TokuNation.com Mighty Morphin Give Away Contest

Posted on August 14, 2013 at 6:47 pm by Chris under Contests and Giveaways, Power Rangers

We teased it for weeks and it’s finally time to reveal it!

Our goal at San Diego Comic Con was to get as many awesome things as possible to give away to our fans, users, and social media followers! And while some of our contest item attempts were thwarted due to insane lines, policy changes from Bandai, and overall work versus play-time, we did snag a few things and have bundled them together for some fun prizes!

Without further wait, here are the prizes! Click the title of the story to check out pictures of each individual prize.

The Grand Green Prize[/u]
The Green Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is an icon of the brand, and the actor who brought the character to life, Jason David Frank, went on to be the most popular Power Ranger of all time. The Grand Green Prize celebrates the character of Tommy Oliver, and is yours to win!

  • S.H. Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Green Ranger figure mint in sealed box, autographed by Jason David Frank (signed at his SDCC 2013 Saturday night VIP event)
  • SDCC 2013 Bluefin Tamashii Power Rangers Action Card Game S.H. Figuarts Red & Green Ranger card, mint in bag

The Red Prize[/u]
If the Green Ranger is the most popular, the first Red Ranger is right behind him as one of the most iconic Power Rangers ever. Our Red Prize celebrates that character and is yours to win!

  • S.H. Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Red Ranger, mint in sealed box
  • SDCC 2013 Power Rangers Action Card Game S.H. Figuarts Red & Green Ranger card, mint in bag
  • SDCC 2013 Power Rangers Action Card Game Mighty Morphin Red Ranger card, mint in bag

The Gosei Prize[/u]
The 20th Anniversary of Power Rangers is upon us, and the current iteration of the brand, Power Rangers Megaforce, heavily plays on the original series featuring five teenagers with attitude who spend their off-time at Ernie’s – just like the original five! They power up using cards to morph and call upon their weapons and Mechazords. There were seven cards exclusive to San Diego Comic Con 2013, and all seven of them are yours to win in one shot!

  • A full set of the 7 SDCC 2013 exclusive Power Rangers Action Card Game cards all mint in bag (S.H. Figuarts Red & Green Ranger, Red Mighty Morphin, Dino Megazord, Green Mighty Morphin, Red Ultra Megaforce, White Mighty Morphin, and Red Mighty Morphin with Dragon Armor)

So how do you go about winning these great prizes?

Between now and the end of the month of August, we will post three items on our frontpage – they could be news stories, a toy gallery, a site update, etc. – and if you see the following catch phrase in the news story:

“Post in this discussion thread, retweet this news post on Twitter, and “Like” this story on our Facebook for your chance to win the ______ Prize!”

…just follow the instructions and you’re entered! It’s important to note that we will NOT announce the contest entry in the news story title, it’s up to you and your peers to check out our updates to see if it’s a contest story! We may or may not hint at when a contest story is coming.

There’s three ways to enter for each prize!

1 – Post in the discussion thread of that news story (you must be a member of TokuNation.com to do so, so hurry up and register today!)
2 – When the news story hits Twitter, retweet it! (so make sure you’re following us @TokuNation on Twitter!)
3 – “Like” the story on our Facebook (so be sure to ”Like” us on Facebook!)

Entries from all three places will be pooled together and one winner will be randomly selected for each prize. You have a way to enter three times (through the site, Twitter, and Facebook) so be sure to increase your chances at winning by doing all three!

NOTE: Due to our RSS feed, we realize that our Twitter feed will post the news story from the frontpage, as well as a second time when it hits Facebook. We will only honor one retweet of the contest entry story as a contest entry. You are more than welcome to retweet both of the tweets just to make sure you’ve entered, but you will NOT be entered for both.

If you have any specific questions, please ask them in this discussion thread or direct them to us on social media and our administration team will answer them. Fine print below. Thanks, and good luck!

New Kamen Rider Knight Survive S.H. Figuart Teased?

Posted on August 14, 2013 at 10:34 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

A pair of images has surfaced overnight showcasing what appears to be a new release of S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Knight Survive from Kamen Rider Ryuki! Some have speculated this to simply be a color faded Knight Survive but don’t be fooled by this clean silver paint scheme. As many owners of Kuuga Rising Mighty know, paint fading is never that crisp or evenly distributed.

What we may be looking at is a new version of Knight Survive from the Kamen Ruder Ryuki Novel due for release on August 30th. If the new Heisei Rider novels have shown us anything it’s that they like to make additions to the existing mythos of the series they’re from. The new Kamen Rider Cyclone from the W Novel received the SHF treatment just recently. So if in fact this version of Knight Survive is in the Ryuki novel then this could be an early tease of it’s release.

So is it a new figure? The most extreme case of paint fade on a figuart? A custom? You let us know what you think in this thread while we scour the net for further info on this figure!
