This January 11th two groups of superheroes beloved worldwide will join forces for the first time. DC Entertainment and BOOM! Studios, in partnership with Saban Brands, have announced that a six issue mini-series beginning in January will partner the heroes of the world of DC Entertainment with our favorite spandex-clad Power Rangers!

When the Command Center is damaged, Zack is accidentally teleported to an alternative universe and is in the crosshairs of the caped crusader Batman! Can Jason, Billy, Trini, Kimberly, and Tommy save Zack from the clutches of the masked vigilante of Gotham City? Justice League / Power Rangers begins January 11th!

The series will also feature variant covers drawn by some of comics’ most popular artists. They are as follows:

  • The Flash/Black Ranger by Yasmine Putri

In a rather bizarre turn of events, the company behind the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends toy-line has announced a cross brand promotion with Saban’s Power Rangers.

Thomas trains themed after characters from the first and second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will see release though currently, there’s no word on release date and price point but stay tuned and we’ll bring more up to date information as it’s made available.

Awhile back, we heard rumours that a brand new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers video game was in the works. A press release has gone out, giving us not only a handful of screenshots but also a trailer coming courtesy of Powerrangersnow and Youtube.

The game appears to be a standard action brawler with local multiplayer that allows for up to four players siamotainously on the screen with a secondary fighting game style mode for Megazord combat, the press release promises a deep, intuitive fighting system . Levels will be based on episodes from the TV show with Tommy Oliver being a hidden unlockable character as both the Green and White Rangers in addition to Adam, Rocky, Kat, and Aisha.

No word on price point or release date, though a demo will be avalaible for those attending New York Comic Con 2016 this weekend, but for those that couldn’t go the trailer for the game can be seen below:

Our final gallery from this year’s Power Morphicon is here and it’s none other than the highly anticipated, incredibly popular 6.5″ figures from Bandai America‘s new Power Rangers Legacy line! While there was plenty of new and exciting things to see at this year’s Power Morphicon, easily the most surprising and most exciting was the reveal of the upcoming Soul of Chogokin DaiZyuJin from Tamashii Nations. Featuring diecast metal and an incredible amount of detail, there was no details given about the new item from the Soul of Chogokin line. Adam from Tamashii Nations was on hand and the only details he would give us, or anyone, was that the best thing to relate this item to was the previously released Soul of Chogokin Voltron figure.

Teased in the text is “Battle mode has been initiated for NYCC 2016” … promising a more in-depth look at this amazing set of figures at this year’s New York Comic Con. And dare we say it … the first look at a combined mode? I mean, it’s not like we can see the Megazord’s head in a couple of the images we took … or can you?

A little bit of sad news for those who have been waiting for the release of the first trade paperback of the new BOOM! Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series – it has been delayed for a week, now releasing in comic book stores on September 14th and book stores on September 20th. No reason for the delay has been given.

The BOOM! Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Volume 1 TPB collects issues #0 through #4 of the popular comic book series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and is labeled as “Green Ranger Year One”. Included are images of each cover of the book as well as the Adventures of Bulk and Skull.

At this year’s Power Morphicon 5 we were treated to a new sight that many fans had been hoping for – the Legacy Ninja Megazord (due out this October) combined with the currently for sale Legacy Falconzord! Bandai America was kind enough to grant those wishes and right at eye’s view in the display case was the Legacy Ninja Falcon Megazord.

There wasn’t much new to see that wasn’t seen – we did try to take some images of the connection (looks as if the Falconzord connects to the Bear zord). Check out Legacy Ninja Megazord images by clicking the title of the story!

We have images of the 9th issue of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers from BOOM! Studios! The covers give us a hint that this may be an integral finale to the current story-arch of which Rita Repulsa is using a mysterious item to create a powerful foe that the Power Rangers may not be able to stop – and the shadowed figures give us a large hint on exactly what’s going on!

Now this is probably the biggest surprise of all from this years’ Power Morphicon.  Earlier today Tamashii Nations teased that they would indeed have something to show off at PMC this weekend. The reveal of that item comes as a total surprise to many, but lo and behold they have just revealed Soul of Chogokin Daizyujin! AKA the original Mighty Morphin Dino Megaord!

The individual mecha/zords are on display currently with no combined mode shown yet, but wow what a reveal this is! A truly surprising and interesting development from this years show. We’ll keep you updated as more and better pictures and information become available for Soul  of Chogokin Daizyujin/Dino Megazord!
