Remote Control Samurai Megazord

Posted on September 13, 2012 at 1:59 am by Shin Densetsu under Power Rangers

Here’s something we have not seen for a while, a remote control Megazord! Or rather, to be precise, a Power Rangers Samurai Remote Control Samurai Megazord! This new item was sighted recently at Toys R Us, where it is currently on endcap displays. It can “walk” and swings its sword. More images after the jump!

Rumor – Super Sentai 2013 to be Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, plus Details

Posted on September 12, 2012 at 11:52 am by Chris under Super Sentai

The initial rumor of Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger first broke and was reported by other sites a couple of weeks ago. We here at TokuNation.com wanted to wait before jumping the gun – other sites have fallen prey to posting up early information that was the result of pranks and we chose to sit and wait to see if this information ended up being discreditted.

Well, a few weeks have gone by and nothing of the sort has happened. So let’s talk about Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.

The early translations show the series will feature electric ancient beasts, which spawned a LOT of conversation that this will be another Super Sentai to feature dinosaurs, like Zyuranger (pictured) and AbaRanger, a thought many felt was happening due to the overwhelming flop that Go-Busters, a high-tech/spy-like series, has been since the start of the year.

The first detailed rumors of the show have been posted over at our friends with JEFusion. We cannot confirm the validity behind any of these rumors, but they’re still fun to look at none-the-less. If they are accurate, let’s just say those hoping for dinosaurs may be disappointed…

In case these end up being accurate, we don’t want to spoil it for you. You can find the rumors by clicking the news story title. Feel free to discuss away!

Peaugh’s Review of Kamen Rider Wizard Plamonster 01 Garuda

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 3:40 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

In this day and age, what’s a Tokusatsu series without some friends to help you out? Following in tradition of Kamen Rider Fourze as well as Super Sentai Go-Busters, Kamen Rider Wizard has his own helpers in the battle against the Phantoms – and friend of TokuNation.com Peaugh recently reviewed the first of the set – the cute little red bird known as Garuda!

A friend to TokuNation.com and one of the popular online video reviewers of this day and age, Peaugh recently reviewed the Wizardriver from Kamen Rider Wizard. Ratings for Kamen Rider Wizard Episode 02 and Go-Busters Mission 29

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 3:19 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider, Super Sentai

A fun topic that seems to spark a lot of conversation on the TokuNation.com Forums is the ratings of both Kamen Rider Wizard as well as Go-Busters. As we’ve previously mentioned, Go-Busters is on pace right now to be the lowest rated Super Sentai series of all time, doing even worse than OhRanger, which was the previous all time record holder for worst television ratings ever.

And don’t forget that Kamen Rider Fourze was abysmal in the ratings department, but the show managed to save face if only because of outstanding merchandise sales for the Fourze Driver and the various switches.

So how did the shows do this week?

Kamen Rider Wizard posted a 7.8% rating, up from it’s premiere of 7.1%. This single episode of Kamen Rider is the highest rated episode since Episode 12 of Kamen Rider OOO. That’s November 2010 for those of you keeping track.

Go-Busters pulled in a 5.2%, tying the series high set back on Mission 08. This can be creditted both to the fact that more people are watching Kamen Rider Wizard and, just maybe, the fact that Go-Busters is doing a unique “shake-up” … a new intro, a new theme song, and apparently a new main villain. And to quote some of our users here that are still watching, “What is this!? There’s an actual STORY in Go-Busters?!”

It’ll be interesting to see how this coming weekend’s numbers look. Will Kamen Rider Wizard continue to move up, breaking the 8.0% mark? Will Go-Busters reclaim some respect and adoration, or is it destined to be the worst rated Super Sentai of all time?

Stay tuned!
