More big news from Tsuburaya Convention 2019 is the announcement of Ultraman Taiga The Movie: New Generation Climax! This film will not only feature a team up with the previous heroes from Ultraman R/B, but will also include appearances from the other New Generation Ultramen – Ultraman Ginga, Ultraman Victory, Ultraman X, Ultraman Orb and Ultraman Geed!

As seen in the trailer linked below, the film will see the New Generation Ultras join the Tri-Squad to face a new dark threat – one which mysteriously includes Taiga’s own father, Ultraman Taro!

Ultraman Taiga The Movie: New Generation Climax will be released in Japanese cinemas in March 2020.

This morning Tsuburaya Productions has announced a brand new short form Youtube series for the Ultraman franchise. Ultra Galaxy Fight New Generation Heroes pits the New Gen Ultras from Ginga all the way through Geed against the League of Darkness! Their ranks comprised of more brand new additions to the iconic dark repaint category, the League also appears to be lead by a character originally created for the Pachinko game Ultraman Taro: Revenge of the Dark. None other than Ultra Dark Killer! Though he’s appeared off and on in stage shows, this marks the villains first TV series appearance. Menacing our heroes will also be two slick new evil repaints, Ultraman X Darkness and Ultraman Geed Darkness!

In a surprise move Tsuburaya has not only posted a standard Japanese trailer for the series to their Youtube, but an English trailer as well! In addition, an english statement from series director, the incredible Koichi Sakamoto, has been posted detailing the series. The series will release worldwide in both Japanese & English simultaneously each week. The series will begin September 29th an run for 13 episodes, each 5 minutes long. Though the series itself may about to come to an end, Ultraman R/B fans still have plenty to look forward to as their story continues on into Ultraman R/B the Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bonds! As has been the case with the previous New Generation Ultra films, the film will also see the previous Ultra hero make a return as Riku Asakura/Ultraman Geed joins the cast.

As well as releasing promotional images for the film’s new characters, Tsuburaya Productions have also launched the first trailer for the film that shows them off in action. The big news is that Asahi Minato will be joining her brothers as the previously revealed Ultrawoman Grigio! The three siblings will also combine into the new Ultraman GRB.  Joining them is also the mysterious Ultraman Tregear, who will serve as the film’s main antagonist.

Ultraman R/B the Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bonds will be released in Japanese cinemas on March 8th 2019. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts!

The next Ultraman for SH Figuarts has been revealed!

Ultraman Ruebe the titular hero of Ultraman R/B is recreated in exquisite detail. Ruebe comes with his signature weapon- the R/B Kourin and two special effects parts for his counterpart figures- Ultraman Rosso & Ultraman Blu!

SH Figuarts Ultraman Ruebe is currently scheduled for release in June 2019! The price is a very modest 7020 Yen before shipping and handling.

As always this event brings us a smattering of new reveals, many which may or may not ever see the light of day again afterwards. In case you missed it, Bandai announced that a quadruple whammy of Ultraman R/B S.H.Figuarts figures were coming our way. Since the initial announcement, the official product page for Ultraman R/B  was recently updated with release info for S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Rosso Wind and Ultraman Blu Ground.

Both forms will see a May 2019 release for 5400 yen. Thanks to some data mining from TendouToys via Twitter, we can confirm that S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Rosso Wind will, in fact, be a Tamashii web exclusive release with pre-orders beginning later in August.

While it wasn’t confirmed, we can only assume that the same announcement will be made for S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Blu Ground as well. Be sure to stay tuned to Tokunation, and we’ll bring you all the latest updates as they’re made available. SELECT, CRYSTAL!

Bandai was certainly quick to hop aboard the S.H.Figuarts Ultraman R/B train this year, here are our first teaser images for the S.H.Figaurts Ultraman R/B line.

Four Figuarts were shown: S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Rosso Flame, S.H.Figuarts Blu Water, S.H.Figuarts Rosso Wind, and finally S.H.Figuarts Blu Ground along with what appears to be personalized Tamashii Act stage stands to correspond with each Ultraman form.

The four will be released at Mass retail, Rosso Flame and Blu Aqua will come out December 2018 while Ground and Wind will come out January it’s unclear if the stands will be included as part of the accessory count or as a first run pre order bonus of some kind. 

Of course, this is all merely speculative based on what little information we currently have available. Stay tuned to Tokunation, and we’ll be sure to give you more up to date info as soon as it becomes available.

In case you missed it, Ultraman R/B is Tsuburaya’s new Ultraman series, and the debut of this exciting new entry into the franchise is right around the corner.

A new trailer has just gone live, giving us a brief glimpse at the actual show itself though not much story info was given we are treated to a few action sequences showcasing the Transformation Crystals and just how exactly they’ll work when in use in addition to the transformation and finishing attacks of both brothers.

In case you missed it, Tsuburaya’s latest Ultraman series: Ultraman R/B was revealed not that ago, and some new details on this exciting new series have emerged thanks to a press release direct from Tsuburaya Productions themselves.

Our lead actors have both been revealed; actor Yuya Hirata will be playing the role of Katsumi Minato, Ultraman Rosso while Ryosuke Koike will be playing Isami Minato, Ultraman Blu this marks the first Ultraman series to feature two lead Ultramen that are also brothers.

The first preview teaser was also released online, and while it doesn’t give us any story related elements it does give us a closer look at these snazzy new suits. The first episode of Ultraman R/B will premiere on TV Tokyo July 7th, said teaser can be viewed by hitting the box below:

The new Ultraman series is finally here! Toy scans have been circulating around the web and we now have our first look at the new Ultra hero series: Ultraman R/B! Here’s all the info we’ve been able to collect via Twitter and Rangerboard

Ultraman R/B will feature two Ultramen: Ultraman Rosso and Ultraman Blu. To transform, they use the DX Rube Gyro along with Transformation Crystals which will be the series collectible gimmick. Rosso and Bull will have elemental crystals based on powers from past Ultramen:

Rosso Aqua based on Ginga
Rosso Wind Based on Tiga

Rosso Ground based on Victory

Ultraman Blu Flame and Blu Wind are based on Tiga’s powers

and Ultraman Blu Ground is based on Victory.

Their enemy is Ultraman Orb Dark who uses the Orb Ring Neo and Girujyobon Crystal to transform. Ultraman R/B will premiere on July 7th, and while the plot and cast are still currently unknown but we’ll be sure to bring you more up to date info as it becomes available.
