Power Rangers Megaforce Season Finale – Episode Clips, Poll, and Season Poll

Posted on November 30, 2013 at 11:04 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

In case you missed it, today was the season finale for Power Rangers Megaforce with the 20th episode entitled “End Game”. A brief episode synopsis has the Power Rangers going up against Cyborg Vrak, Metal Alice, and The Messenger all before The Armada from all stretches of the universe arrives to invade the Earth!

Click here to vote on the episode and discuss it!

Our friend Fury Diamond took the time to upload some of his favorite moments from the episode. We’ve mirrored a couple of the clips below, but to see the rest of them, you’ll have to click here and go to his blog!

In the clip below, we see the Red Ranger Troy training for the upcoming battle. He’s quickly interrupted by the others as the battle begins.

As the battle rages on, the Power Rangers have probably their best morph of the season.

Finally, this last clip CONTAINS SPOILERS – DO NOT WATCH IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED. It’s the final scene of the season, where we find out just how much trouble our heroes are in. Special note, never heard a mentor panic as much as Gosei does in this clip.

Again, please check out Fury Diamond’s blog, Samurai Cast, to see this and even more!

So what did you think of this finale?

Click here to vote on the episode and discuss!

And now that the “first season” of Power Rangers Megaforce has come to an end, we have another poll open for you to tell us what you thought of this season.

Click here to vote on the first season of Power Rangers Megaforce!

As we get closer to the launch of Power Rangers Super Megaforce we will begin the hype. Until then, let this finale sink in. Something legendary will happen in February.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Morpher Gallery

Posted on November 29, 2013 at 9:47 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Tokunation.com continues coverage of the Super Megaforce toy line release with a gallery by photo staff member conundrum of the highly anticipated Deluxe Legendary Morpher!

The Morpher is based on the Mobirate from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger but is a completely new mold from Bandai of America. It has three ‘generic’ sounds that play when the unit is turned on, the keypad is pressed, and the Ranger Key is removed. The Morpher also makes two team related sounds per key when it is inserted and turned.

The Legendary Morpher weighs approximately 4.5 ounces with three button-cell batteries inserted. Folded, it is approximately 4.5in long x 2.25in wide x 2.25in thick. Open, it is approximately 8.5in long x 2.25in wide x 1.5in thick.

The Legendary Morpher is packaged with the Red Mighty Morphin Ranger key and the Red Super Megaforce Ranger key. Each key is approximately 2.5 inches tall in ranger form and 2.75 inches long in key form. Although considerably smaller than the Gokaiger keys, the Super Megaforce versions do have well sculpted details and well applied paint applications.

Is the Dx Legendary Morpher or Ranger Keys worth picking up? Check out the gallery after the jump and add your own thoughts to the discussion!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Fourze Effects Set

Posted on November 29, 2013 at 11:23 am by Chris under Kamen Rider

Photo staff member ryan brings us a look at the exclusive Kamen Rider Fourze Effects Set, originally available at the 2012 Tamashii Nations Event.

The Fourze Effects Set contains a drill effect, Elek States and Fire States themed Tamashii Act 4 stages bases, three Act 4 stage arms, a smoke effect base, 2 electricity effects, and a flame effect. I would have liked another fire effect of any kind, but what we get is great.

This Set was originally available at the 2012 Tamashii Nations event, and then later at the Tamashii Web Exclusive shop, I recent picked it up on Mandarake for a reasonable price, and am very pleased with it.

To see the full gallery, at the bottom of the news post!

2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade – Power Rangers Super Megaforce Video

Posted on November 28, 2013 at 1:58 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Happy Thanksgiving! And to celebrate, here’s a video encode from our good friend Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com! Check out the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers join forces with the Power Rangers Super Megaforce!

The video contains both the encodes from NBC as well as CBS. It’s important to note that CBS was obviously reading an out-dated fact sheet, naming the Power Rangers Samurai characters instead of the Power Rangers Megaforce characters.

Are you excited for Super Megaforce? Let us know! And be sure to check out all of Fury Diamond‘s stuff at his blog, SamuraiCast Blog!

Power Rangers Wild Force Dx Growl Phone Gallery

Posted on November 26, 2013 at 8:06 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Tokunation.com continues it’s month long tribute to Power Rangers Wild Force with a gallery of the personal morpher of the five core Wild Force Rangers, the Growl Phone!

Produced by Bandai of America for the Wild Force toy line, the Growl Phone is a neutered version of the G-Phone from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger. The Growl Phone is able to transform into a representation of the Lion Wild Zord but lacks the additional accessories and moving parts to transform into the other four main Wild Zords.

All buttons on the morpher’s keypad can be pressed but all make the same sound. Pressing the lion button activates a second sound and causes two green lights on the phone’s ‘screen’ to flash.

Check out all the photos by our photo staff member conundrum by clicking here or by clicking the ”Discuss on Tokunation forums” link at the bottom of the post!

David Yost and Walter Jones to Attend Denver Comic Con June 13-15, 2014

Posted on November 26, 2013 at 7:25 pm by Chris under Conventions, Other Conventions

If you haven’t heard of Denver Comic Con then it’s time you got yourself familiarized! The first show happened in 2012 and was met with great praise for being well-organized and a fun experience. Then in 2013, they were met with record number increases, so much that they had to turn people away from entering the show, as it was entirely sold out (we’re talking an increase from a few thousand to TENS of THOUSANDS with people getting in line for tickets at 1am)!

And now in 2014 they are finally dabbling in the genre of tokusatsu, announcing David Yost (the Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger) and Walter Jones (the original Mighty Morphin Black Ranger) as special guests. Both Yost and Jones are still relatively new to the convention circuits, only recently in the last year or so getting in to conventions.

Denver Comic Con will be held June 13th, 14th, and 15th at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver, Colorado. Tickets go on sale Cyber Monday (Monday, December 2nd).

Click here for more information on Denver Comic Con!

I will be at the show – will you?
