Recently revealed via magazine images, the piercing shining hero Kirame Silver is about to join the Kiramagers on their adventures. Armed with the Shiny Kiramechanger and recording his their and his own adventures in his journal, Crystallia Takamichi will bring an extra bit of dazzle to the team as he hunts for treasures the world over.

Toei’s Kiramager Twitter account has now both officially revealed the character and suit (with some super sweet hi-res images) as well as the actor portraying Crystallia/Silver. Kohei Shoji will be joining the cast of Mashin Sentai Kiramager in the near future. Though we don’t know the specific episode Kirame Silver will debut in, it’s coming up soon. If you’ve been keeping up with recent events, then you may know about coronavirus or COVID-19 and the impact that this awful disease has had on not just the world, but some of our general interests as well. It has just come to our attention that one of the lead actors of Mashin Sentai Kiramager, Rio Komiya aka Kiramei Red contracted the virus and Toei Studios has shut down as a result.

Fortunately, a good chunk of episodes up till the middle of May have been shot but filming was put on halt last weekend, and at this time we have no further information on what sort of delays this will cause.

We at TokuNation wish Rio and anyone else that may have contracted this virus a speedy recovery. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as more information becomes available so stay tuned for future updates.   

 

UPDATE April 3rd, 2020:

An official statement was released from Toei earlier today. A translation reveals that Toei Studios did not, in fact, shut down operations that day and was misinformation spread by the Japanese press.

A new list has recently been posted online apparently revealing the first wave of merchandise for the 44th Super Sentai series- Mashin Sentai Kirameiger!

While no images are yet available for any of the merchandise in question, the list does match rumors currently circulating for the new series.

Here is what we can gather about Kirameiger from the toy listings:

*The series will have 5 core Rangers- Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, & Pink.

*The main Mecha for the series will be Vehicles! This first quarter lineup consists of Mashin Roller, Mashin Lifton, Mashin Carry, Mashin Base & Mashin Armed! A secondary Mecha named King Express is also teased.

Based on the available information, this could very well be a “back to basics” sort of Sentai after several years of experimentation.
