Critically acclaimed director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad) recently sat down with Joseph Deckelmeier for a question and answer session on the recently released The Suicide Squad movie.  During the interview, James Gunn was gracious enough to answer a couple of questions regarding his love of the Kamen Rider franchise.

In the interview, James Gunn shares what his favorite Kamen Rider is, the inspirations he has taken from Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Kaiju movies as a whole, and whether or not he feels Kamen Rider could be a success in America (spoiler: he says yes!).

The popular J-RPG tactical series Super Robot Wars has another released planned – Super Robot Wars 30 – celebrating its 30th anniversary.  Included in this 30th anniversary is none other than SSSS Gridman!

Here are the details of the game:

30 years on, the battle for our world’s future continues.

Super Robot Wars is a tactical RPG that brings characters and robots from a variety of mecha anime together to battle their mutual foes.

Players follow characters through adventure and battle. Take control of giant robots on a battle map, commanding them to defeat their enemies.

The battle switches between ally and enemy phases. Once the player has moved and attacked with their robots, the enemy takes their turn. When all enemies have been defeated, the game proceeds to an Intermission.

During Intermission, the player can use resources earned in battle to train pilots, upgrade robots, and earn bonuses for their army. They then can proceed to the next chapter of the adventure.

In Super Robot Wars, players can enjoy a unique experience that combines all-star mecha series crossovers, action-packed attack animations, and the chance to upgrade your favorite machines and pilots.

To celebrate, Seismic Toys has just unveiled their new line, Ultraman Vinyl Odyssey, and the first release is none other than a fan-favorite – Jirahs monster!

Standing at 9″ tall and beautifully painted this soft vinyl figure is a mixture of metallic and plastic materials to create the amazing colors that you see.  Jirahs is sculpted by Michael Lambert and will feature a header card by Bill Couture.  In fact – every single release in the new Ultraman Vinyl Odyssey line will feature unique artwork from popular artists.  Each figure is considered a limited release and will not see a reissue down the road.

Hot on the heels of the first seven reveals from ThreeZero for upcoming 1:6 scale figures of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comes the White Ranger!  ThreeZero revealed this figure on their Twitter.

There are currently no details as to release or pricing but we imagine a Q2 2022 release is possible in that $100 price range as the others.

The official Radiant Black Twitter account has revealed the three main covers for Radiant Black Issue 08.  It appears the whole squad is here and fighting the character introduced at the end of Radiant Black Issue 05.  The 8th issue of Radiant Black releases September 15th and works as a great belated birthday present for your favorite tokusatsu website editor in chief.  Just sayin’.
