Posted on July 22, 2015 at 1:16 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

The time of the month for blurry magazine scans has rolled around again! Although we’ve known about this pair of items for a bit some clear release info has popped up from this month’s Figure Oh.

S.H. Figuarts Mach Dead heat
Tamashii Web Exclusive
December, 5184 yen
– This image also reveals a special Aeon Store exclusive bonus part for S.H. Figuarts Drive Type Dead Heat. In the same fashion as the Blade Turn Up effect part released several years ago, buying Drive Dead Heat via Aeon will net you the Highway Effect.  It’s actually perfectly to scale with the Shift Cars and Shift Bikes that come with the various Drive Figuarts!

S.H. Figuarts Kabutolaw & Stronger 2-Pack
Tamashii Web Exclusive
December, 8424 Yen
– This set includes a slightly recolored Kamen Rider Stronger in same way as the Rider 1/Cyclone & Rider 2/Remodeled Cyclone sets. Just different enough to set it apart from your standard releases.

S.H. Figuarts Kabutolaw Single Release
Tamashii Web Exclusive
December, 4860 yen
– As with many Showa Era rider machines released recently you also have the option to buy the vehicle separately. We’ll update you as more scans and information from this months Figure Oh become available!

Kamen Rider Ghost Story Details Revealed

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 9:09 pm by Paladin under Kamen Rider

Yet another new scan for the 17th Heisei Kamen Rider has surfaced online! This time we have learned the backstory for the upcoming series:

*Kamen Rider Ghosts’ real name is Tekuuji Takeru, a young man training to be a Ghost Hunter who receives the Ore Eyecon from his (supposedly deceased) father.

*When trying to protect the Eyecon, Takeru is killed by a Ganma– a monster from another world! In order to protect others from the Ganma, Takeru is given a secondary life and- by using the Eyecon with the Ghost Driver– is reborn as a Kamen Rider!

*Once reborn, Takeru must travel the world to collect the Eyecons of 15 Great Men in 99 Days, to earn one wish. But along the way, Takeru finds himself in a war that may change the fate of the entire world…

Definitely sounds like some fascinating adventures ahead for this new Rider! Be sure to share your thoughts on this new series in our ongoing Kamen Rider Ghost Rumor Thread!

Kamen Rider Ghost- Iguana Ghostriker, Kamen Rider Specter, Logo & Eyecon Images!

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 8:40 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

More news for the 17th Heisei Kamen Rider series is rolling in and now we have concrete pictures and info! The following images give us our first clear look at Kamen Rider Ghost’s series logo. One which looks to incorporate further the overall Eye gimmick of the Ghost Eyecons.

Additionally we have some first looks at Ghost’s toyline. Up first is a silhouetted image of the secondary rider for the series, Kamen Rider Specter! This image also confirms the name of this series gimmick line (ala Arms Change or Tire Koukan). Ghost’s line is known as Ghost Change! Specter is labelled as GC03 which is telling. Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Soul and at least one of his alternate forms will be released first with Specter up after that!

Which speaking of we also get a look at GC01 Ghost Orel Soul while riding his VERY unorthodox Rider Machine. That’s right, a multi-piece combining machine, this year we have the Iguana Ghostriker! The combination of a black and very skeletal horse-like bike and a literal ghost ship! When the 2 combine together it’s clear where this machine get’s it’s name, as combined they form a giant robot Iguana! These images also offer a clear look at the very first DX Ghost Icon! The DX Ore Eyecon is Ghost’s default Eyecon that allows him to access his standard Ore Soul form.

Let’s go-go-go-Ghost!

SDCC 2015 – High Resolution Images of the Legacy Thunder Megazord

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 12:07 pm by Chris under Conventions, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

It’s time to show YOU the power of thunder! At this year’s San Diego Comic Con 2015, our friends at Bandai America pulled off one of the biggest reveals of the entire show when they unveiled the incredibly anticipated Legacy Thunder Megazord figure in their display with the rest of the Legacy items. Featuring plenty of diecast metal (why do you think it’s being hung up by wires!?) and said to be faithful to the show, this item immediately became one of our most viewed stories on TokuNation and shot up to the top of everyone’s “must have” list in terms of Power Rangers merchandise – including those who don’t even collect the merchandise!

We spent a lot of time trying to get the best shots possible to show you how the Legacy Thunder Megazord comes together and the incredible detail that went in to every little part of this figure. Click the story and check out 25 high resolution images.

The Legacy Thunder Megazord is due to ship out in November 2015 with an estimated release date of sometime in January 2016. There is no price point yet revealed. Please remember – this item is not the final retail version!

Additional Kamen Rider Ghost Rumors, Secondary Rider?

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 11:20 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After yesterdays surprise reveal of the 17th Heisei Kamen Rider we now have some more initial rumors about the upcoming Kamen Rider Ghost! These rumors are currently posted at Heroshock and have yet to be corroborated, so for the time being take them with a healthy dose of skepticism.

– The Ghost Eyecons which contain the spirits of the dead and allow Ghost to switch between his forms will house the spirits of dead historical figures. The rumored names for these Eyecons being: Robin Ghost Eyecon (Robin Hood?), Billy The Kid Ghost Eyecon, Toutankhamun Ghost Eyecon, Beethoven Ghost Eyecon, Nobunaga Ghost Eyecon, Benkei Ghost Eyecon, Musashi Ghost Eyecon, & Edison Ghost Eyecon.

– The main Eyecon used by Ghost is the Ore Ghost Eyecon. The forms themselves are know as Souls. So his base form will be Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Soul. In this case Ore is read as “o-ray” or more literally translated the word “I”. So the Ore Eyecon is most likely Ghosts very own ghost/soul.

– Ghost wields two weapons, the Gangan Saber & Gangan Hand gun.

– This series we’ll also see a return to the rider having other devices. In this case called Ghost Gadgets. They are the Condor Phone, Cobra Mobile, Bat Clock, & Spider Lantern.

– Ghost’s Rider Machine will be called the Igunana Ghostriker.

– And the rumored secondary rider for the series will be Kamen Rider Specter!

We’ll keep you up to date as more rumors roll in for Kamen Rider Ghost!

Check out 78 high resolution images by clicking the title of the story! Then join in the discussion – which one of the villains looks the most amazing? Did they not knock it out of the park with that new zord armor? And who doesn’t want their own Rexy hanging out? Sound off!

Kamen Rider Ghost Design Revealed via Toy Scan!

Posted on July 16, 2015 at 11:56 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

And here we are folks, the first look at 17th Heisei rider, Kamen Rider Ghost! After months of speculation and false information we have our very first look at the character thanks to a toy catalog scan!

Kamen Rider Ghost uses the Ghost Driver to transform. When inserting a Ghost Eyecon into the driver the spirit of a ghost is absorbed and projected onto the users body in the form of a hood/jacket. This construct with a face mask covers the suit from behind to create the primary look of the rider. An orange and black with a horn, a hero fit to premiere around October. Though if translations are correct not only will Ghost appear first in Kamen Drive: Surprise Future, but his show will premiere in late september!

These images also give us our first look at the Ghost Driver and Eyecons themselves. The Ghost Driver features a lever on the right side that needs to be pulled back to accept an Eyecon then pushed back into to activate the gimmick. And the Gangan Saber is Ghost’s primary weapon.

So what do you think of the reveal of the 17th Heisei Kamen Rider? Let us know what you think of Kamen Rider Ghost in the comments!
