“Wake-Up Cross-Z Dragon!”

Kamen Rider Build’s finale ended mere minutes ago, and already Toei has announced a pair of follow ups to the series, the first of witch being Build New World: Kamen Rider Cross-Z! This new V-Cinema will focus on Ryuga Banjou in the aftermath of the series and will also introduce a brand new bottle at his disposal, the DX Muscle Galaxy Full Bottle! See the teaser below!

The Blu-Ray DVD combo of this film comes packed with the DX Muscle Galaxy Full Bottle, a theme song CD, and will retail for 11,880 yen.  There will also be a limited theatrical screening of this film in early 2019. The physical release will be out in April 2019.

It’s certainly been a big day for Kamen Rider fans, as our first look at Kamen Rider Zi-O was dropped quite recently and Bandai is showing no signs of stopping any time soon. You might recall that a new video game called Kamen Rider Climax Scramble was recently announced for the Nintendo Switch if you’ve been looking to import the game we have good news for you.

It was just confirmed on Bandai Namco S.E.A’s official Twitter account that Kamen Rider Climax Scramble will be making it’s way to South East Asia, complete with English subtitles much like last year’s Climax Fighters game.

The good news is that the Nintendo Switch console is region free, so this version of the game will be more import friendly for our English reading audience. We’re still waiting for the trailer to drop, but we’ll let you know once it comes out so be sure to check back with us for more updates yet to come. 

UPDATE:

Both the Japanese region and South East Asia region versions of the game are currently up for pre-order on Play-Asia.

Following this mornings’ press conference, we have now learned a great deal about the cast of the 20th Heisei Kamen Rider series- Kamen Rider Zi-O!

Here is what we know of the story so far:

*Kamen Rider Zi-O’s human name is Sougo Tokiwa. He’s described as “an ambitious young man who dreams of being a King.” Sougo’s catchphrase is “I feel like going somewhere!”

*Kamen Rider Geiz is actually a reference to the characters human name, Geiz Myokoin. He was sent back in time to kill Sougo before the Demon King can awaken.

*The female lead is also a time traveler; Tsukoyomi tries to guide Sougo & Geiz on the right path.

*Sougo’s great-uncle Junichiro Tokiwa will run the “hangout” area this season- a boutique called the Kujigojido Shop. He is a watchmaker & knows a lot about past Kamen Riders.

*To stop the Demon King from awakening & destroying the future, Zi-O & Geiz will travel through time to meet with past Kamen Riders. The cast of Kamen Rider Build and several faces from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid are shown returning to greet these new heroes!

*The villains are known as the TimeJackers and they come from the future to replace Zi-O with their own King- via candidates known as Another Riders– people found in other times & granted powers similar to Kamen Riders with devices called AnotherWatches. These AnotherRiders appear as monstrous versions of past Kamen Riders. By defeating them, Zi-O & Geiz will gain the powers of past Riders.

*Schwartz is the name of the TimeJackers’ leader- described as a violent older man. He is aided by a woman named Aura who can convince others to willingly accept AnotherRider powers. Accompanying them is a young man by the name of Wool who playfully experiments with time for his own amusement.

*A mysterious figure known as Wars appears to both the Riders & the TimeJackers. This man is described as “a prophet from the future” and reads tales of heroic actions from his unique book.

Finally, Bandai Japan has uploaded a special promotional video highlighting the history of Kamen Riders in the Heisei Era & acting as a teaser of sorts for this new series:

Today, in Japan, the Kamen Rider Zi-O cast was announced. The series will begin airing on September 2nd 2018. The following are our main characters for the next Kamen Rider series:

– Kamen Rider Zi-O is played by Sou Okuna (奥野壮)
– Kamen Rider Geiz is played by Gaku Oshida (押田岳)
– Tsukuyomi is played by Shieri Ohata

The first few episodes will feature Kamen Rider Zi-O and Kamen Rider Geiz traveling back in time, meeting up with Kamen Rider Build, Kamen Rider Cross-Z, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, and Kamen Rider Brave. The premises of Kamen Rider Zi-O is that he travels through time using the powers of previous Kamen Riders throughout the Heisei era.

The end of the Heisei Era is fast approaching, and Kamen Rider is celebrating the end in their favorite way: with an epic crossover movie!

Kamen Rider: Heisei Generations Forever has just been announced. This film will be a team-up between Kamen Rider Zi-O and Kamen Rider Build. While the cast has not been fully confirmed at time of writing, appearances from other Kamen Riders from throughout the Heisei Era seems very likely.

Heisei Generations Forever will be released on December 22 2018! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details on this cinematic adventure!

