Akibaranger Season 2 S.H. Figuarts & Additional Images

Posted on February 28, 2013 at 11:39 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Scans of the latest Figure-Oh Magazine, #181 have just hit and with them we get more looks at Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2! These images show off the new Akibaranger costumes in all their glory, noting the differences from the original suits to these new updates.

Also included in these scans are multiple images of the new trio of S.H. Figuarts Akibarangers which give us a better look at Cho Akibared as well as the new hairstyles for Yellow and Blue. A brief snippet on the side of the Season 1 recap page even gives us 2 new images of S.H. Figuarts Delu Knight and confirms his release in July for 3675 yen!

Last but not least is a pair of new images from Super Hero Taisen Z! One showing Wizard, Beast, and Goaki Silver facing off against Sharivan! And the other showing off more of the Space Shocker elite, the new buddyroid Chisato, as well as Gokai Silver disguised (or brainwashed?) as a Shocker Soldier!

DX Gabutyra Hack Reveals Sentai Callouts

Posted on February 27, 2013 at 10:26 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Thanks to the team at Henshin Justice Unlimited for pointing us to this particular video. It seems that much like your usual Rider Belts and Sentai Changers that some crafty fan in Japan has hacked their DX Kyoryuger Gabutyra. The hack reveals a sound clip that names every sentai in succession from Go-Ranger to Kyoryuger!

Chances are this is a toy only feature that won’t be used in show. Much like the Go-Buster Morphin’ Brace shouting out “Super Sentai” or the Specil Rush Wizard Ring which called out all the Showa Kamen Riders.

Go-Busters Vs. Go-Busters Cast List Revealed

Posted on February 27, 2013 at 9:04 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Credit to user KRX for pointing us to this. AlphaHeroShock has just posted up the character list for the upcoming V-Cinema Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Vs. Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters!

Hiromu Sakurada / Red Cheetah – Katsuhiro Suzuki
Ryuji Iwasaki / Blue Gorilla – Ryoma Baba
Yoko Usami / Yellow Rabbit – Arisa Komiya
Masato Jin / Gold Beetle – Hiroya Matsumoto
Takeshi Kuroki / Black Puma – Hideo Sakaki
Rika Sakurada / Pink Cat – Risa Yoshiki
Atsushi Domyoji / Green Hippopotamus – Tatsuhisa Suzuki
Kami-sama (Enter) – Syo Jinnai
Kikai Nyotei Transistor (Escape)- Ayame Mizaki

This information comes from the current issue of Hyper Hobby Magazine. Sadly and rather oddly this list excludes fan favorite character Beet J Stag! What could this mean? Is J missing after the finale of the Go-Busters TV Series? The Dobutsu (or animal) Go-Busters are supposed to be an alternate version of the team that our normal Busters will face off against. Perhaps they come from an alternate world that has no Beet J Stag?

Go-Busters Vs. Go-Busters will be released on DVD June 21st and retails for 6300 yen! It’s time for final buster!

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 11:10 pm by Den-O under Ultraman

And you all thought the Garo Pachinko Game was gonna be the game to play! Well on top of recent info about Ultra-Act Ultraman Taro it looks like Taros’ recently released pachinko game is about to receive a face lift with a new story line!

Ultraman Taro: Revenge of The Dark continues a plot from the final episodes of Ultraman Mebius, Armored Darkness. This game will feature Dark Killer version of five Ultramen including Dark Killer Ace, Dark Killer Seven, and Dark Killer First. The game will also introduce a central villain known as Ultra Dark Killer.

Akibaranger Season 2 Cast Confirmed

Posted on February 22, 2013 at 12:39 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Thanks yet again to user DrillBit for pointing us in the right direction for this info. It has been revealed, via the Akiabranger Official Website who the confirmed cast members are for Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2!

Masato Wada as Nobuo Akagi Akiba Red
Karin Ogin as Moegi Yumeria/Yuko Yokoyama Akiba Yellow
Shione Sawada as Mitsuki Iwashimizu Akiba Blue
Honoka as Malsheena
Maya Uchida as Hiroyo Hakase
Kozue Aikawa as Kozkoz
Ryo Horikawa as new villain General Tsu. Fans of Horikawa will recognize him as the voice of none other than Dragon Ball Z’s Vegeta!

Sadly this news confirms what has long been suspected. Akiba Blues’ original actress, Kyoko Hinami, will not be returning. She recently changed acting agencies in between the 2 seasons of Akibaranger and as a result can no longer work on the show. Her inability to return will most likely be written into the story as Hate Saburo messing with the Akibarangers universe once again.

The alterations to the Akiba Blue costume probably stem from the characters departure and the new persona that Yellow has taken on (Yuko) could explain the buns where her pigtails used to be. We’re still waiting for more info on the Akiba Red Z-Cune Power Up Armor as well.

Kyoyuger Rumor – More Than 6 Heroes?

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 11:20 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

About a month ago Tokunation.com brought you the rumors of 10 Zyudenryu mecha that would appear in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. Today we bring you a new set of rumors about the rangers that may have been partnered with those other mecha!

According to information posted at AlphaHeroShock when Zyudenryu 06, Ankyodon, appears the spirit of his Kyoryuger will appear and grant the modern Kyoryugers his power! Ankyodons’ partner ranger is said to have been chosen 500 years ago. Named Ramirez he was the Brave of Steel, KyoryuCyan!

This would also lead us to believe that for each new mecha the Kyoryugers acquire that the spirit of a fallen hero will greet them! We know for a fact that Torin created 10 Zyudenryu when the Debos invaded Earth in ancient times. There have been unconfirmed reports of up to 23 Zyudenryu appearing! Will we get a hero for each of them?
