After months of speculation and rumors, the official televised celebration for the 25th Anniversary of Power Rangers has finally been announced!

In a special PRIME TIME episode airing Tuesday, August 28 2018 at 8PM EST a group of past Rangers will unite with the Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel team against a powerful new foe.

The confirmed veteran Rangers returning for this special event include:

*Jason Faunt (Power Rangers Time Force)
*Jason David Frank (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, Power Rangers Dino Thunder)

As well as the various suits from the Ultraman manga, Bandai’s Figure-rise Standard line also had plenty to show off from the Kamen Rider franchise at this year’s Summer Wonderfest. The most notable item on display was a coloured version of the line’s Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Level 2 model kit, whose release date has yet to be confirmed. Alongside it was also the recently released Kamen Rider Build RabbitTank kit.

Also on display were Kamen Rider Faiz and Kamen Rider Kabuto, who were both previously released as part of the Figure-rise 6 range. Whether these two models here are different or about to be reissued (and if so if any changes have been made) is unknown, but we’ll bring you more news as it comes!

The Summer Wonderfest 2018 news continues with the reveal of Figure-rise Standard 1/12 scale Ultraman Suit 7.4 and Ultraman Ace Suit model kits! As seen in the currently ongoing ULTRAMAN manga series, these suits are based upon the original Ultraseven and Ultraman Ace designs and worn by the manga’s version of Dan Moroboshi and Seiji Hokuto respectively.

The prototypes on show are currently unpainted so may not be released for some time, but these come as an affordable alternative to those who missed out on or skipped the Ultra-Act x S.H. Figuarts releases. Check out the full sized images after the jump!

Kamen Rider Build might be winding down but Bandai isn’t showing signs of stopping the full bottle train any time soon. In case you missed it, Kamen Rider Grease will be getting a cool new form in the episodes that remain: Kamen Rider Grease Blizzard! And P-Bandai’s put up the pre order page for the DX Blizzard Knuckle & North Blizzard Bottle set.

Reservations will begin July 29 2018 and will close August 27. the DX Blizzard Knuckle & North Blizzard Full Bottle set will retail for a mere 3,888 yen and will ship out appropriately in December 2018.

A new Kamen Rider video game has just been announced!

Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zi-O is an action/fighting game featuring multiple Kamen Rider characters. So far, Riders confirmed to be included are Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kamen Rider Gates & Kamen Rider Build.

Climax Scramble will include a STORY MODE for lengthy gameplay & a BATTLE MODE for Rider clashes. Further details regarding gameplay have sadly not been confirmed at time of writing.

Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zi-O will be released on the Nintendo Switch video game console! Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details on this exciting Rider Game!

Super Minipla is showing no signs of slowing down! As you might recall, Super Minipla Gridman and God Zenon were both confirmed to be on the way just a few days ago. To top it all off, Bandai’s given us our first look at Super Minipla Dyna Dragon at Sumer Wonder Festival. 

The model is still in its early stages of development so it’s difficult to really say when this kit will come out or for how much. We can only assume that this bad boy will be able to combine with Gridman proper to create King Gridman.

UPDATE:

Upon further investigating, the Gridman shown next to Dyna Dragon appears to be Gridman Sigma, the lead protagonist from a Gridman show that never aired or made it into production until the 2015 short: Gridman Dawn of a new hero.

It’s a double whammy of SSSS Gridman merch today. We’ve seen Goodsmile take on Studio Trigger’s SSSS Gridman but now Megahouse will be throwing their hat into the ring as well with the ActiBuilder SSSS Gridman line up.

Unlike the big boy Goodsmile is working on, Megahouse’s Actibuilder SSSS Gridman appears to be going in the opposite direction by releasing these designs in a much smaller scale. We can only assume that from the name, Gridman can combine with his auxiliary machines but unfortunately there isn’t much to go on aside from the impressive display MegaHouse has for this action figure line at Wonder Festival, at this time we aren’t exactly sure what this toy line will end up being.

With the release of Studio Trigger’s SSSS Gridman Anime drawing near, we’ve seen a slew of Gridman related merch coming out of the woodwork. It’s Summer Wonder Festival right now, and Goodsmile just revealed their take on a DX SSSS Gridman based on the new hero’s design.

We can only assume that this means Goodsmile plans on releasing this Gridman figure together with his auxiliary vehicles but for now, there doesn’t seem to be much info to go so we can’t be sure if this is part of a preexisting Goodsmile line or it’s own thing entirely. For now, enjoy this picture  of a finished sample piece taken at the convention and we’ll be sure to bring you more up to date info as it becomes available.

News about the upcoming 20th Heisei Kamen Rider series Kamen Rider Zi-O continues to drip out on a fairly steady pace, and each bit we receive seems even more exciting than the last!

This latest batch of scans focuses first on the Jikku Driver, the henshin device used by both Kamen Riders in this series. The Driver face spins 360 degrees to transform and was apparently developed after years of research though its true origins are not yet revealed in full.

The Jikku Driver is powered by RiderWatches! These coin-shaped devices are said to contain the powers of previous Kamen Riders- and all the Heisei Riders are shown in RiderWatch form!

By inserting the RiderWatch into the JikkuDriver, a Rider gains new Rider Armor with unique abilities!

*Kamen Rider Zi-O’s first RiderArmor form uses the Kamen Rider Build RiderWatch- creating Kamen Rider Zi-O Build Armor!
*Kamen Rider Gates starts off with the Kamen Rider Ghost RiderWatch- granting the power of Kamen Rider Gates Ghost Armor!

In addition to visiting past Kamen Riders, this series will also resurrect VILLAINS from Rider history! Kamen Rider Zi-O is seen facing off against Lord Baron from Kamen Rider Gaim.

The world will get its first proper look at Kamen Rider Zi-O during the Kamen Rider Build: BE THE ONE movie- premiering in theaters on August 4 2018! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this remarkable new Rider series!

In case you were let down by the S.H.Figuarts version of the Manga Ultraman character, Bandai may have an alternative for you with the recently revealed Figure-Rise Standard Ultraman B-Type model kit.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the Figure-Rise Standard series: it’s a line of model kits that you build and sticker yourself ala Gundam or Minipla. The Figure-Rise Standard kits covers characters that are outside of the Gundam franchise, in the past we’ve seen a handful of Kamen Riders and Dragon Ball characters done up in this line. Figure Rise Standard Ultraman B Type is 1/12 scale so it shouldn’t look too badly when standing next to your S.H.Figuarts collection.

Accessories with this kit will include optional hand parts, effect parts, a big cannon, and an LED light that can switch from blue to red. All of this can be yours for 4500 yen and will see a release in November 2018.
