This morning Tsuburaya Productions has announced a brand new short form Youtube series for the Ultraman franchise. Ultra Galaxy Fight New Generation Heroes pits the New Gen Ultras from Ginga all the way through Geed against the League of Darkness! Their ranks comprised of more brand new additions to the iconic dark repaint category, the League also appears to be lead by a character originally created for the Pachinko game Ultraman Taro: Revenge of the Dark. None other than Ultra Dark Killer! Though he’s appeared off and on in stage shows, this marks the villains first TV series appearance. Menacing our heroes will also be two slick new evil repaints, Ultraman X Darkness and Ultraman Geed Darkness!
In a surprise move Tsuburaya has not only posted a standard Japanese trailer for the series to their Youtube, but an English trailer as well! In addition, an english statement from series director, the incredible Koichi Sakamoto, has been posted detailing the series. The series will release worldwide in both Japanese & English simultaneously each week. The series will begin September 29th an run for 13 episodes, each 5 minutes long. Check out the English trailer below!
MoarCrossovers says
A new miniseries streaming exclusively on the Ultraman Official YouTube channel that serves as an intermediate between Ultraman R/B The Movie and Ultraman Taiga. Interestingly, the show will be broadcast in both English and Japanese at the same time.

My guess it'll be an excuse plot to get all the New Generation Ultras in one place in order to explain the beginning of Taiga's series. Though personally I was ready to just accept 'there is some trouble in space and they all happened to know about it'.
Salaryman Zero says
My body is ready. No such thing as too much Ultraman content.

Ah gotta love it when they turn Pachinko Exclusive villains into Stage Show Villains and then finally giving them true love by giving them an actual physical appearance in a series/mini-series.
UltraDarkKiller was too good a design to just be relegated to pachinko and stage shows.
FreshToku says
Also the concept of a Dark Geed is inherently funny because Geed himself is already an 'Anti-Belial'.
Salaryman Zero says
Anyway, here's hoping we get fansubs for the R/B movie before this drops so we can watch the film first.
Den-O says
Obviously the best thing about a new series like this, is more evil repaints. And in this case Tamashii is making Figuarts! No release details yet, but they have confirmed that Ultraman X Darkness & Ultraman Geed Darkness will see release!
Kiwami says
These two look mighty fine, the red & black deco with the purple accents is beautiful.
If they are retail I could see myself picking them up, if they are exclusive I'll pass.
A worldwide release mini-series is super cool, but please let it be subtitled. If they are dubbed I will lose interest instantly. I have seen a few officially dubbed Ultraman things and they are horrible.

While we're at it, let's fancast Ultramen if they were to receive english voice actors.

I'd also prefer subs, but I'll tolerate the dubs because official release on Youtube is pretty good. I assume they think there will be more audience for dubs than subs?
