The butterfly effect of Bandai’s premium & popular Shinkocchou Seihou sub-line of Figuarts has finally reached Rider Machines! While not officially labeled as an S.S. release, the brand new S.H. Figuarts Hardboilder is undoubtedly a renewal meant to replace the original release of this bike.

Hardboilder is of course the faithful ride of Kamen Rider W, and a perfect companion piece to the Shinkocchou Seihou W Figuart released last year. While this renewal definitely won’t be as significantly different from the original as many others have been in recent years, it is on the whole a more accurate and well proportioned update.

Following up on the reported return of fan-favorite series Kamen Rider W, we now have some additional details on this revival project!

A new manga series, titled Kamen Rider W: Futo Detectives has officially been announced! Series head writer Riku Sanjo will be in charge of the story, while designer Katsuya Terada will return once again to develop even more strange creatures for W to fight. Artwork will be provided by longtime anime veteran Masaki Sato.

The first issue of Futo Detectives is currently scheduled for release on August 7 2017! Be sure to join in our Ongoing Discussion Thread to share your thoughts and fears about this new manga!

A mysterious new teaser image hidden in this months’ magazine scans appears to hint at a return for the detective duo Kamen Rider W!

Originally airing from 2009-2010, Kamen Rider W has long been considered a beloved series among Rider fans. W’s head actor Renn Kiriyama has campaigned several times for a V-Cinema revival but until now seemed to have no success.

Sadly, no details about this new Kamen Rider W project are available at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further Kamen Rider developments!

Now, count up your sins!

The latest release in the SH Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou revival line is confirmed: Kamen Rider Skull! The hardboiled detective returns once again to watch over the citizens of Fuuto.

Kamen Rider Skull will be a wide retail release figure, currently scheduled for August 2017. Skull will come with a variety of accessories, including the Skull Magnum weapon, his Gaia Memory, a briefcase with copy of the W Driver, two versions of his iconic Fedora hat and an alternate Crystal head matching the characters’ prototype stage.

Shinkocchuou Seihou Skull will be available for the relatively affordable price of 6480 Yen before shipping and handling!

A new article in CinemaToday has revealed a very interesting special appearance for the upcoming Kamen Rider Chaser V-Cinema project! –

The Special Investigations Unit will receive help from a veteran detective: Ryu Terui, better known as Kamen Rider Accel! The veteran officer from Futo has come out of retirement for one more case!
Terui is again played by Minehiro Kinomoto, reprising his iconic role from Kamen Rider W for the first time since his reappearance in the Gaim/Wizard crossover movie.

Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Chaser will be released on April 20, 2016!

Get ready to count your crimes once again, along with that spare change! Medicom has announced a redo of everyone’s favrioute Hard Boiled duo: Kamen Rider W/Double into the Real Action Heroes line.

Like Medicom’s other offerings as of late: this new and improved W will be offered as an exclusive via the Medicom Premium Club store, their equivalent of Bandai’s Tamashi Web Shop.

The figure is due out in February 2015 for a whopping 21,00 yen. Preorders for this piece go live 2014/5/24 an will end 2014/7/5.

Actress Nao Nagasawa most recognized in our fandom for her role as Hurricane Blue of Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger has announced that she will be tying the knot.

The lucky man to be receiving her hand in marriage is a soccer player named Nakata Koji, the couple started dating in October 2012.

We wish her all the best going forward and hope they can live a happy life together.

The “Hesei VS Showa” Rider Movie War is a go!

This early teaser image confirms an epic crossover of Kamen Rider heroes, and shows off a few veteran Kamen Riders coming back to the fold!

Returning heroes include Renn Kiriyama as Kamen Rider W and Masahiro Inoue as Kamen Rider Decade!

“Hesei VS Showa” premieres March 29, 2014 and should make for an interesting year of Kamen Rider!

Though we’ve had a lot of good news in the last couple days unfortunately we have some bad news today. Tomoyuki Dan, most famously known to tokusatsu fans for his role as the Weather Dopant/Shinkuro Isaka on Kamen Rider W, has passed away from an aortic dissection. He passed away in his home on the evening of October 10th, he was 50 years old.

Fans may also recognize Tomoyuki for his work voicing over Christian Bale’s Batman character in the Japanese releases of the Dark Knight Trilogy, or for his roles in such anime as Victory Gundam, Naruto Shipuuden, or Ghost in The Shell, as well as his long list of other anime voice acting credits. As with any toku alum he will be missed.

Bandai Premium Web announced that a new Gaia Memory Complete Selection is in the works. Except for the Cyclone Memory, this new set contains Gaia Memories that were shown in W but never actually used. 

And those memories are:
