A few new images from the second-quarter merchandise catalog for Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger have finally surfaced online!

Although low-res, we have shots of 4 new Cube Animals for the DX Mecha line:

*Cube Mogura which forms a drill weapon for Zyuoh King

*Cube Kuma creates another new weapon for ZyuohKing

*Cube Crocodile, the first known Mecha belonging to Zyuoh TheWorld!

*Cube Wolf another item in Zyuoh TheWorld’s arsenal. Wolf and Crocodile are said to combine with the sadly still-unrevealed Cube Rhinos to form Tousai Zyuoh, Zyuoh TheWorlds’ personal mecha.

Definitely some interesting new shapes coming down the line for the 40th Super Sentai Series!

Well that didn’t take long! Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger is only one episode in and already we have the official reveal of it’s first Premium Bandai Exclusive! In honor of the special “Instinct Awakening” abilities each of the 5 Zyuohger possess, a Sentai Hero Vinyl SP 5-Pack is being released!

This set features each of the 5 Zyuohgers transformed into their Instinct Awakened state. So that means new hands for Tiger & Lion, new feet for Elephant, a dorsal fin for Shark, & Zyuoh Eagle features his wings as well as the inclusion of his signature Eagriser! A Hero vinyls each of these figures will stand just over 6″ (160 MM) tall. 

Pre-Orders for the Zyuohger Sentai Hero Vinyl SP set will open on February 15th and remain open through March 31st, with an actual release of the set in June. Premium Bandai retail price for this set will be 8100 yen. Be sure to contact your preferred middleman service today to reserve an order!

The first crop of reviews for the next Super Sentai series, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger, are beginning to roll in. First up – check out the video review of the highly anticipated (for a variety of reasons) DX ZyuOhKing, the main Megazord of this new series!

Featuring a few “firsts” for Bandai Japan – this Megazord does not seem to have any electronics and is significantly smaller to previous DX Mecha released. Is this part of Bandai Japan‘s new vision – to once again make toys easier to import to the United States (as seen with Ninninger‘s Power Rangers styled 5 inch figures)? Time will tell! Rider! Deadheat!

We’re making a return trip to Kamen Rider Drive & the Dead Zone with the latest Tamashii Web Exclusive release from the series, S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Deadheat Mach!

Unlike Drive, the Deadheat upgrade wound up being much more significant for Mach. As Drive obtained Types Formula & later Tridoron, Deadheat became mach’s defacto power up for big battles. This figure takes the already awesome base that was Drive Deadheat and tweeks it just a bit for Mach’s version of it. A new head & Dead Heat Shift Car along with a Zenrin Shooter make up the major changes for this release. But it still includes the awesome broken berserk mode tire for Mach when he unlocks his true potential. It’s a very standard remold of a previous release, but still a great figure.

All in all S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Deadheat Mach is another excellent addition to this line of figures that I’d definitely recommend. New listings for the second wave of Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger toys have been posted online! Sadly, no images have been revealed at time of writing but we can look forward to:

*Two new add-on weapons for Zyuoh King have been revealed: Zyuoh Mogura (a Mole) and Zyuoh Kuma (a Bear).

*The Zyuohgers’ Sixth Ranger, tentatively known as Zyuoh World! Transformation device is listed as Zyuoh The Light and weapon is called Zyuoh The GunRod.

*Three additional Cube Animals are also listed: Zyuoh Wolf, Crocodile and Rhino!

Recently we showed you upcoming ZyuohKing merchandise in the form of the DX and minipla toys. Ready for more? Bandai of Japan has released official images for their upcoming Fighting Action Robo ZyuohKing. This candy toy will retail for 920 yen. Unlike its minipla and DX counterparts, it doesn’t combine but full articulation is emphasized.

Here at TokuNation we’ve been slowly going back through our catalog of past galleries, picking out those that didn’t get the proper treatment the first time around, and giving them our gallery 2.0 treatment. And we’ve finally begun to pick up steam with our look back at Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters! Earlier this month we brought you a 2.0 gallery of S.H. Figuarts Red Buster, today we take a look at Hiromu’s trusted partner (and mode of transportation) S.H. Figuarts Nick Cheeda!

Nick came out a few years ago after Red Buster but was released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive. In fact the entire remainder of the released Go-Busters were distributed like this. Nick however was the first Buddyroid release, so he’s completely different from the other Busters. And as with many Web Exclusives of the time, Nick doesn’t include much other than an extra pair of hands and his Rear Wheel Guns, but really that’s all he needs. While the mold isn’t perfect, if you’re a fan of Go-Busters, he’s the perfect addition to your display.
