Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie 5 Inch Blue Ranger Gallery

Posted on April 18, 2015 at 11:54 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

TokuNation is back to action with a new installment in our ongoing series of toy galleries focusing on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie! We’ve taken a look at 4 figures so far in Bandai of America’s Power Rangers 5″ Legacy Line for the film and today we look at a another, The Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Blue Ranger!

As with our previously reviewed Movie Rangers this figure marks the first time ever that the Movie Blue Ranger has been portrayed properly in toy form. While nicely detailed the articulation is a mixed bag though the accessories partially make up for this. The Legacy Movie Blue Ranger specifically comes with his Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster and the Stega Stinger! A grappling hook device used briefly by Billy in the film. We break down the ins and outs of this figure, both positive & negative, in the review after the jump.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but the full gallery thread contains over 50 images of this highly anticipated new figure.  Be sure to check out the images & full review, with more than a few fun bonuses included, and be sure to share your thoughts on the 5″ Legacy Blue Ranger in our gallery thread!

Clear Images of Lion Ha Oh, Dinomaru, & Chouzetsu Akaninger

Posted on April 11, 2015 at 12:34 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

After some blurry images made the rounds just a few days ago, we have our first clear look at the upcoming 3rd quarter releases for Shuriken Sentai Ninninger!

DX Lion Ha Oh – in both it’s Castle mode and individual robot mode. This new images shows us that Ha Oh indeed has small pilot of the same type as Shinobimaru, albeit smaller. It can ride atop the castle mode as well as pilot Lion Ha Oh’s robot mode from the mouth of the lion.

DX Chouzetsu Changer – allows for transformation to Chouzetsu Akaninger.

DX EX Otomonin Dinomaru – a remold of the DX Paonmaru figure flipped around so that the head of Dinomaru is on the rear end of the mold. Eqiupped with a drill tail this figure can also assume it’s own unique robot mode very much like Paonmaru’s. And can alternatively combine with Shurikenjin to form Dino Shurikenjin .

Ninninger DX UFOmaru & Shurikenjin UFO Gallery

Posted on April 7, 2015 at 9:09 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

UFO washoi!

TokuNation returns to the team of ninjas that refuses to hide with Shuriken Sentai Ninninger! And today we’re taking a look at the second release in the Otomonin series of additional mecha, DX UFOmaru!

Apparently the original Otomonin, UFOmaru is the being which all of the Ninninger’s mecha technology is based on. Rather interestingly UFOmaru is also the first and so far only literal UFO based mecha in Super Sentai. We’ve had spaceships in the past but this one takes the cake. An interesting design, UFOmaru can alternate between the traditional “saucer” mode and his own unique robot form that stands tall with Paonmaru & Shinobimaru. When used in place of Shinobimaru, Shurikenjin UFO is formed! Armed with the 3-barrelled UFOmaru Launcher, Shurikenjin UFO succeeds in being another new and unique combination that’s a welcome breath of fresh air.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post in order to see a comprehensive gallery of over 50 images as well as a full review for DX UFOmaru. We’ll see you again in a few weeks for our next ninja themed gallery installment with DX Bison Buggy & Rodeomaru!

Ninninger DX Paonmaru & Shurikenjin Paon Gallery

Posted on April 5, 2015 at 5:56 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

Paon! Paon! Paon! Wasshoi!

Shuriken Sentai Ninninger is moving right along in both show & toyline. The first release in the DX Otomonin series for Ninninger recently hit Japanese retail and we’ve finally gotten our copy in hand for review. Today we’re taking a look at DX Paonmaru!

Paonmaru made it’s first appearance a matter of weeks ago on Ninninger and as the name implies Paonmaru is an elephant. It came to the aid of the Ninningers as the first of the restored Sealing Shurikens. Not only does it have a role as a beast, but it can also be reconfigured into a small robot formation that’s very similar to Shinobimaru at a basic level. Though Paonmaru has a bit more bulk to it. The real star of the show however is this machine’s combination with Shurikenjin, Shurikenjin Paon! Wielding the Paon Axes Shurikenjin Paon benefits from the inherently awesome articulation of the primary figure.

