Knuckle & Shin Kurokage Advertise Lock Seeds

Posted on June 2, 2014 at 12:28 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Continuing it’s trend of bringing actors back in to play their characters and sell merchandise Bandai of Japan has returned with the 2 key members of Team Baron! Zach AKA Kamen Rider Knuckle & Peco the soon to be Kamen Rider Shin Kurokage from the Gaim Summer Film!

Today Zack and Peco have dropped in to advertise upcoming DX Lock Seed premium sets. Zack is of course advertising his DX Kurumi (walnut) Lock along with the blank/Knuckle Rider indicator faceplate. As well as briefly mentioning the ACPB04 Arms Change Knuckle figure.

Meanwhile in a surprise reveal Peco has stopped in to advertise/announce the DX Matsubokuri (pinecone) Energy Lock Seed! Currently this lock is exclusive to Gaim’s upcoming Summer Film. It allows Peco to transform into the energy rider Shin Kurokage! This certainly raises hopes for anyone who thought BOJ might forget a rider or two from this franchise.

The mere existence of this lock means we could still see an Arms Change or SH Figuart of even this most obscure rider!

Nanoblock To Release Kamen Rider Sets

Posted on June 1, 2014 at 10:31 pm by Kiryu under Kamen Rider

This bit of news narrowly flew under the radar: building Block company Nanoblock will be releasing Kamen RIder themed sets later this month!

Found via Amazon Japan, we have listings for the four main Riders of Kamen Rider Gaim including Gaim himself, Baron, Ryugen, and Zangetsu, with the production images showing that you can replicated the pre-transformed giant fruit on head state somewhat, each Rider will come with his signature weapon.

Also joining the Gaim Riders, we have Kamen Rider 1whom will include enough pieces to build the Cyclone Bike in addition to a set that will include two Shocker Combatmen.

The sets aren’t too expensive with the Gaim riders costing 1680 yen a piece while the Shocker two pack at 1944 yen. Understandably, Kamen Rider 1 is a bit pricer at 2160 yen.

According to the Amazon Japan listings, these should be release on June 30th.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Shin Gallery

Posted on June 1, 2014 at 9:23 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

It’s time for TokuNation to take a dark turn down memory lane, all the way back to 1992. That was the year the film Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue was released. This film was the very definition of a grim gritty reboot for the beloved Kamen Rider franchise. As “Prologue” implies, this film was originally meant to set up a new rider TV series. Despite the films incredible practical & special effects, it’s dark re-imagining of the rider concept put off too many old school fans while simultaneously frightening new young fans of the time.

Until now Shin has been mostly relegated to making special appearances in Kamen Rider team-up films such as All-Riders VS Dai Shocker, Let’s Go Kamen Riders, or the Heisei VS Showa Taisen. But now Bandai & Tamashii Nations has shown the most monstrous of riders some serious love. Soon to be released is a Super Imaginative Chogokin figure of Shin. But that’s not all, recently released via the Tamashii Web Shop is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Shin! And he’s the subject of today’s gallery as well!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Shin is the best representation of this rider’s grotesque form that’s ever been released. Though he’s lite in the accessories department, frankly Shin shouldn’t have any. He has no bike in his rider form, and unlike more modern riders Shin carries no weapons, and has never been shown to use any special powered up attacks. Instead relying on brute strength to fight other Cyborg Soldiers like himself. Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see the full gallery of this fantastic figure!

Kamen Rider Gaim DX Kiwami Lock Seed Official Images

Posted on June 1, 2014 at 7:51 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

If you aren’t caught up yet on Kamen Rider Gaim episodes then trust us, now is the time. If you are then be sure to head over to our Episode 32 “The Strongest Power, Kiwami Arms” discussion thread. Because this week Kamen Rider Gaim Kiwami Arms makes his powerful debut!

On that topic Bandai Of Japan has also just released official images of the DX Kiwami Lock Seed/Key set. This set includes the Kiwami Lock/Key and the Senyo Joint adapter which replaces the rider indicator faceplate. When inserted through the joint and turned, the key reveals the secondary faceplate of the Kachidoki Lock Seed and a new plate on the Kiwami folds down as well. This set is priced at 2500 yen.

Another larger pack including Kiwami, the Joint, and the Kachidoki Lock Seed will also be released concurrently with the standard Kiwami & Joint set. This larger set is priced at 4500 yen.

Power Rangers Legendary 5 Inch RPM Red Ranger Gallery

Posted on June 1, 2014 at 2:31 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

The wave 4 assortment of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce 5 inch action figures has been released (online at least) and it’s one of our first chances to pick up some of the Legendary Red Rangers from past seasons. With special thanks to our friend Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com we are able to bring you some great galleries of all the figures in this case assortment. First up? The Red Ranger from the fan-favorite series Power Rangers RPM!

For someone who is personally a huge fan of the S.H. Figuarts line of figures (if you don’t know what those are, check out our galleries section and browse through numerous entries) I can say I was pleasantly surprised at how simple, yet fun and detailed, this figure actually is. While there’s some minor issues that will always bug me (the way the figure is molded where the back is curved while standing straight up causing posing issues), I actually cannot recommend this figure enough. While the weapons aren’t necessarily painted (the Street Saber has a silver painted blade, but the Nitro Blaster is simply red plastic) the detail in them is pretty slick for a 5 inch action figure.

The Legendary RPM Red Ranger comes with his Nitro Blaster and his Street Saber accessories, features a decent amount of posability and articulation, and isn’t going to cost you upwards of $40 like S.H. Figuarts do. If you’re a fan of either Power Rangers RPM or the Super Sentai version Go-Onger, this figure is, in my honest opinion, a must purchase (until a higher grade collectible figure is released which there are no plans for right now).

Please click here to see 30+ pictures of the RPM Red Ranger! Stay tuned throughout the next couple weeks as we continue to release galleries of all the figures from this case assortment. Check your local stores and favorite online retailers to see if and when these figures come in stock! GET IN GEAR!
