Ninninger DX Lion Ha Oh New Images

Posted on July 4, 2015 at 9:09 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

The behemoth and seemingly final (?) mecha of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger is due for a July 18th official release at Japanese retail. Priced at a whopping 9980 yen this big figure has been quite divisive with collectors. DX Lion Ha Oh’s large size and semi-simplistic design has put many off, but perhaps these new display images could change your mind.

Thanks to twitter user @soilu we have some great looks at DX Lion Ha Oh on display at a local Japanese retail shop! These new shots give us a look the impressive scale of Ha Oh confirming that the size is indeed worth the price, for some at least. Will you be picking this figure up? Sound off in our pre-existing Ninninger toy thread and let us know what you think of DX Lion Ha Oh in the comments below!

S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01 Gallery

Posted on June 29, 2015 at 10:27 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

Change! Kikaider 01!

We’re back, with yet another figure from a toku classic! We’ve slowly been working our way through S.H. Figuarts released from the Kikaider franchise, and today we’re taking a look at yet another. Kikaider 01’s titular hero, S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01!

Kikaider 01, Ichiro, is the older brother of the original Kikaider Jiro. Dr. Komyoji’s original prototype, 01 is a bit more emotional as his conscience circuit was actually completed. He’s also unique in that he was solar powered. The figuart sets itself apart from the first Kikaider by actually being a well made toy. Seriously, Kikaider 01 is a vast improvement over Kikaider with some solid articulation & much better QC. Overall it’s just a much better release and shows that Bandai finally found their footing with this subline.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but check out a full 40 image gallery as well as a complete review after the jump! And check in with us next time as we take a look at another classic from the Kikaider franchise with Kikaider 01’s nemesis, S.H. Figuarts Gill Hakaider!

Kamen Rider Black: S.H. Figuarts Rideron Official Images

Posted on June 29, 2015 at 2:43 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Release details were just revealed for this figure a few days ago and now Bandai of Japan has just released official images of S.H. Figuarts Rideron! Fans of Saban’s Masked Rider will undoubtedly recognize this vehicle as Magno, Dex’s trusty vehicle & ally.

Rideron, like the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Tridoron, is another large scale vehicle release from Bandai. However unlike Tridoron, Rideron is indeed a retail release! Priced at 19,440 yen this massive machine will set you back but it also completes a Black/Black RX Figuarts collection for many collectors as the final vehicle in that subline. S.H. Figuarts Rideron will be released this November.

Dekaranger 10 Years After Update: New Characters & Familiar Faces!

Posted on June 29, 2015 at 1:07 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

While it continues filming more information and phots are turning up from the upcoming Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger 10 Years After V-cinema!

Today’s update brings us our first looks at most of the returning cast. Primarily we see Ban/Deka Red in his new Fire Squad uniform as well as what looks like a super SWAT upgrade to his Deka Red form! Tetsu/Deka Break also returns this time as a much higher ranking officer, possibly in charge of the Tokkyou unit.

Houji/Deka Blue is back but far from the cool & collected man we knew, this new disheveled look indicates he’s been down on his luck these past 10 years. Jasmine/Deka Yellow & Doggy/Deka Master return as well apparently with no change. Meanwhile 2 new faces, Neo Deka Red (Assam Asimov) & Neo Deka Yellow (Mugi Grafton), have joined the team! The newcomers have costumes that come with a SWAT vest at default and a new sidearm.

Stay tuned as we continue to bring you updates from this exciting new V-Cinema! Dekaranger 10 years After will be released on DVD & Blu-Ray on October 7th!

Kamen Drive July Episodes & Surprise Future Scans Online

Posted on June 27, 2015 at 11:12 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

As with Ninninger earlier this morning Kamen Rider Drive July magazine scans have been posted for both the TV Series as well as the Surprise Future summer film! These scans feature plenty of new and interesting surprises as well!

Kamen Rider Drive Type Special – the reverse of Kamen Rider Dark Drive and the other half of the Next/Special Shift Car. This form will also be exclusive to SUrprise Future like Drive Super Dead Heat.

Proto-Tridoron – Not to be outdone by the NEX Tridoron featured in the film the original Tridoron from the future also makes an appearance. Specifically a Proto-Drive themed version of it!

