A new Kamen Rider Ex-Aid item has been announced for the SH Figuarts action figure series!

This is SH Figuarts Maximum Gamer LVL99- Kamen Rider Ex-Aid’s penultimate form- a powerful set of armor that also has the ability to purify the Bugster virus that plagues Ex-Aid’s opponents. The figure comes with its signature weapon- the Gashacon Key Slasher for added effects!

Currently, Maximum Gamer LVL99 is scheduled for release in May 2019! The price is a steep 9936 Yen before shipping and handling.

Haruto Soma was the only survivor of a dark Solar Eclipse ritual which saw the creation of a legion of monsters known as Phantoms. Assuming the likeness and identities of those humans they emerged from, Phantom’s invade the world of humans and use magic to wreak havoc. Only one man can stop them, the one who faced despair head on in the light of the eclipse and emerged to gain the power of magic from his hope. Haruto Soma became Kamen Rider Wizard!

FINALLY, after languishing for 6 years with one of the worst S.H. Figuarts ever made, the Shinkocchou Seihou renewal line has finally tackled the rider of hope! Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style is possibly one of the most stunning and astounding figuarts I’ve ever handled. A magnificent recreation of a dynamic suit design, this stylish figure is everything that Wizard fans have ever wanted. Interchangeable Wizard Rings, a multi-mode WizardSwordGun, and fully poseable Wizard Robes(!), make this one of the nicest Seihou releases to date. The S.H.Figuarts line’s been something of a fan favorite amongst collectors ever since the series first started. Many of us have been hoping that these figures will be easier to obtain domestically, and now it seems like collectors will finally have their chance. In a rather surprising turn of events, it seems that more S.H.Figuarts will be made available domestically for North American consumers at Gamestop of all places thanks to no part to our friends at BluFin. Among those are numerous Kamen Rider and Ultraman figures. Various listings appeared on Gamestop’s website the other night, as reported by various fans in the Toku community. The 20 Rider Kicks versions of the following Figuarts are up for pre-order as of this writing:

  • S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed
  • S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Blade
  • S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms
  • S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Ryuki
  • S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form
  • In addition to three Ultraman figures:
    S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Blu Aqua
  • S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Rosso Flame
  • S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Zero

A screen grab from Gamestop’s own computers via Twitter user @ShadowThePika can confirm that these figures exist within the system and each one of these Figuarts will retail for reasonable 49.99 each and expected to ship out in February. Of course, we have no way of telling if Gamestop plans on carrying more of these in the future and it seems unlikely that they’ll carry anything P-Bandai exclusive. Still, this opens the floodgates for Kamen Rider collectibles to potentially come stateside!

Gamestop exists outside of North America as EB Games, and while the two companies operate under the same umbrella it’s currently not known they’ll follow suit. Stay tuned, and we at Tokunation will provide you an update to this exciting development as it’s made available.

In a new feature for Tokunation, we’re teaming up with review blog My Shiny Toy Robots to feature and cross-promote the various tokusatsu series and film reviews featured on the site. In the first of what will hopefully be many posts, we’re discussing the finale to Kamen Rider Amazons story – Kamen Rider Amazons the Movie: The Last Judgement!

Released earlier this year in the place of the annual Super Hero Taisen spring movie, The Last Judgement chronicles the final showdown between Haruka Misuzawa (Kamen Rider Amazon Omega) and Jin Takayama (Kamen Rider Alpha Alpha) as Haruka stumbles upon a new scheme to use Amazons to solve the world’s growing food crisis.

As seen over on Hero Shock, we have our first full length look at Kamen Rider Woz! While we’ve known for a couple of months that Woz would be getting his own set of Rider powers, we still don’t know what episode of Kamen Rider Zi-O that Woz will display his abilities in for the first time.

Using the Beyondriver, Kamen Rider Woz will use a special type of Ride Watch called MiRide Watches to access the powers of riders from the future. The future Kamen Riders, Shinobi, Quiz & Kikai that Woz draws his powers from have also yet to appear in the show, if they will at all. We should have our next batch of episode summaries coming up in the near future, so confirmation on Woz’s first transformation should come in the near future.

