Gaoranger DX Gaolleries 10 of 15 BIG Gao Lion/Gao Centaurus

Posted on November 18, 2013 at 1:32 am by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

Do you like Tokunation’s big month of galleries in honor of Power Rangers Wild Force? Well it’s about to get bigger with the BIG DX Gao Lion from Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger!

This enlarged version of Gao Lion appeared in Quest 43 when the Gaorangers were trapped in the Org Spirit Realm. Tetom desired the chance to cook for them one last time, and put all her hopes and prayers into a final treat which she gave to Gaolion. It’s energies allowed him to grow to massive proportions, large enough that along with Gao Falcon Shark Tiger & Elephant they became the great hero, Gao Centaurus!

This beastly combo was also used to defeat the third Highness Duke Org and appears very briefly in the Go-Busters Vs. Gokaiger movie. It’s one of the alternate Mecha Gokai Changes used by Go-Buster Li-Oh. As you can see the toy itself dwarfs the original figure and it’s slightly larger than the Gokaiger version of Gaolion which came out 15 years later.

Official Bandai photos from Tamashii Nation 2013

Posted on November 8, 2013 at 4:26 am by Chris under Conventions, Garo, Godzilla, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions, Super Sentai

This time last week saw plenty of photos from the Tamashii Nation 2013 event in Japan, with certain figures such as the forthcoming Kamen Rider Gaim S.H. Figuarts only getting through with blurry images.

However Tamashii Nations have now updated their website with their own official images from the event, so that some of these figures can be seen in all their glory! Most notable are the great shots of the Kamen Rider Black RX renewal, Kamen Rider Gaim and Kamen Rider Baron figures, however there’s plenty more including:

 • The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Blade Riders
 • S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kabuto Renewal Version
 • S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Agito Burning and Shining Forms
 • S.I.C. Rider-1 and Rider-2 new versions
 • Displays of the Super Sentai Reds and Kyoryuger Figuarts
 • The uncoloured prototype Gou from Shougeki Gouraigan
 • S.H. MonsterArts Kiryu, Gigan, Battra & Mothra
 • And more!

Video Review of Kamen Rider Gaim Arms Change 02 Baron and Banana Arms by baltmatrix

Posted on November 7, 2013 at 9:36 am by Chris under Kamen Rider

The staff at TokuNation.com is in love with the Arms Change figure line for Kamen Rider Gaim, which features your favorite Armored Riders from Kamen Rider Gaim complete with their fruit, arms changing gimmick. The first release was AC01 Kamen Rider Gaim, which received critical acclaim for being what many call the budget line – a figure that’s not quite the S.H. Figuarts quality but pretty damn good for half the price.

The second release is my personal favorite, and the favorite of many here on the site, and that’s AC02 Kamen Rider Baron. Baron comes with Banana Arms, which can fold and wrap around him as armor, just like the show. The feature is interchangeable with the Orange Arms from Kamen Rider Gaim, meaning you can switch the armors on each rider. Everything revealed on the show thus far is set for release, making this line collectible and a fan-favorite.

TokuNation.com member baltmatrix received his Arms Change Baron and took the time to do a video review of the figure! We’ve partnered with baltmatrix to feature his video reviews on anything and everything tokusatsu related, and we couldn’t be more excited for his video review of this excellent figure! Check it out below!

Don’t forget to check out his YouTube page and subscribe so you stay up to date on all his latest reviews!

If you haven’t picked up this figure yet, please do so now before prices begin to skyrocket on the figure. The staff at TokuNation.com can’t recommend these figures enough – they are an incredible alternative to the higher priced figures coming in 2014. And to top it off, they’re incredibly fun.

Banana Arms! Come On!

Gaoranger DX Gaolleries 4 of 15 Gao Gorilla/Gao Muscle

Posted on November 6, 2013 at 10:06 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

We’re back with more DX Gaoranger goodies in our tribute to Power Rangers Wild Force! Straight from Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger today we bring you our gallery of DX Gao Gorilla!

Guardian of the sacred forest, Gao Gorilla rose up in the stead of the injured Gao Lion to form a new King of Spirits. When Gao Gorilla, Bear, Polar, Eagle, and Bison come together the mighty Gao Muscle is formed! Utilizing the fire & ice powers of the bear brothers Gao Muscle can perform the Muscle Lariat, or it can use the Muscle Cracker shoulder cannons or Muscle Anchor chain weapon stored in it’s chest.

