Nominations For the Next Let’s Watch Wednesdays!

Posted on January 15, 2014 at 7:08 pm by Den-O under Garo, General Tokusatsu News, Godzilla, Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Power Rangers, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights, Ultraman

It’s that time again folks! Kamen Rider Blade has ended and we’re sad to see it go, but now it’s time for us to pick up a new show for Let’s Watch Wednesdays!

As always Let’s Watch Wednesdays is intended to get the community together to check out some older tokusatsu they may not have seen before. We ask that each user make only 1 nomination. The 10 nominations with the most users behind them will be featured in a poll to decide the actual series for the segment next week. This nomination thread will be open from today January 15th through Sunday January 19th at 12 Midnight EST. So get your choices in before then.

There are a few other stipulations for nominating any new shows for LWW such as those series which are ineligible. So click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to check them out and get started! We look forward to all of your suggestions!

Big Bad 6″ Blue Stinger Beetleborg Gallery by conundrum

Posted on December 28, 2013 at 9:15 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes

Photo & Content contributor conundrum is back yet again with a new gallery from Big Bad Beetleborgs! Today he takes a look at the 6″ Blue Stinger Beetleborg!

The figure is an import of the Blue Beet figure from Bandai of Japan’s Juukou B-Fighter toy line, released by Bandai of America in 1998.All in all, it is still a solid figure, even by today’s standards. The articulation for the most part is decent, but the fantastic metallic blue and chrome paint job the figure has more than makes up for it. The paint is a double-edged sword though as it is almost impossible to find a used Beetleborgs figure without any wear to the metallic paint or chrome.

No one knows if the B-Fighters/Beetleborgs will ever get the S.H. Figuarts treatment, but in the meantime, the figures from Bandai of America’s 6 inch line are an excellent placeholder in any collection.

Check out the full gallery by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” to see theentire gallery for this figure. And why not have a look at conundrum’s previous gallery of the 12″ Special Edition Blue Stinger Beetleborg as well to get your fix for the Big Bad Beetleborgs!

Possible S.H. Figuarts Juukou B-Fighter/Big Bad Beetleborgs?!

Posted on September 12, 2013 at 11:07 pm by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Put this one in the rumor column for now. Bluefin’s twitter account just posted the following:

if you’re interested in Big Bad Beetleborgs you should speak up #beetleborgs

What this possibly means is that Bandai Tamashii is looking at producing Juukou B-Fighter or even B-Fighter Kabuto figuarts. If that’s the case then fans in the US could definitely expect to see Big Bad Beetleborgs/Metallix releases of these figuarts! Bluefin wants to hear it from fans that they’re ready for B-Fighter/Beetleborgs figuarts! Make your interest known by posting on Bluefin’s twitter and facebook pages. Let’s get it together people!

Metal Hero Ranger Key ‘Complete’ Set Revealed

Posted on April 26, 2013 at 2:01 am by Den-O under Metal Heroes, Super Sentai

Set for release in December, Bandai has just announced a special Metal Hero Ranger Key Complete Edition Set! This set features the 6 Metal Hero keys used by the Gokaigers in Super Hero Taisen Z for the Metal Hero Gokai Galleon Buster attack. Featured in this set are:

– Janperson from Tokuso Robo Janperson
– Jiraiya from Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya
– Jiban from Mobile Cop Jiban
– DraftRedder from Special Rescue Exceedraft
– BlueBeet from Juukou B-Fighter
– Kabuto from B-Fighter Kabuto

However that’s not all! As a part of this set 2 more mystery keys will be released! One from Kakuranger and one from Abaranger. The most likely guess for each is Ninjaman for Kakuranger since he never had a ranger key before and possibly Abare Pink since her key was featured briefly in an episode of Gokaiger. The price for this set is 10,500 yen, so Ranger Key Completionists get ready!