Toku Toy Box continues on and it’s time we return to a windy city called Fuuto, to revisit everyone’s favorite half-boild detective! When Shotaro Hidari & Philip combine their minds they become one as Kamen Rider W! But when the situation calls for something else, new Gaia Memories give W the edge he (they?) needs to take on the Museum’s Dopants. Using the Luna & Trigger Memories, Kamen Rider W Luna/Trigger is formed!

The Shinkocchou Seihou line up of premium S.H. Figuarts renewals has been giving fans the long awaited do-overs they’ve requested for over 4 years now. Kamen Rider W Cyclone/Joker was perhaps one of the best figures to come out of this renewed line, though many many good figure’s have since as well. But that mold has proven to be near perfect in any of the various ways it’s been released. Luna/Trigger is just yet another amazing use of the Seihou W mold. If you know anything about this body type at all, you know you’re going to love this figure as well.

The next entry in the SH Figuarts ZERO sub-line has been revealed: a three-pack containing the Hokuto Three Crows of Kamen Rider Build!

For those somewhat unfamiliar with the series, the Three Crows are three enhanced soldiers with unique FullBottles that can transform into monstrous forms- they are the Castle, Stag and Owl HardSmash respectively- under the command of Kamen Rider Grease.

These 3 Crows have been brought to life as Figuarts ZEROs; non-articulate but still expertly designed figures! In addition, the Crows come with a new accessory for SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Grease- a switchable hand holding the Crows’ military tags.

The Hokuto Trio will receive a singular release- all three figures will be coming out June 2019! The price is a very modest 12960 Yen before shipping and handling.

Try not to let the fantastic news about Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger take your thoughts too far from our annual holiday giveaway. Toku Toy Box is headed back to the Armour Zone today with a ferocious new gallery of S.H. Figuarts Crow Amazon!

Given special permission to create a new Sigma Type, the 4C organization salvaged the remains of Iyu Hoshino, after her father’s deadly Amazon rampage. A weapon capable of defeating other Amazons, the only one other Sigma ever created was Jun Maehara AKA Kamen Rider Amazon Sigma. With Iyu’s rebirth, she gained strength and abilities far beyond most Amazons. While not a particularly extraordinary figure, Figuarts Crow feature’s some truly gorgeous sculpted details. Certainly more versatile than she first appears, Crow Amazon is a wonderful companion to Amazon Neo, or in fact any growing Amazons collection.

“A transformation into a more mature style, perfect for formal occasions.”

The tradition of the Hyper Battle Video (and the rider forms exclusive to them) dates all the way back to Kamen Rider Kuuga, though that special did not feature an exclusive form for him. To this date none of the various HBV exclusive rider forms have ever had figuarts  produced of them and likely never will either. In a search to rectify that case for Kamen Rider Drive, I stumbled across a fantastic artist & customizer. @relgnadam on twitter. Thankfully relgnadam had actually already created the form I was looking for, and after some correspondence agreed to recreate one more time for me, S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type High Speed! For Toku Toy Box today we’re taking a look at this magnificent work of art in the full gallery below!

I’ve followed relgnadams blog for some time now, which you can find here, madangler blog. You may be familiar with some of his more recent projects such as re-creating Dark Drive’s future ride the NEXTridoron or his brilliant work recreating fully poseable Cronus robes. Relgnadam is a professional, and his work is a labor of love. He tirelessly recreates figures and vehicles down to the most minute detail, with absolute precision. I was ridiculously happy to be able to come to an agreement on the Type High Speed custom you see today, and having it in hand after a little over a year of anticipation, I am nowhere near disappointed.

In case you missed it, Bandai announced the second set of Another Ride Watches was coming on the horizon, and since we initially posted that article, the pre-order link for Another Watch Vol 2 is now live. With that, we now have pricing, release info, along with the two previously unknown mystery Ride Watches revealed.

As many have speculated, the then-unknown Watches will belong to Another Ghost and Another Kuuga, in addition to Gaim, W, Den-O, and OOO. Another Watch Vol.2 will retail on P-Bandai’s website for 3,564 yen and will ship sometime in May 2019.
