The Rider Kicks Figures legends line continues from Kamen Rider Zi-O! Next month offerings consist of two well loved riders from the last couple years. Making their debuts in the line are Kamen Rider Rogue and Kamen Rider GenM Level 0-X! 

Both figures join an expanding line up for armored up Zi-O & Geiz figures as well as a number of other legends like Build, Cross-Z, Evol, and more! Both Rogue & GenM Level 0-X will be released on January 26th. Each retails for 2484 yen.  Will you be adding these legends to your collection? Let us know in the thread below!

A few days ago, a slew of scans dropped giving us a glimpse at what Kamen Rider Zi-O had in store for us in the new year. The centerpiece of the scans were the three Kamen Riders of the future: Kamen Rider Woz, Kamen Rider Quiz, and Kamen Rider Shinobi. It came as a bit of surprise to learn that Quiz and Shinobi will not only be getting full-on stunt suits but story arcs of their own including their own Another Rider versions!

In another update, we now know that Kamen Rider Shinobi will be portrayed by Super Sentai alumni Hideya Takada better known in our little circle for having portrayed Kinji Takigawa/StarNinjger from Shuriken Sentai Nininger.

Kamen Rider Shinobi’s human identity will be known as Rentaro Kamikura, though much of his character and backstory remain a mystery. With this recent announcement, it stands to reason that Kamen Rider Quiz will most likely be getting his own civilian form as well though nothing has been announced at the time of this writing. Stay tuned though, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more info becomes available.

Bandai’s Zi-O Watcher candy toy blog was recently updated with an in-depth look at the upcoming SODO Zi-O RIDE5 set. Specifically, the Gaim and Decade armors were both featured heavily and in great detail. At the end of the post, an image was posted teasing what appears to be the big bad himself: Oma Zi-O.

It doesn’t seem likely that Oma-Zi-O will be included with SODO Ride 5 as we already know the set will contain the Gaim, Decade and Wizard Armor Times in addition to blank Zi-O and Geiz bodies to use with them.

Oma Zi-O is likely going to be included in whatever next set comes out. Either way, we’ll know more about this figure at the next update at the end of the month.

The most recent post on Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts blog cycles through the official images of the upcoming Ride Striker release for Kamen Rider Zi-O. The post details the accessories it comes with as well as it’s compatibility with both Zi-O and Geiz. However, at the end of the post is an odd teaser.

“次回、ジオウ＆ゲイツに強大な敵が立ちふさがる….!?”
“Next time, a mighty enemey will stop Zi-O & Geiz….!?”

The image attached is of the yet to be released Zi-O and Geiz Figuarts posed as though they’ve just lost a fight, while Decade stands tall in the background, back facing them. This image is very likely teasing something a lot of people have been hoping for since news of Decade’s return in Zi-O was made known. Given his turned back, this could very well indicate a potential reissue of the Shinkocchou Seihou Decade S.H. Figuart, though with the new magenta Neo Decadriver instead.

While there’s nothing more concrete to go on than that, the popular consensus is that we could be seeing the Destroyer of Worlds return to destroy our wallets once more. Time will tell if this is anything more than just a tease, and if it is, we’ll be sure to let you know!

The latest round of magazine scans has been posted online, giving fans some much-needed new details on the further adventures of Kamen Rider Zi-O!

*Centerpiece of this month’s spread is Kamen Rider Woz! Using a new model Driver known as the BeyonDriver, Woz has his own unique brand of RideWatches called MiraiWatches that power his distinctive abilities. Kamen Rider Woz’s signature weapon- the Zikan DeSpear is also displayed in full.

To assist in his quest, Kamen Rider Woz summons two BRAND-NEW Kamen Riders!

*Kamen Rider Quiz is a blue & red Rider from the year 2040 with skills linked to intelligence.
*Kamen Rider Shinobi is a purple Rider from the year 2022 with the power to control elements and perplex enemies with swift movements.