News about the upcoming 20th Heisei Kamen Rider series Kamen Rider Zi-O continues to drip out on a fairly steady pace, and each bit we receive seems even more exciting than the last!

This latest batch of scans focuses first on the Jikku Driver, the henshin device used by both Kamen Riders in this series. The Driver face spins 360 degrees to transform and was apparently developed after years of research though its true origins are not yet revealed in full.

The Jikku Driver is powered by RiderWatches! These coin-shaped devices are said to contain the powers of previous Kamen Riders- and all the Heisei Riders are shown in RiderWatch form!

By inserting the RiderWatch into the JikkuDriver, a Rider gains new Rider Armor with unique abilities!

*Kamen Rider Zi-O’s first RiderArmor form uses the Kamen Rider Build RiderWatch- creating Kamen Rider Zi-O Build Armor!
*Kamen Rider Gates starts off with the Kamen Rider Ghost RiderWatch- granting the power of Kamen Rider Gates Ghost Armor!

In addition to visiting past Kamen Riders, this series will also resurrect VILLAINS from Rider history! Kamen Rider Zi-O is seen facing off against Lord Baron from Kamen Rider Gaim.

The world will get its first proper look at Kamen Rider Zi-O during the Kamen Rider Build: BE THE ONE movie- premiering in theaters on August 4 2018! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this remarkable new Rider series!

In a surprising announcement for the rapidly-winding-down Kamen Rider Build series, a new Rider Form has been unveiled!

Fan-favorite supporting character Kamen Rider Grease will abandon the now-obsolete Sclash Driver and combine a Build Driver with the newly-completed Blizzard Knuckle to transform into Kamen Rider Grease Blizzard! This blue repaint of Greases’ original suit includes a Robot SMASH arm as main weapon, granting Grease the power to stand against Evolto in the final battles.

But Kamen Rider Grease may not be the ONLY Build Rider receiving a last-minute change! The same scans also hint at a new form for Kamen Rider Mad Rogue to be revealed in an as-yet-unannounced Hyper Battle Video.

The 20th and final Heisei Era Kamen Rider is coming closer every day, and we continue to learn more about this new hero: the King of Time, Kamen Rider Zi-O!

In the first magazine scans published for this new series, we get to see Zi-O’s arsenal and special attacks from the Zikan Gilade in Sword and Gun configurations. We also get a close look at Kamen Rider Zi-O’s motorcycle- the Ride Striker! Some early teasers for Zi-O’s time travel powers are included, with brief glimpses of the Cretaceous Era and the Edo Period.

As an extra bonus, this scan gives us our best look yet at the second Rider- Kamen Rider Gates! This character is said to arrive from the year 2068 and uses the same Driver as Zi-O.

Each characters’ RIDER KICK attacks are detailed in full: Kamen Rider Zi-O uses the Time Break while Kamen Rider Gates’ is known as Time Burst! Both Rider suits bear the katakana for KICK on the underside of their boots.

A new article at CinemaToday has revealed some important details about the upcoming 20th and FINAL Heisei Kamen Rider project- Kamen Rider Zi-O!

First up, a brief story synopsis has been revealed under the tagline Rejoice-for the birth of a new King!


It is the fall of year 2018, when a time machine appears before the protagonist born in 2000.

A mysterious girl emerges from the time machine, telling this protagonist “I come from the year 2068- a future where a demonic king reigns and makes his people suffer, creating a hopeless world.”

The girl who came to 2018 is desperate to change the future, stating- “it is YOU who will become the demon that destroys the world- The King Of Time, Zi-O!”

Just what is the fate of the future?!

This is the story of the Kamen Rider who will fight to save the past, present AND future- fighting across time while encountering the past Heisei Riders across the course of history.

In addition, several members of the production crew have been announced:

*The head writer for this series is Kento Shimoyama who previously wrote for several Super Sentai series including Tensou Sentai Goseiger and Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.
*Zi-O’s director is Ryuta Tasaki a veteran of multiple Kamen Rider projects including Kamen Rider W, Kamen Rider Den-O, & Kamen Rider Drive.
*Producer duties will be shared between Shinichiro Shirakura and Naomi Takebe, both long-time TV-Asahi tokusatsu veterans.

In case you missed it: Kamen Rider Zi-O will be Toei’s new Kamen Rider show that will be replacing Kamen Rider Build in the coming months. We’ve seen plenty of the titular rider’s suit design thanks to promotional images that have been coming out, but Toei’s finally released photos of what the actual in-show physical of this design will look like in addition to some more promotional material and the show’s logo.
