Toei has completed their annual Super Sentai press conference, introducing the world to the 47th Super Sentai team: Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.

This members of this new team are-

*Taisei Sakai as Gira-the self proclaimed ruler of Shugoddam. He is an orphan raised in a castle town, with the power to become KuwagataOhger!
*Auto Watanabe as Yanma Gust– the General King of Nikosopa a land of technology, who worked his way up from slums. He becomes TonboOhger!
*Erika Murakami as Himeno Ran– Queen of Ishabana– the land of Arts & Medicine. A selfish person who will still fight to save others as KamikiriOhger!
*Yuzuki Hirakawa as Rita Kaniska– Ruler & Chief Justice of the frozen land Gokkan. Stubborn & apparently cold-hearted but transforms into the powerful PapilionOhger!
*Sou Kaku as Kaguragi Dybowski– The Lord of Tofu agriculture land, he is a manipulative and clever speaker with the power of HachiOhger!

The King-Ohgers unite to battle against the Earth Empire Bugnarok! Two members of this villain group were shown in the new series trailer:

*Emperor Deathnarak– voiced by Tomoyuki Shimura
*Prime Minister Kamejimu– voiced by Shinichiro Miki

As you can probably expect from an S.H. Figuarts 15th anniversary event Kamen Rider takes centre stage in many of the displays of the exhibit, and as the currently airing series Kamen Rider Geats as a few brand new reveals! On display for the first time is Kamen Rider Na-Go Beat Form, the feline alter-ego of Neon Kurama wielding the Beat Buckle.

Another brand new reveal is Kamen Rider Geats Fever Magnum and Fever Boost – the special power up from Geats takes when the Feverslot Buckle grants him two of the same power-up.

Both items are display-only for the time being, but we’ll bring you more information on their release as it comes!

For a very long time now, Power Rangers fans have watched as third party companies in other popular brands (like Transformers) create unlicensed representations of their favorite characters from television, comics, and video games.  It would appear that Power Rangers and Super Sentai fans are finally getting some love.

Chinese company Lucky Cat has revealed the full details on their third release in the Micro Cosmos line and it is none other than “Beast Lord“, or a representation of DaiZyuJin/Dino Megazord.  These are 2″ large figures that fold in to cubes, then come together to form the mighty Beast Lord.

Lucky Cat has teased future releases as well but they do not look to include a Dragon Caesar/Dragonzord at this time.

Captain Marvelous is about to join the Shinkocchou Seihou line up of S.H. Figuarts from Tamashii Nations.

We don’t have the exact specific details of what GokaiRed will release with, but we do have an idea thanks to some magazine scans.  He looks to come with his Mobirate (in two forms), an open and shut Ranger Key, the Gokai Saber and Gokai Gun.  This is a brand new figure using body scans of the suit actor, Hirofumi Fukuzawa, and features a ton of new and enhanced articulation capabilities.

This item is general release, with orders opening on February 9th 2023 (the evening of February 8th 2023 for fans importing in the US).  The price looks to be around 9350 yen with a June 2023 release.

Here’s to hoping the hips don’t disintegrate on this one!

During a livestream event today, Hasbro announced several upcoming figures for the beloved Power Rangers Lightning Collection action figure series.

The next Lightning Collection will consist of-


*Dino Thunder Black Ranger
*Dino Thunder Mesagog
*Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger
*Dino Fury Blue Ranger

This wave is currently slated for release in June 2023.

A special two-pack release of the Mighty Morphin Tenga Warriors was also announced as an online exclusive for Summer 2023.

The next Zord Ascension Project release- the In Space Astro Megazord was on display for a bit, demonstrating the scale between this and the previously released Dino Megazord.

Concluding todays’ announcements was the confirmation of a special Remastered Edition of Mighty Morphin Lightning Collection figures in honor of the 30th Anniversary- with Mighty Morphin Blue & Mighty Morphin Yellow Rangers first revealed. These new releases will include several new effects and accessories. The Mighty Morphin Remastered Lightning Collection is tentatively scheduled for release in May 2023 and the figures will be priced at $33.99 USD.
