While Super Sentai episodes remain on hiatus for the time being, the merchandise for Mashin Sentai Kiramager remains on schedule!

The roleplay toys for Sixth Ranger Kirame Silver were released in Japan this past weekend, and with them came a teaser for the next DX Mashin release in the Kiramager line. This is our first proper look at Silvers’ personal Mashin- the Mashin Drijan!

According to previous listings, the Mashin Drijan has a unique Mecha configuration known as the Gigant Driller – but sadly this form remains unrevealed at time of writing.

Recently revealed via magazine images, the piercing shining hero Kirame Silver is about to join the Kiramagers on their adventures. Armed with the Shiny Kiramechanger and recording his their and his own adventures in his journal, Crystallia Takamichi will bring an extra bit of dazzle to the team as he hunts for treasures the world over.

Toei’s Kiramager Twitter account has now both officially revealed the character and suit (with some super sweet hi-res images) as well as the actor portraying Crystallia/Silver. Kohei Shoji will be joining the cast of Mashin Sentai Kiramager in the near future. Though we don’t know the specific episode Kirame Silver will debut in, it’s coming up soon. At last we have our first look at the sixth member of Mashin Sentai Kiramager!

This is Kirame Silver– the Piercing Shining hero! Kirame Silvers’ true identity is a young man named Crystallia Takamichi who travels the world hunting for treasure and recording his adventures in a special journal. Using the Shiny KirameChanger Takamichi can monitor locations where treasure is found.

Kirame Silvers’ signature weapon is the Shiny Breaker– which has multiple weapon configurations & will defeat opponents using a Shining Beam attack.

The Kiramagers’ will also face a new enemy after Silvers’ arrival- the MonStone, a sentient KirameStone that can merge with humans to cause tremendous destruction.

A new image has been posted online revealing some upcoming releases for the Mashin Sentai Kiramager toyline!

This is our first look at the equipment belonging to the teams’ SIXTH RANGER- known as KirameSilver according to earlier toy listings.

KirameSilvers’ unique henshin device is the Shiny KirameChanger– a wrist mounted device with a large blue jewel.

Meanwhile, Silvers’ signature weapon is called the ShinyBreaker– a jackhammer based device that likely has additional configurations.

Both items are scheduled for release on May 23 2020 so KirameSilver should appear on screen around that time.

The third Super Minipla release for KyuKyu Sentai GoGoV is on the horizon!

We now have our first official images of Super Minipla Liner Boy– the secondary Mecha used by the GoGo V team.

As with previous Minipla releases, LinerBoy has been recreated perfectly- with this release fully capable of transformation into Max Liner/Max Shuttle modes AND fully compatible with other GoGo V Minipla releases- forming the Space GoLiner with GrandLiner or Max Victory Robo with the Victory Robo set

Super Minipla LinerBoy will officially go up for order beginning April 24 2020. Price & release date remain unconfirmed at time of writing.

The popular candy toy Shodo line continues its expanse into the Super Sentai genre with the second SUPER release confirmed!

Fan-favorite series KyuKyu Sentai GoGoV will be the next Sentai to receive a set of fully articulated miniature figures, recreating the series’ unique costumes and weaponry in exquisite detail.

The Shodo SUPER GoGo V releases incldue the teams’ Five Lasers, V-Lancers and a fully transformable Life Bird weapon set.

Orders for Shodo SUPER GoGo V will officially open on April 24, 2020! Price & release date for the set has not been confirmed at time of writing, so stay tuned to TokuNation for further details!

Some new listings have recently been posted online for the next wave of Mashin Sentai Kiramager toys!

This summer will see several new Mashins added to the Kiramager lineup-


*DX Machin Magellan
*DX Mashin Duston
*DX Mashin Zabyu-N

But the biggest item in the listing is a DX GigantDriller! Based on previous rumors, this particular DX release is said to belong to Kiramagers’ as-yet-unrevealed Sixth Ranger.

A silhouette of a new Kiramager Mecha was recently revealed alongside toy displays in Japan- could this be the GigantDriller in question? Only time will tell!

We have sadly learned of the death of another tokusatsu veteran.

Actor Keiji Fujiwara -best known as the voice of Cheeda Nick in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters & also the voice of the Jackpot Striker in Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger EN FILM– passed away on April 12 2020 due to cancer.

Fujiwara’s resume included an extensive history in the anime world & was famous as the Japanese dub voice for Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Our thoughts are with Keiji Fujiwaras’ friends & family in this trying time.

Some new images for the next entry in the Mashin Sentai Kiramager toyline have recently been posted online!

This is our best look yet at the King Express– the second Mecha in the Kiramager lineup.

King Express is formed by fusing two KirameStones:

*The white Mashin Express
*The purple Mashin Jokai.

Through the dark energies of the Yoden Army, Mashin Jokai[/b] can also transform into a Tyrannosaurus-based Mecha known as Smog Jokai.

The DX King Express set is currently scheduled for release in April 2020!

If you’ve been keeping up with recent events, then you may know about coronavirus or COVID-19 and the impact that this awful disease has had on not just the world, but some of our general interests as well. It has just come to our attention that one of the lead actors of Mashin Sentai Kiramager, Rio Komiya aka Kiramei Red contracted the virus and Toei Studios has shut down as a result.

Fortunately, a good chunk of episodes up till the middle of May have been shot but filming was put on halt last weekend, and at this time we have no further information on what sort of delays this will cause.

We at TokuNation wish Rio and anyone else that may have contracted this virus a speedy recovery. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as more information becomes available so stay tuned for future updates.   

 

UPDATE April 3rd, 2020:

An official statement was released from Toei earlier today. A translation reveals that Toei Studios did not, in fact, shut down operations that day and was misinformation spread by the Japanese press.