Both Riders appear to fight alongside Kamen Rider Zi-O & Kamen Rider Gates against their respective AnotherRider counterparts.

*Finally, Zi-O gains another upgrade to his powers- combining the Kamen Rider OOO RideWatch with the Kamen Rider Decade RideArmor to unlock Kamen Rider Zi-O Decade OOO Form– based on Kamen Rider OOO’s signature TaJaDoru Combo.

The last cinematic Kamen Rider project of the Heisei Era– Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER hits theaters this weekend and the good people at Toei have apparently decided to end things with a bang!

Two Heisei-Rider veterans have made their long-awaited return in this special crossover:

*Takeru Satoh who previously played the titular hero of Ryotaro Nogami/Kamen Rider Den-O has returned! This is Satoh’s first role in tokusatsu since leaving the role of Den-O in 2008, and many fans thought his reprisal would be unlikely due to the actors’ busy schedule.

*Not to be outdone, actor Toshiki Kashu (who portrayed /Shouichi Tsugami/Kamen Rider Agito) also announced his participation in Heisei Generations Forever! This tidbit was revealed via an image on the actors’ Instagram featuring a recording booth- causing some to speculate this particular return may be voice only.

RIDER TIME!

With RAH Kamen Rider Build Tank Rabbit Form releasing later this month, the time seems perfect to follow up with the new Rider on the block. 1/6th scale collectors rejoice! For our Lord, Kamen Rider Zi-O has come to Medicom’s Real Action Heroes line of high-end toys.

RAH Kamen Rider Zi-O recreates the stunt suit with exquisite detail, everything right down the belt and even the Ride Watch is painted. Kamen Rider Zi-O’s signature weapon the Jikan Grade is included in both sword and gun modes, along with a watch-themed display base and a nifty light-up feature in the eyes. 

For now, there’s no price or release date as all photos came data mined courtesy of Tokullector via Twitter. We’ll be sure to update you as that info becomes available.

 

UPDATE:
Thanks to an update from Figsoku.net, we now know that RAH Kamen Rider Zi-O will be coming out October 2019, retailing for 35,640 yen.

For the first time ever, Ibuki makes his debut in the S.H. Figuarts line as a Shinkocchou Seihou!

Kamen Rider Hibiki finally joined the S.H. Figuarts line for the first time over 4 years ago, as only the 2nd Shinkocchou Seihou release, which set the bar fairly high at the time. After a long wait Hibiki’s secondary rider has arrived, so what can you expect? Well Ibuki shares the same physical body as Hibiki, just with new cosmetic changes to the armor. Decked out with brass styled pipes mimicking the Ongekikan Reppuu instrument he uses to destroy Makamou. Much like Hibiki this figure is packed down with accessories including his transformation whistle Onibue, and 3 disc animals. It’s really the full package.

Today, Toei began streaming a new video promoting the upcoming Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Forever film (which comes out in two days!). But rather than just a new teaser or trailer for the film, this video previews the films theme song, which is itself a compilation and re-mix of the Opening Themes for all 20 Heisei Riders!

Titled “Heisei Generations Forever Medley D.A. Re-Build Mix” this song arranges clips from each of the 20 Heisei Rider OP’s into one giant song, set to a variety of archival footage as well as new scenes from the soon to be released film itself.  This new theme was arranged by Daisuke Asakura.

Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Forever hits Japanese theaters on December 22nd! RIDER TIME!

Another figure was recently added to the Kamen Rider Zi-O line up of S.H.Figuarts figures. That figure is, of course, the trusty motorcycle for our time traveling duos: The S.H.Figuarts Ride Striker!

S.H.Figuarts Ride Striker will be released in June as 6480 yen as a P-Bandai online item. The bike does include the Zikan Zax and Zikan Grade weapons for Figuarts Geiz and Zi-O respectively, so now buying the Ride Striker seems to be the only way to acquire weapons for them.
