Bandai Japan has released the first official images for the 20th Heisei Rider henshin device!

This is the Jikku Driver, a mysterious new invention whose origins remain unknown. The Driver is used by both Kamen Rider Zi-O & Kamen Rider Gates as they battle across time.

The Driver is powered by RideWatches, small medallions that contain the powers of the Kamen Riders! These can be stored in the RideWatch Holder for easy use. The JikkuDriver will be packaged with the Kamen Rider Zi-O RideWatch, while the RideWatch Holder includes the Kamen Rider Gates RideWatch.

The DX JikkuDriver & DX RideWatch Holder are currently scheduled for release in September 2018!
For fans interested in picking up these new pieces of Kamen Rider Zi-O’s arsenal, there are multiple options available:

*The DX JikkuDriver will have a separate release- tentatively priced at 7500 Yen.
*The DX RideWatch Holder will also be released separately- priced at approximately 3000 Yen
*OR pick up both items as a set- for a mere 10500 Yen!

A new Kamen Rider video game has just been announced!

Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zi-O is an action/fighting game featuring multiple Kamen Rider characters. So far, Riders confirmed to be included are Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kamen Rider Gates & Kamen Rider Build.

Climax Scramble will include a STORY MODE for lengthy gameplay & a BATTLE MODE for Rider clashes. Further details regarding gameplay have sadly not been confirmed at time of writing.

Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zi-O will be released on the Nintendo Switch video game console! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details on this exciting Rider Game!

News about the upcoming 20th Heisei Kamen Rider series Kamen Rider Zi-O continues to drip out on a fairly steady pace, and each bit we receive seems even more exciting than the last!

This latest batch of scans focuses first on the Jikku Driver, the henshin device used by both Kamen Riders in this series. The Driver face spins 360 degrees to transform and was apparently developed after years of research though its true origins are not yet revealed in full.

The Jikku Driver is powered by RiderWatches! These coin-shaped devices are said to contain the powers of previous Kamen Riders- and all the Heisei Riders are shown in RiderWatch form!

By inserting the RiderWatch into the JikkuDriver, a Rider gains new Rider Armor with unique abilities!

*Kamen Rider Zi-O’s first RiderArmor form uses the Kamen Rider Build RiderWatch- creating Kamen Rider Zi-O Build Armor!
*Kamen Rider Gates starts off with the Kamen Rider Ghost RiderWatch- granting the power of Kamen Rider Gates Ghost Armor!

In addition to visiting past Kamen Riders, this series will also resurrect VILLAINS from Rider history! Kamen Rider Zi-O is seen facing off against Lord Baron from Kamen Rider Gaim.

The world will get its first proper look at Kamen Rider Zi-O during the Kamen Rider Build: BE THE ONE movie- premiering in theaters on August 4 2018! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this remarkable new Rider series!

The 20th and final Heisei Era Kamen Rider is coming closer every day, and we continue to learn more about this new hero: the King of Time, Kamen Rider Zi-O!

In the first magazine scans published for this new series, we get to see Zi-O’s arsenal and special attacks from the Zikan Gilade in Sword and Gun configurations. We also get a close look at Kamen Rider Zi-O’s motorcycle- the Ride Striker! Some early teasers for Zi-O’s time travel powers are included, with brief glimpses of the Cretaceous Era and the Edo Period.

As an extra bonus, this scan gives us our best look yet at the second Rider- Kamen Rider Gates! This character is said to arrive from the year 2068 and uses the same Driver as Zi-O.

Each characters’ RIDER KICK attacks are detailed in full: Kamen Rider Zi-O uses the Time Break while Kamen Rider Gates’ is known as Time Burst! Both Rider suits bear the katakana for KICK on the underside of their boots.

At long last the full merchandise catalog for the next Kamen Rider series has been revealed- detailing the powers and abilities of Kamen Rider Zi-O!

*Both Zi-O and the counterpart Kamen Rider Gates use the Jikan Driver to henshin. This Driver uses a primarily digital display and changes format depending on Zi-O’s attacks- the most powerful move is listed as FINISH TIME.

*The Riders gain new powers from the RideWatches– small items with the faces of past Kamen Riders! These can be stored in the RideWatch Holder or compiled in the RideWatch Dizer for a combination attack! The RideWatches are not limited only to past Kamen Riders- some watches actually represent ITEMS from past shows, including the Suika Arms from Kamen Rider Gaim. The first catalog covers ALL Heisei-era Kamen Riders!

*By using the RideWatches, Kamen Rider Zi-O & Kamen Rider Gates will obtain armor based on a previous Kamen Rider design. The first configurations shown in the Rider Kicks action figure line show Kamen Rider Ghost, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Fourze, Kamen Rider OOO & Kamen Rider Decade!

*Zi-O’s signature weapon is the Jikan Gilade– a sword that becomes a gun. Meanwhile, Gates is armed with the Jikan Zax– a crossbow that turns into an axe. A third weapon known as the Ride HeiSaber is also on display, which channels the powers of past Kamen Riders for attacks.

*Kamen Rider Zi-O’s motorcycle is known as the Ride Striker and is summoned from a unique RideWatch.

*Last but CERTAINLY not least, Kamen Rider Zi-O has a giant Mecha! Known as the Time Majin, this robo will change forms & attacks based on what RideWatch is equipped.

The past few days have given us some impressive teasers for the next Kamen Rider series, but now at last we have a look at the first official bits of merchandise for Kamen Rider Zi-O!

A photo for the next Rider Hero Series vinyl figures has been posted online, showing off the new Kamen Rider Zi-O and the counterpart Rider, tentatively known as Kamen Rider Gates. This is our best look yet at the new suits for this Kamen Rider project!

It’s that time of year again folks! Kamen Rider Build is sadly drawing to a close, and as we say our farewells a new hero rises to take his place: Kamen Rider Zi-O who was revealed earlier in the week.

Not long after the reveal, our first toy catalog scans are beginning to surface online thanks to Twitter user @Tokullector and translations from @SpecialForm12

A few things worth noting from the translations:

  • Kamen Rider Zi-O’s belt is called the Jikku Driver
  • The second Rider shown previously is called Kamen Rider Gates
  • The form changes are called ArmorTime, both Gates and Zi-O uses RideWatches to activate these forms.
  • Kamen Rider Zi-O has ArmorTimes based on Build and Ex-Aid while Gates will use forms based on Ghost and Drive.
  • Zi-O’s default sidearm is called the JikanGrade and will have both a sword and gun mode.

Do note that what we are seeing are scans for the Gashapon toys, we’ll be seeing scans for the DX stuff in the next few days. In the meantime, stay tuned to Tokunation and we’ll provide you more updates as they become available.