Check out over 50 images as well as a full review of this wonderful new addition to the toyline of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger after the jump! We’ll be back later this week with our look at DX UFOmaru!

As with our previously reviewed 5″ Movie Red Ranger & Black Ranger this figure marks the first time ever that the Movie Pink Ranger has been portrayed properly in toy form. The Legacy Movie Pink Ranger specifically comes with her Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster and the Pterodactyl Thunder Whip! A weapon that could stun or electrocute enemies in the film. We break down the ins and outs of this figure, both positive & negative, in the review after the jump.

Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie 5 Inch Black Ranger Gallery

Posted on March 11, 2015 at 10:06 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

The Power is On!

Once again here at TokuNation we’re taking a look at a brand new figure from Bandai of America’s 5″ Legacy Line. The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Black Ranger!

As with our previously reviewed 5″ Movie Red Ranger this figure marks the first time ever that the Movie Black Ranger has been portrayed properly in toy form. While nicely detailed the articulation is a mixed bag and the accessories are a bit on the lite side. The Legacy Movie Black Ranger specifically comes with his Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster but unfortunately that’s it. We break down the ins and outs of this figure, both positive & negative in the review after the jump.

We’ve also attached a selection of images to this post but the full gallery thread contains 50 images of this highly anticipated new figure.  Be sure to check out the images & full review, with more than a few fun bonuses included, and be sure to share your thoughts on the 5″ Legacy Black Red Ranger in our gallery thread!

Shuriken Sentai Ninninger – Ninnin Action 03 Ki Ninger Gallery

Posted on March 10, 2015 at 9:44 pm by Chris under Super Sentai

We’re back with the third release in the Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Ninin Action series of figures! As you already know, these figures from Bandai Japan utilize the style and molds of the toys released by Bandai of America – meaning they are muscular and not super entirely show accurate. But can they make up for a less popular design with fun paint apps and accessories? You’ll have to check out our gallery and our review to find out!

To see the full gallery and review – click here and check out all 25 images of Ki Ninger!! Be sure to post your thoughts on what very well could be the Power Rangers 2017 toy line!

Shuriken Sentai Ninninger – Ninnin Action 02 Ao Ninger Gallery

Posted on March 9, 2015 at 9:22 pm by Chris under Super Sentai

It’s time for the second release in the Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Ninnin Action series – a gallery of the Ao Ninger figure!

Just like with the Aka Ninger figure, this figure is basically a Bandai of America style figure with the large muscles and the short height (it is 5″ now as opposed to the 6″-ish figures that Bandai Japan had released every year prior). This means it scales well with your Power Rangers figures, but not so much with any of your previous Bandai Japan figures.

Check out over 30 images of the Ao Ninger and post your thoughts in the discussion. Click here to go straight to the gallery, review, and discussion. It’s a pretty hot topic – a lot of collectors are unhappy with the direction that Bandai Japan has taken. What are YOUR thoughts on it? Sound off in discussion!

Shuriken Sentai Ninninger – Ninnin Action 01 Aka Ninger Gallery

Posted on March 8, 2015 at 5:32 pm by Chris under Super Sentai

Our gallery is now live for the first release in the Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Ninnin Action series – #01 Aka Ninger!

This year’s Ninnin Action line is a bit of a line-drawer in the sense that unlike previous years, Bandai Japan is now using the same 5″ figures that Bandai of America has been using the last few years – the super muscular bodies that cause havoc when trying to pose the figures accurately to their actions in the actual show. So how did they do in their first run? Are there any differences that we can tell between these figures and the Bandai of America 5″ figures that you can buy at retail right now? Are the accessories the same unpainted soft plastic that we get on this side of the Pacific Ocean?

Check out the full gallery and review by clicking here and find out. We’ll also let you know whether or not these are worth picking up. But at least now they match your Power Rangers figures, right?
