Released just last week at San Diego Comic Con, the GX-76B Soul of Chogokin Black Megazord will no longer be exclusive to SDCC. According to the latest issue of Figure Oh, we have confirmed the release of this set in Japan.
Release date has not been announced at this time, but the GX-76B Soul of Chogokin Black Daizyujin will officially be available as a Tamashii Web Exclusive. Retail price is 32,400 yen. This release will likely feature some slightly altered packaging though we don’t know what it looks like at this time.

The SOC Black Megazord, Daizyujin in this case, will be released in Japan as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 32,400 yen. Retail for the SDCC release of the set worked out to $324 after tax. So you still got a better deal on it if you managed to snag one at original price during SCCC. Release date, TBA.

The black and green color scheme makes it look very unified. Heck, I could picture BOOM studios saying it is Tommy wielding all six OG power coins or maybe if the original 5 ever go all green again the zords turn green and black as well specifically those colors.

I love it for the unified look, but to me it has this almost "Shadow Daizyujin" feel to it. Like the yin to the original guardian's Yang as corrupted and maligned by Bandora/Rita. Like a What if they never woke up, and Burai's Dragon Caesar was discovered by others instead. It'd be such a perfect place for them to capitalize on the Lord Zedd hype too that even Japan had, but they had no real series of their own to use for him. (Though I do love the Kyuranger nod!) So it having her americanized trademark green fits that pattern to me. But then also does have this better unified cohesion of a Gouryuujin too that's too perfect to pass up. Like Burai as centuries later the last man standing, or someone descended from Burai.
I also really love that concept of every coin has two sides. So why not every power coin having an opposite. So much material and potential to work with. God it makes me excited for what they could do for the Zyu 30th.
