Kamen Rider Chaser Revealed, Image & On-Set Video!

Posted on March 17, 2015 at 11:37 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After a bit of speculation the last few months, we’ve finally gotten our first look at Kamen Rider Chaser! Not only do we have our first blurry look at this new rider, but in a rare turn of events we even have an onset video to enjoy!

The next rider to join Kamen Rider Drive looks to be very similar in design to the basic Mach suit but with a new asymmetrical helmet, a few purple accents, a Break Gunner style weapon, and a Tire Koukan gimmick on his back. Which should come as no surprise given the fact that the former Proto-Drive and Mashin Chaser will become Kamen Rider Chaser!

What do you think of this new rider’s design? Let us know after the jump!

Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie 5 Inch Pink Ranger Gallery

Posted on March 17, 2015 at 12:30 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

Once again TokuNation is giving you a blast from the past! We’ve been taking a look at brand new figures from Bandai of America’s Power Rangers 5″ Legacy Line, and today we’re looking at the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Pink Ranger!

As with our previously reviewed 5″ Movie Red Ranger & Black Ranger this figure marks the first time ever that the Movie Pink Ranger has been portrayed properly in toy form. While nicely detailed the articulation is a mixed bag though the accessories partially make up for this. The Legacy Movie Pink Ranger specifically comes with her Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster and the Pterodactyl Thunder Whip! A weapon that could stun or electrocute enemies in the film. We break down the ins and outs of this figure, both positive & negative, in the review after the jump.

We’ve also attached a selection of images to this post but the full gallery thread contains over 50 images of this highly anticipated new figure.  Be sure to check out the images & full review, with more than a few fun bonuses included, and be sure to share your thoughts on the 5″ Legacy Pink Ranger in our gallery thread!

As with our previously reviewed 5″ Movie Red Ranger this figure marks the first time ever that the Movie Black Ranger has been portrayed properly in toy form. The Legacy Movie Black Ranger specifically comes with his Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster but unfortunately that’s it. We break down the ins and outs of this figure, both positive & negative in the review after the jump.

Reminder: Lexington Comic & Toy Con 2015 This Weekend, March 13th-15th!

Posted on March 9, 2015 at 11:52 pm by Den-O under Conventions, General Tokusatsu News, Other Conventions, Power Rangers, Super Sentai, Ultraman

It’s that time of year once again for the comic & toy convention season to get under way! And getting the ball rolling on both fronts is the upcoming Lexington Comic & Toy Con, from March 13th-15th! What began in 2012 as a con that garnered over 1000 guests has flourished in the years since to it’s height now, attracting upwards of 20,000 guests from the around the midwest & southeast!

What’s even more impressive is how the guest list for this con has grown from featuring just a few of your favorite Power Rangers actors, to being one of the nations premiere selections of ranger actors! This year the convention staff have pulled out all the stops to offer the BIGGEST selection of Power Rangers, & Indeed Super Sentai actors, possible! Not to mention a few other fantastic bonuses for Ultraman fans! Check out the full guest list as it pertains to the tokusatsu fandom below, as maintained by our very own uchihabro77!

Aside from this star studded guest list, LexCon is also an opportunity for fans to make real world connections. As I’ve done in years past I will of course be there repping for TokuNation.com & the Talkin Toku Podcast. But many other groups and personalities in the tokusatsu fandom will also be in attendance like trekkieb47 of Ranger Command Power Hour and RiderJetfire of Dans Toku Rants. If you’re going to be in attendance be sure to post in our Lexington Comic & Toy Con 2015 thread. We’ll see you there!

Posted on March 7, 2015 at 1:53 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

TokuNation is finally proud to present the first in a new series of photo galleries for your viewing pleasure. Based on the classic 1995 film Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a new line of 5″ figures that have just made their way to Toys R Us locations across the country. Today we’re spotlighting the first in that series of figures, the 5″ Legacy Movie Red Ranger!

This figure is the first foray ever that Bandai of America has made into producing toys of the actual costumes used in the original MMPR film. Wonderfully detailed and at a pretty affordable price point, most any fan of this original movie should be happy to have one or more of these Legacy Figures in their collection. The Legacy Movie Red Ranger in particular comes packaged with his Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster, and the unique Power Scope from the film!
