Blaze was meant to be a hero, a Power Ranger! Trained by Grid Battleforce with his teammates Roxy & Ravi, Blaze was chosen to become the Red Ranger. But on the day the team should have formed, fate and Evox, intervened. Taking the essence of Blaze and his abilities, Evox has created an Avatar of the would be hero, a new Cyber Villain general to lead his armies of Tronics & Robotrons! Now what began as a simple grudge between the original Blaze & Devon Daniels has morphed into something else entirely, as the would be ranger turned avatar battles the man who’s taken his place, the new Red Ranger……

Blaze joins the ever growing Power Rangers Lightning Collection as one of a handful of evil rangers in the line. An excellent addition, Blaze brings with him an intricately detailed sculpt with all the articulation hallmarks we’ve come to expect from this line, as well as a ton of accessories. Blaze is armed with extra hands, both his sword & an effect part for it and even the Robotron-Maker briefcase/laptop, but also includes an alternate unmasked head featuring a brilliant likeness of Blaze actor Colby Strong! As far as villains go, Blaze may be the best one in the line yet.

Hasbro has at last announced the proper name for their next season of Power Rangers!

Season 28 of the legendary franchise will officially be known as Power Rangers: Dino Fury! This season, as previously reported, will be an adaptation of the Super Sentai series Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger.

A brief plot outline for the new series has also been released:

When an army of powerful alien beings is unleashed on Earth threatening life as we know it, a brand-new team of Power Rangers, fueled by the pre-historic power of the dinosaurs, are recruited to deal with the threat!

Power Rangers: Dino Fury will begin airing on Nickelodeon in 2021! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further updates on this new entry in Power Rangers history!

A plethora of new items have just been revealed from Hasbro detailing the future of the Power Rangers Lightning Collection!

The new Lightning entries include:

*A Putty Patrol two-pack! This set features both iconic foot soldiers with a wide assortment of weapons. Preorders are OPEN NOW with an estimated release date of August 10 2020 at a modest price of $29.99!

*The Psycho Green Ranger! BOOM! Studios’ legendary villain is recreated in exquisite detail. Preorder NOW for an estimated release on July 15 2020!

*The previously-reported Zordon & Alpha 5 two-pack! This set will be a Walmart exclusive, release is currently scheduled for September 2020 with a price of $29.99.

And last but not least is a bold new direction for the collection- the Lightning Morpher! Containing all five Power Coins plus a variety of light & sound effects, the Morpher will also be exclusive to Walmart- at a price of $49.99 USD.

Several days ago, new toy listings surfaced online for a unique subline from Hasbro under the My Little Pony brand.

Known as the Crossover Collection this new series features pony figures based on other Hasbro licensed properties.

And today, we get to see the Power Rangers entry for Crossover Collection- the Morphin Pink Pony! The equine Pink Ranger bears a distinctive Pterodactyl cutie mark to cap off its design.

Sadly, price & release details for Morphin Pink Pony have not been revealed at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further updates!

Boom! Studios has revealed a new mini-series for their Power Rangers comic book universe!

Titled Drakkon New Dawn the title will be a three-issue adventure written by Anthony Burch with artwork by Simone Ragazzoni.

A brief plot synopsis has been released for the series-


After the shocking events of Power Rangers: Ranger Slayer #1, Kimberly is determined to purge the terrifying hold that Drakkon has had over her world, starting with Deadlock; the prison tower where Drakkon held all those who opposed him. But even the Ranger Slayer has no clue of the true power kept in Deadlock—and what unlocking the doors will set into motion. As Kimberly investigates the worst of Drakkon’s secrets, she sets in
motion Drakkon’s final plan—one that will pit her against a fan-favorite Power Rangers villain like you’ve never seen them before.

Drakkon New Dawn is tentatively scheduled for release in August 2020!

A new Amazon.com listing has revealed another upcoming entry in the Power Rangers Lightning Collection action figure series!

This new release is a 2-pack featuring Zordon and Alpha 5!

Lightning Collection Zordon’s entry is described as a figure base with electronic light-up features, while Alpha 5 will be a fully-articulated figure with accessories.

The listing offers a preliminary release date of July 26 2020.

Possibly one of the most popular Ultramen in franchise history is coming around for a victory lap for his 10th anniversary. 10 years ago the young upstart hero Ultraman Zero made his debut and ever since he’s grown to be one of the most memorable and lasting characters the franchise has ever produced. Now a mentor to the latest hero from Tsuburaya productions, Ultraman Z, Tamashii Nations has just announced a brand new S.H. Figuarts release for Zero!

Releasing in October 2020 S.H. Figuarts Shining Ultraman Zero is headed our way as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 6600 yen. Making this Zero’s 5th figure since Ultraman made the switch from Ultra-Act to S.H. Figuarts, it’s clear that this ever popular hero can always turn a profit. What can the future hold for further Figuarts Ultraman Zero releases? Time will tell! Set for release in October 2020 Zero Zero-One will retail for 6600 yen. The figure will be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive as well. Site contributor My Shiny Toy Robots returns with another tokusatsu review, this time looking a new generation of crossover film – Kamen Rider: Reiwa the First Generation! Awakening in an alternate future where Humagears rule and humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction, Kamen Rider Zero-One teams up with Kamen Rider Zi-O to travel back to 2007 and the events of the catastrophic Daybreak Town Incident. Aruto’s resolve is pushed to its limits when he not only finds a mysterious Kamen Rider at its epicentre, but also his Humagear father.

TV-Asahi has announced a hiatus of sorts for the Super Hero Time programming block- which currently consists of Mashin Sentai Kiramager and Kamen Rider Zero-One.

This hiatus is due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and the extended state of emergency in Japan.

For the next three weeks, alternative episodes will air in place of the usual Super Hero Time lineup-

*Kamen Rider Zero-One will release a two-part Presidents Special recapping the events of the series from Kamen Rider Zero-Ones’ perspective, followed by a Shooting Special shot from Kamen Rider Vulcan’s point of view.

*Mashin Sentai Kiramager will air the Episode ZERO special originally released in theaters, followed by Directors’ Cut revamps of the series’ first two episodes.

An exact return date for Super Sentai & Kamen Rider has not been confirmed at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details on this unique situation!
