Rumor – Jason Faunt, Wes Time Force Red Ranger, to appear in Megaforce?

Posted on May 2, 2013 at 2:49 am by Chris under Power Rangers

It seems everyday we have new information to share about possible cast appearing in Power Rangers Super Megaforce! We only post things when we have a solid lead that it’s a possibility … we know that Saban Brands has contacted many past actors, but we only post the rumors of people returning when they drop hints.

This is another instance of a possible hint.

Jason Faunt who played Wes the Red Ranger in Power Rangers Time Force posted on his personal Facebook about the locations he was headed to for work. He mentioned Detroit. He also mentioned New Zealand and laughed about living out of hotels for awhile.

Is Jason Faunt headed to New Zealand to appear in a cameo for Power Rangers Super Megaforce? What do you think? Do you want Wes to return? Share your thoughts!

Akibaranger S2 Runs for 13 Episodes

Posted on May 1, 2013 at 10:31 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Previously speculated but now confirmed, Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2 will only run for 13 episodes. Listings have just gone up at CD Japan for the Blu-Ray release of the series. The description for volume 4 sadly confirms that much like Akibaranger Season 1 there will only be 13 episodes.

However don’t be too sad. Season 1 ran for 13 episodes but garnered love from fans all over the world, the series was a commercial and critical success. Fans demanded more and the show returned for it’s triumphant 2nd Season , which is already shaping up to be the same kind of success. In this writer’s (and fan’s) opinion this series may continue this formula if there are further installments after this year. It’s been successful doing so thus far, so why change things up now?

Rumor – Samuell Benta, Operation Overdrive Black Ranger, cameos in Super Megaforce?

Posted on May 1, 2013 at 12:13 am by Chris under Power Rangers

There’s bound to be some contraversy on this one. Samuell Benta, who played the Black Ranger known as Will in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive left a mysterious tweet the other day that has many believing he’s been contacted to return for a cameo in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. The tweet is as follows:

Hmmmmm a certain show has requested that i come back…. What could it be….

Now, to the contraversy surrounding Samuell Benta and why so many, including myself, wish he’d stay as far away from Power Rangers as possible.

The first Power Morphicon was a huge success, hence why it’s returned every other year since then. The entire cast of Power Rangers Operation Overdrive was in attendance. There were four official banners that all the guests signed and were going to be auctioned off on eBay with the earnings donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Samuell Benta (allegedly) took one of the banners and, on his own without the assistance of staff, went about getting signatures from all the guests. Upon the closing ceremonies of Power Morphicon, the organizers asked Benta for the banner – Benta refused to return the banner, stating he was going to keep it for himself as a souvenir from the convention. That’s right – he willingly chose to keep a banner meant to be auctioned off for sick and dying children. He admitted that he had it, that he took it, and that he was keeping it. He knew that it was going to be auctioned off for charity but still chose to keep it for his own personal collection.

So Power Rangers fans, do you want Samuell Benta to return for the anniversary season of Power Rangers Super Megaforce? Let us know!

UPDATE 02/26/2020
Samuell Benta has released a YouTube video stating that he never took a banner meant for children – that in fact he set it down and a fan must have taken it.

Confirmed – Najee De-Tiege, Samurai Blue Ranger, Returning for Super Megaforce

Posted on April 30, 2013 at 11:48 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

We have our first official confirmation!

Najee De-Tiege, the actor who played Kevin the Blue Ranger in both Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Super Samurai tweeted today that he is returning for a “few episodes” in Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the 20th Anniversary celebration season of Power Rangers. The tweet reads as follows:

Its a Official Saban Brands Contacted me & my Cast to come back 2 NewZealand, & Film Some Power Rangers Episodes!..

The tweet specifically states “me and my cast”, which in this writer’s opinion means that the base cast of Power Rangers Samurai has been contacted to return for some episodes of Super Megaforce (base cast meaning no Gold Ranger, no female Red Ranger). I could be wrong, though Steven Skyler, who played Antonio the Gold Ranger in Power Rangers Samurai recently spoke to convention attendees and mentioned he had heard nothing about Megaforce.

What are your feelings about Kevin and possibly the other Power Rangers Samurai returning for Power Rangers Super Megaforce?

Thanks to Mr. Yellow for the heads up!

Power Rangers Megaforce Christmas Special Title Revealed

Posted on April 30, 2013 at 3:55 am by ZeoRangerV under Power Rangers

Our friends over at Rangercrew have revealed the title for the Power Rangers Megaforce Christmas special, which is due to air sometime in December. The episode will be titled “The Robo Knight Before Christmas”, however no further details than that are currently available.

Will this episode see Robo Knight learn the value of Christmas? Will Gosei’s command centre be filled with singing children just like Zordon’s was nearly 20 years ago? Or will this just be another clip show episode? Speculate away!

Rumor – Christopher Khayman Lee, Andros of In Space, to Cameo in Super Megaforce?

Posted on April 30, 2013 at 12:14 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Okay, I admit to this one being a stretch, but the picture makes you think. We know from our friends via RangerCrew.com that the casting department of Power Rangers has reached out to a number of veteran actors and actresses from the “Saban-era” of Power Rangers (Mighty Morphin, Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force). We know that Blake Foster, who played Justin Stewart the Blue Ranger in Power Rangers Turbo was getting in shape for something, then flew off to New Zealand.

So here’s a picture of Christopher Khaymen Lee. You know him best as Andros, the Red Ranger in Power Rangers In Space. So what’s the big deal? Well, Lee is one of the more recluse former Ranger actors, and only recently was on an episode of the No Pink Spandex Power Rangers podcast. He wasn’t forthcoming on whether or not he had been contacted for Super Megaforce, but seemed open to coming back for an episode or two.

So then this picture shows up. Christopher Khaymen Lee holding a In Space Red Ranger card, and seemingly in very fit shape. Oh, and with long hair to boot. Does this mean he’s hinting that he’s coming back? Do you want to see Andros make a return in Power Rangers Super Megaforce?

Post your thoughts!
