Entertainment Weekly has published the first full details for the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary project!

Titled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always this special episode delves into Ranger history and brings some old faces back for a new adventure.

Returning actors include-

*Walter Jones as Zach
*David Yost as Billy
*Steve Cardenas as Rocky
*Catherine Sutherland as Kat
*Karen Ashley as Aisha
*Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam

Some voice actors will also be returning for this special- including Barbara Goodson as Rita Repulsa and Richard Horvitz as Alpha 5.

Newcomer Charlie Kersh rounds out the cast, playing the daughter of original Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger Trini.

Bandai Japan has released the first official look at the DX Mecha for the upcoming 47th Super Sentai series Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger!

This unique new Mecha consists of TEN components! Each individual Mecha is known as a ShuGod– a mechanical lifeform native to the kingdoms of King-Ohger.

The first five ShuGods match the King-Ohger team:


*God Kuwagata
*God Tonbo
*God Kamikiri
*God Papillion
*God Hachi

With another five soon joining the fray-


*twin God Spiders
*dual God Ladybugs
*God Ant

All ten ShuGods unite to form the mighty King Ohger!

But that’s not all- Bandai Japan has also revealed the ELEVENTH Mecha for this new Super Sentai- the God Kabuto! This golden beetle links with King Ohger to create a powerful arm weapon.

The DX King-Ohger set of 10 is scheduled for release on March 4 2023 at a price of 9350 Yen. God Kabuto will be released in Late March 2023 for 3850 Yen. A set containing King-Ohger AND God Kabuto will be available for 13200 Yen.

The first set of images for the upcoming 47th Super Sentai series Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger are now online!

King-Ohger begins in the world of Chikyuu– which has five kingdoms. The leaders of each kingdom have gathered for thousands of years to protect their land as the Ohsama Sentai- with powers granted by the Kings Weapon that can take new forms for each wielder.

*KuwagaOhger is the self-proclaimed king brimming with fighting spirit. His Kings Weapon form is a shield.
*TonboOhger is extremely smart and extremely competitive. He uses the Kings Weapon in gun form.
*KamikiriOhger is a selfish queen but will face danger to protect others. Her Kings Weapon becomes a scythe.
*PapillionOhger is normally calm-minded but unforgiving to evil, using the Kings Weapon in bow form
*HachiOhger is a cheerful lord with unpredictable fighting styles. His Kings Weapon becomes a claw.

Aiding the King-Ohgers in their battle against the Earth Empire Bugnarok are the Shugods! Powerful mechanical insectoids worshipped across Chikyuu, these new forces unite!

The first five Shugods match the King-ohgers’ own powers- God Kuwaga, God Tonbo, God Kamikiri, God Papillion, God Hatchi.

Soon after, five MORE Shugods will join the battle-
*Twin God Tentou
*Dual God Kumo
*The lone God Ant

When all TEN of these Shugods combine, they create an almighty Mecha- The King Ohja!

Today we have the first official image of the 47th Super Sentai series- Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger!

The King-Ongher Sentai is a team of five- Red, Blue, Yellow, Black and PURPLE-in a first for Super Sentai main teams.

King-Ohger is described in early promotional materials as “A theme of Insects & Mechanics & Fantasy- Insect Warriors with kingly temperament!” The insect theme is detailed with each Ranger seen-

*Red is KuwagaOhger a stag beetle
*Blue is TonboOhger a dragonfly
*Yellow is KamiririOhger a mantis
*Purple is PapillionOhger a butterfly
*Black is HachiOhger a wasp

The insect theme also carries through to the Mecha, seen in the background. Based on preliminary toy listings we will have MULTIPLE add-on Mecha for this season-including a rumored TEN PIECE combo for the first quarter alone.

Today Shout! Factory has officially announced the release of a fan-favorite Super Sentai series.  Coming Valentine’s Day 2023 is none other than Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger.  This release answers two questions for fans – whether Dekaranger was getting subtitled and released, as well as whether or not the Super Sentai releases from Shout! Factory would continue.

The answer is they are continuing.

under Kamen Rider

Shout! Factory has announced today their next Blu-Ray release in the hit Japanese series Kamen Rider.  The next series to see a United States release subtitled on Blu-Ray is Kamen Rider Ryuki, which will include the Director’s Cut of Kamen Rider Ryuki: Episode Final.  Pre-orders are live now for a February 7th, 2023 release.

These episodes are taken straight from the Japanese masters and will be in an 8-disc set.  Fans who pre-order from Shout! Factory directly will receive a limited edition poster with their pre-order while supplies last.  Click here to pre-order from Shout! Factory.

Thanks to In Demand Toys we have our first look at the packaging for an upcoming 5 pack featuring the Alien Rangers from the third season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

This is the first team pack since the Psycho Rangers.

The availability of this item is unknown at this time but it has been rumored to be an Amazon or Fan Channel exclusive.

Tomorrow fans all over through US and Europe will be able to read the first issue of Kamen Rider Zero-One, written by Brandon Easton and drawn by Hendry Prasetya with colors by Bryan Valenza.  This comic has been hotly anticipated by fans of Kamen Rider Zero-One (and fans of comics in general) since the initial announcement and especially since the first artwork and covers dropped.

The face of the Power Rangers franchise – Jason David Frank – has died.  He was 49 years old.

For thirty years, Jason David Frank has celebrated Power Rangers with fans all over the world.  First appearing in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as the evil Green Ranger in 1993, his character “Tommy” would leave and return as the White Ranger, become the Red Ranger in Power Rangers Zeo and Power Rangers Turbo, and star in two feature films (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie).  Eleven years after his first appearance, Jason David Frank would return as the Black Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Thunder, giving the Power Rangers television franchise a much-needed boost during it’s second season under Disney Entertainment.

Jason David Frank would return twice more – once in the “Legendary Battle” episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, and again for the 25th anniversary episode “Dimensions in Danger” during Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel.  He also brought the evil comic book character Lord Drakkon to light in a short trailer for the BOOM! Studios Power Rangers Shattered Grid comic book event during the 25th anniversary.

At every single convention that Jason David Frank attended there would be massive lines to get pictures and autographs with, arguably, the most famous and popular Power Ranger.  Jason David Frank would make it a point to stay until the last fan in line got what they got in line for – whether it was an autograph, a picture, or just to say hello.

Jason David Frank had been working on and promoting the upcoming release of his creator-owned character via movie, Legend of the White Dragon, created with popular independent film maker Bat in the Sun (famous for “Super Hero Beat Down” YouTube shorts).  The film was set to release online in 2023.

He wasn’t perfect – nobody is – but for an entire generation of kids he was their hero. Our thoughts are with his family & friends in this difficult time.
