Go-Busters to air in South Korea as "Power Rangers: Go Bursters"

Posted on June 9, 2013 at 1:18 pm by ZeoRangerV under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

Thanks to poster ZeroKing2010 of Rangercrew, we have our first look at the logo and name for the forthcoming South Korean dub of the 36th Super Sentai series Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters!

As with previous shows, Go-Busters will air with the Power Rangers name. Oddly rather than continue the “… Force” trend we’ve seen with previous Korean dubs, the series shall be titled Power Rangers: Go Bursters.

Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters Green Hippopotamus Revealed

Posted on April 1, 2013 at 8:05 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

After several months of mentioning this new character in magazine scans we finally have our first image of Green Hippopotamus! Green Hippopotamus is of course the final member of Dobutsu Sentai Gobusters from the upcoming Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters V-Cinema! We see him here with fellow new character Black Puma and their universes’ Pink Buster (Rika Sakurada). Remember the Dobutsu Sentai is an alternate world version of the Go-Busters that based themselves on animals.

An interesting thing to note is that the actor playing Green Hippopotamus is actually none of other than Tatsuhisa Suzuki. Who also happens to be the voice actor for buddyorid Usada Lettuce!

Final Gobuster and First three Kyoruger Ratings Report

Posted on March 7, 2013 at 1:46 am by Kiryu under Super Sentai

It’s no secret that Tokumei Sentai Gobusters is one of the lowest rated Sentai shows in the franchise, but just how badly did it do as a whole? As reported by Rising Sun Tokusatsou, the rating reports from the last two episodes are out and they aren’t good: with the last two episodes of the series receiving a 4.9% and 4.4% in viewers. That puts Gobusters as a whole at a viewership of approximately 4.0%!

But the downward trend continues into Kyoruger, with the first three episodes only scoring a 4.3%, 4.0%, and 3.2%.

Of course, Rising Sun’s usual source for these rating reports come from a different source, with their original source stomped out in a crackdown by Toei

These numbers may not be accurate but they seem to indicate that Super Sentai is in a downward slump, though weather or not this trend will continue for Kyoruger remains to be seen.

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters DVD Cover Revealed

Posted on February 28, 2013 at 8:56 am by ZeoRangerV under Super Sentai

Thanks to Amazon.co.jp, we have a look at the DVD cover for the forthcoming Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters VS Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters V-cinema release!

The cover gives us our first look at the Dobutsu Go-Buster suits, which feature more traditional black visors on the helmets. Among them is the brand new Black Puma character, and Hiromu’s sister Rika as another Pink Buster character!

The film is 45 minutes long and will be released June 21st.

Thank you to Tokunation member Blade Raider for sharing!

Go-Busters Vs. Go-Busters Cast List Revealed

Posted on February 27, 2013 at 9:04 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Credit to user KRX for pointing us to this. AlphaHeroShock has just posted up the character list for the upcoming V-Cinema Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Vs. Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters!

Hiromu Sakurada / Red Cheetah – Katsuhiro Suzuki
Ryuji Iwasaki / Blue Gorilla – Ryoma Baba
Yoko Usami / Yellow Rabbit – Arisa Komiya
Masato Jin / Gold Beetle – Hiroya Matsumoto
Takeshi Kuroki / Black Puma – Hideo Sakaki
Rika Sakurada / Pink Cat – Risa Yoshiki
Atsushi Domyoji / Green Hippopotamus – Tatsuhisa Suzuki
Kami-sama (Enter) – Syo Jinnai
Kikai Nyotei Transistor (Escape)- Ayame Mizaki

This information comes from the current issue of Hyper Hobby Magazine. Sadly and rather oddly this list excludes fan favorite character Beet J Stag! What could this mean? Is J missing after the finale of the Go-Busters TV Series? The Dobutsu (or animal) Go-Busters are supposed to be an alternate version of the team that our normal Busters will face off against. Perhaps they come from an alternate world that has no Beet J Stag?

Go-Busters Vs. Go-Busters will be released on DVD June 21st and retails for 6300 yen! It’s time for final buster!

Posted on February 10, 2013 at 1:06 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Today, the final episode of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, Final Mission – Eternal Bonds aired in Japan. This marks the end of the 36th entry in the Super Sentai franchise and we wish the Go-Busters a farewell for now with our Go-Busters Final Mission Discussion. Go-Busters V-Cinema – New Info

Posted on February 4, 2013 at 10:41 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

Thanks to a post on his blog, Katsuhiro Suzuki AKA Hiromu/Red Buster, has revealed the title of the Go-Busters V-Cinema; Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Vs. Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters! Dobutsu translates to animal in english, so could this mean the Go-Busters will be facing an evil animal themed version of themselves? Perhaps the Buddyroids decide to form their own sentai?

Our questions will be answered when this V-Cinema has it’s rental release on June 14th and it’s mass retail release on June 21st! The price for the complete edition of the film will be 6300 yen and it will include the main film itself as well as behind the scenes features and videos on the film and series. The standard edition will cost 4725 yen. It’s also rumored that Phantom Thief Pink Buster may be making a reappearance in this film.

Go-Busters V-Cinema Coming This June!

Posted on January 24, 2013 at 12:59 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

In news that should shock most people, it has just been announced via an Amazon.JP listing that Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters will have a V-Cinema (straight to DVD original movie) this June! Normally V-Cinemas come about because of the high ratings a series enjoys, which was the case when both Shinkenger and Goseiger had Returns V-Cinemas. With Go-Busters record low ratings it’s quite surprising, but none the less welcome, to see a new V-Cinema!

The film itself has the tentative titled Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters V-Cinema. Release date is June 21st, for 6300 yen. We’ll update you as more information becomes available.