Alternatively when Gao Gorilla unites with Tiger, Shark, Eagle, and Bison Gao Cracker is formed. This alternate combo was never seen in show though a suit was made to represent it and it is officially recognized by Toei. Alternatively known as Gao Muscle Shark & Tiger. Soon the new heart of Gao King will arrive, in 2 days check back for our DX Soul Bird Gaollery!

Kamen Rider Gaim AC01 – Orange Change Set Review by baltmatrix

Posted on November 5, 2013 at 11:10 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

You may have caught us gushing on @TokuNation twitter account how much we’re in love with the Arms Change figure series for Kamen Rider Gaim. I personally just received my Gaim and Baron pieces, and I absolutely love them! So much in fact that if you’re on the fence on whether or not to pick up this figure, we’re suggesting YES YES YES!

TokuNation.com member and friend to the site, baltmatrix, posted up his video review of the figure a few days ago. Check out the video below!

TokuNation.com and baltmatrix have teamed up to bring you his videos on anything and everything toku related! He also reviews Transformers figures and more, so if you haven’t already, check out and subscribe to his YouTube channel!

Having personally just received this figure, as well as AC02 Kamen Rider Baron today, I highly recommend these figures. They do not have the articulation of an S.H. Figuart figure, but the playability feature by having the fruit land on the figure and transform in to armor, just like the show, is just too awesome not to get. Plus the little details – like orange slices that appear in Gaim’s helmet – are a nice touch.

But you’d better hurry – the popularity of these figures is increasing and they are becoming harder to find, as even Mandarake only had AC Kamen Rider Baron available as Gaim was totally sold out. After-market prices are already hitting close to triple the original price. Here’s a few links to some relatively decent-priced auctions on eBay:

– AC02 Baron – $19 with $13 shipping
– AC01 Gaim – $38 with $10 shipping

Okay, so I only found two that weren’t asking for $50 or more after shipping. Hurry and act now because you WILL want these figures later. And if you’re in the market to get AC03 Kamen Rider Ryugen, or the two Lock Seeds that transform in to the motorcycles, most foreign sites like Hobby Link Japan had pre-orders go live earlier this morning.

Henshin!

Official Images of DX Black Kyoryujin Revealed

Posted on November 5, 2013 at 4:43 pm by Kiryu under Super Sentai

HA HA! SHIM HA HA!

Bandai has put up pre orders for the DX Black Kyoryujin, but we got good news and bad news for you.

The good news is that four unique Batteries will be included with the release. Three batteries representing Zyudenryu Gabutyra, Dricera, and Stegoguchi are included but these ones are Deboss versions indicating that they could be either clones or under the control of Lord Chaos, it is still unknown if they’ll play a significant role in the show.

The fourth battery is another Super Sentai themed battery, this one represents three generations of Dinosaur themed heroes and has a picture of KyoryuRed, Tyranno Red, and Abare Red.

Unfortunately, getting one might be difficult even if you live in Japan. The Black Kyoryujin will be offered as a Premum Bandai Exclusive exclusive but the bad news doesn’t end there…a lottery will be held to determine whom gets to pay for it.

If you happen to get lucky, the DX Black Kyoryujin will be due out later this month on November 22nd, retailing for 8,925 yen.

Thanks to Tokunation member irsyadsway for giving us the heads up!

UPATE:

Just as a bit of a correction, it seems that the Black Kyoryujin isn’t a lottery-only item.

Gaoranger DX Gaolleries 3 of 15 – Gao Bear and Gao Polar

Posted on November 4, 2013 at 10:55 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

Hyakuju Busou!

Two more Power Animals join the fray in our tribute to Power Rangers Wild Force. From Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger, today we take a look at the DX Gao Bear & Gao Polar set! Bear & Polar were twin brothers of fire & ice who, befriended by Gao Yellow, came to Gao King’s aid in Quest 9.

When combined with Gao King they replace Shark & Tiger to form Gao King Double Knuckle! When only Gao Bear is equppied and Gao Giraffe is substituted for Polar, Gao King Spear & Knuckle is formed! These powerful twins were a huge asset to the Gaorangers, that is until their power became too much for the King of Spirits and injured Gao Lion.

In order to truly revive Gao King, the sacred guardian Gao Gorilla will appear! Check back in on Thursday for the DX Gao Gorilla & Gao Muscle gallery!