Rodimude 108 – Despite the apparent fact that only 107 of these creatures are supposed to exist in the world of Drive #108 arrives from the future.

Heart Ultimate Evolution – Heart’s current goal in recent episodes is to use the emotions evoked by Shinnosuke to achieve this form. And it looks like this July he’ll achieve it!

These are some interesting developments indeed! Stay tuned to Drive this summer to see how things play out!

Kamen Rider Black RX S.H. Figuarts Rideron Release Details

Posted on June 25, 2015 at 11:36 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After a long wait magazine scans from Figure Oh have finally confirmed release details for S.H. Figuarts Rideron!

The first non-bike vehicle used by a rider, Rideron dates back to 1988’s Kamen Rider Black RX. We didn’t see another true car for a rider until the current Kamen Rider Drive began. And it’s the release of S.H. Figuarts Tridoron for Drive that’s finally made Rideron’s release possible!

And what’s the even better news you might ask? Rideron will be a retail release! Shockingly it is NOT a web exclusive! However as with Tridoron, S.H. Figuarts Rideron will be rather pricey at 19440 yen, and is scheduled for November release.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Formula Official Images

Posted on June 24, 2015 at 10:37 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Recently revealed at the Tamashii Nations Summer Collection event, and now up and open for order is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Formula!

Type Formula, Drive’s penultimate form, splits people pretty evenly. You either love it or hate. This figure looks to be doing much of the same. While it undoubtedly captures the look of Type Formula and even includes the signature Trailer Cannon weapon, you may be put off by the fact that ALL of the Shift Car “sponsor labels” must be manually applied. No paint applications just an included decal sheet.

Regardless of this odd choice S.H. Figuarts Drive Type Formula looks to be another solid release. It retails for 5940 yen and will be released in November!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knuckle Official Images

Posted on June 23, 2015 at 9:30 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Revealed via a magazine scan mere days ago, Bandai of Japan has just thrown up an item page for S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knuckle!

The second Kamen Rider of Team Baron from Kamen Rider Gaim, S.H. Figuarts Knuckle is presented here in glorious fashion. However it appears that Kamen Rider Knuckle will be fairly lite on the accessories. Including only one extra set of hands and his two Kurumi Bomber gauntlet weapons. so for the moment at least there doesn’t appear to be much else included with Knuckle.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knuckle will be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 5184 yen in November. Orders open on June 25th!

S.H. Figuarts Ride Chaser & Midnight Shadow Effect Parts Gallery

Posted on June 22, 2015 at 10:38 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

The grim reaper, Mashin Chaser, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of Kamen Rider Drive. But even an evil mechanized life form needs a sweet ride. So today we’re taking a look at his vehicle of choice, the S.H. Figuarts Ride Chaser!

The Ride Chaser was the machine Chase used in his original Proto-Drive Identity and what he continues to use to this day even as the heroic Kamen Rider Chaser. A pretty slick and evil looking bike the Ride Chaser is a bit larger than many figuarts bikes and a bit more of a laid back ride in the same vein as the much older Machine Decader. Lite on the accessories but magnificent looking the Ride Chaser will be right at home with the rest of your Drive collection.

Check out over 30 images of the Ride Chaser & Midnight Shadow Effect Parts by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. I’ll be back soon with galleries of Kamen Rider Mach & the Ride Macher!

S.H. Figuarts Hakaider’s White Crow Gallery

Posted on June 18, 2015 at 11:39 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

“I will take your life.”

The evil Hakaider is one of the most memorable villains in tokusatsu history. A villainous foil in one form or another to every version of Kikaider ever, Hakaider simply wouldn’t be complete with out an awesome ride at his disposal. So today we’re taking a look back at a recent Tamashii Web Exclusive release with the S.H. Figuarts White Crow!

As Hakaider’s personal machine, White Crow is emblazoned with his emblem. However the rest of the bike is very much like the vehicle it’s based on, a 1972 Kawasaki H1 Mach III. But that doesn’t diminish just how gorgeous it looks in silver paint, or how awesome Hakaider looks while riding. As with the previous Kikaider vehicle release in this line, Side Machine, the White Crow include licensed decals, in this case a set of fully licensed Kawsaki labels!

Check out a full gallery & review of S.H. Figuarts White Crow after the jump. And check back in for our next exciting kikaider themed gallery with S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01!
