date!
Garo: Makai Retsuden is scheduled to begin on April 8, 2016! Sadly, VERY few story details about this new series have been revealed. A press release has given a basic plot outline hinting at the return of past characters/storylines:

A poster for the upcoming anime movie Garo: Divine Flame has recently surfaced online.
In addition, a teaser trailer for the film has been uploaded by Garo Project (but be warned- there may be spoilers ahead!)
Divine Flame will serve as a sequel to the first Garo anime series, Seal of Flames. The movie will be released in May 2016.
And another new Tamashii Web Exclusive release has just been added tonight. Seen previously at multiple Tamashii Nations events, we’ve just gotten confirmation on the release of S.H. Figuarts Garo Leon Version!
Leon is of course the the main hero of the first season of the Garo The Animation series. This version of the titular armor has some new flourishes and more animated proportions not present in previous designs so it’s a nice change of pace even with the protracted time between Garo Figuarts releases.
S.H. Figuarts Garo Leon Version is set for release as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in June with a retail price of 6696 yen. Leon will include 2 sets of hands as well as the iconic Garoken/Garo Sword.
