Legacy Titanus Images From Bandai UK

Posted on September 11, 2014 at 5:32 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

Mirroring what happened with the Legacy Dragonzord before it’s release, Bandai UK has just revealed brand new in hands images of the upcoming Legacy Titanus!

This whopping behemoth will retail for $200 at Toys R Us this fall, and as you can clearly see is meant to be combined with the previously released Legacy Megazord & Dragonzord to complete the Legacy Ultrazord! If you can’t tell already Titanus is huge and apparently very heavy. Be on the lookout for this bad boy on TRU shelves in the coming months!

New Legacy Tigerzord and Saba Images – Pre-Orders Available

Posted on September 5, 2014 at 12:47 am by Chris under Power Rangers

After being seen on display at this year’s Power Morphicon, new images of the upcoming Legacy Tigerzord and Legacy Saba have surfaced at online retailer Entertainment Earth. Included are our first look at the robot mode of the Legacy Tigerzord! Their pre-orders are online and state a February 2015 release although Bandai of America told us at Power Morphicon that they wouldn’t be available until early summer 2015.

Special thanks to raz at Razzle’s Dazzles for the find! You can pre-order the Legacy Tigerzord by clicking here and pre-order the Legacy Saba by clicking here.

PMC2014 – Custom Pyramidas by Famed Bandai Designer Tsuyoshi Nonaka

Posted on August 26, 2014 at 5:00 pm by Chris under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers, Super Sentai

One of the most underrated guests from this year’s Power Morphicon was Tsuyoshi Nonaka, the man behind numerous designs and mechas from Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, and the creator of the Soul of Chogokin series of figures targeted to adult collectors. Tsuyoshi Nonaka was in attendance at this year’s Power Morphicon and brought with him a custom rebuild of the classic Power Rangers Zeo Pyramidas, which was the carrier zord of the Gold Ranger (or if you prefer, the Kingranger‘s mecha King Pyramidder).

Check out these images of the BEAUTIFUL custom by clicking the story title. Join in the discussion and share your thoughts! Don’t you think it’s time the Power Rangers community got some of the same amazing customizers that frequent the Transformers fandom?

PMC2014 – Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord Pics and Info

Posted on August 26, 2014 at 2:25 am by Chris under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers

One of the most debated items from this year’s San Diego Comic Con 2014 was the individual zords that make up the Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord. As you may recall, the triceratops belonging to the Pink Ranger was colored purple, and the statement made to us was that a pink colored component on a toy targeted to boys wouldn’t sell. Thanks to ODot92 from RangerCrew.com, we learned that Bandai of America had changed their tune due to fan outrage and had decided to color it pink instead. As Power Morphicon went forward, Bandai of America changed their reasoning, saying that the triceratops was simply colored wrong from the manufacturer and was always meant to be pink. To showcase their change, it was purposely put at the front and middle of their display as every attendee walked in to the convention floor. What is the truth in the story? Who knows and frankly who cares – we have a pink triceratops again and that is all that matters!

Now, Bandai of America uses the Zord Builder feature on all their zords. That poses a slight problem with the Japanese counterpart from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, which relies on the batteries to make the actual connection to the other zords. With that in mind, we asked Bandai of America what purpose the Chargers will have in the toy line since they will be sticking with the Zord Builder combination feature.

For starters, each zord will have a feature to be unlocked by using the charger. The Red Ranger‘s zord will have the “spike hairs” pop up, the Blue Ranger‘s zord will have the spikes on the back of the body stand up, and the Pink Ranger‘s zord will have the drill pop out from the tail. At this time, there are no plans to have the Chargers unlock sound in the Megazord.

Once again, if this is a deal breaker for you, we suggest importing the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger version of this figure now before prices go up as they always tend to do when the Power Rangers version comes out. But please check out 40 images of the Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord. We tried to get as many different angles of the combined form for you so you can make your own judgement on this upcoming figure. Please join our discussion thread and share your thoughts!

SDCC Power Rangers Update

Posted on July 23, 2014 at 6:06 pm by Sentai Tamashii under San Diego Comic Con

Hot off the press from out SDCC News Team! Our very own admins Kickback and Den-O are at the 2014 SDCC and they have uncovered much news from Bandai of America:

  • Legacy Tigerzord- highly articulated, diecast, zord builder compatible. Very nice
  • Legacy Saba – retractable blade, animatronics, electronic sounds
  • Legacy Titanus on display
  • Original MMPR Movie Legacy White Ranger Morpher with Tiger and alternate Falcon coins
  • Dino Charge Megazord is on display, it is confirmed to have a purple triceratop, and not the pink one that was in the Sentai version, the Dino batteries are smaller.

SDCC posted a picture ban till 6PM PDT or 9PM EST this year, so as soon as the ban is lifted, pictures will come flooding in, STAY TUNED!

*Edit While there are quite a few pictures floating out there on the web, we at TokuNation decides to respect SDCC’s policy and will not post any pictures till the ban is lifted.

Power Rangers Legacy Titanus Press Photos

Posted on July 11, 2014 at 12:54 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

Thanks to Fury Diamond of Rangercrew once again for digging around the bowels of the internet to find new press photos of Power Rangers Legacy Titanus! This upcoming figure is expected to be released in Fall 2014 as a Toys ‘R’ Us Exclusive with a suggested retail price upwards of $200. No official order pages have gone up yet but for now enjoy these nice new images of this upcoming behemoth.

As we draw closer and closer to it’s eventual release fans keep wondering when pre-orders actually will go up for Legacy Titanus. We’re still not sure of that, but chances are more information will be available for the figure at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Remember that TokuNation will be on the show floor reporting back everything we see and hear for Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, Godzilla and more! So be on the lookout for Legacy Titanus updates as well!

Super Megaforce Turbo Falcon Megazord Spotted At US Retail!

Posted on July 10, 2014 at 11:28 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

After the recent string of sightings for the Q-Rex Megazord it seems the last Megazord from the Power Rangers Super Megaforce line is starting to hit store shelves! Spotted & purchase by AbareMax of Rangerboard at Target in South Gate, California, is the Turbo Falcon Megazord!

This last Megazord in the Super Megaforce line is based on the Gokaiger figure Machalcon. The BOA version of the toy seems to opt out of some features from the original in favor of it’s own unique Megazord mode!  When used with the Legendary Megazord you can create the Legendary RPM Megazord! Combine it with the Legendary AND Q-Rex Megazords to form the Ultimate Legendary Megazord!

With this sightings it’s officially time to be on the hunt Ranger Nation, be sure to check your local retailers now!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Legacy Dragonzord Gallery!

Posted on July 7, 2014 at 1:59 am by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

The long wait is over! After tons of anticipation and fan demand the mighty Legacy Dragonzord has finally been released! Though it’s been out for a little while now, this sought after piece tends to be hard to come by through regular retail. But TokuNation was lucky enough to get it’s hands on one for a full review & gallery!

The Legacy Dragonzord is of course an update the classic DX Dragonzord/Dragon Caesar toy from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger  toylines! Released at physical retail exclusively through Toys ‘R’ Us this figure is already hard to find much like the Legacy Megazord. Which speaking of, this figure is compatible with the Megazord! The Dragonzord is a fierce machine on it’s own, but combining it with your MMPR 2010 or Legacy Megazords can create the Dragonzord Battle Mode and Mega Dragonzord, the second of which will prepare you for the upcoming Legacy Titanus!

This update to the 20+ year old Dragonzord toy has been long awaited by fans of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and of the original Green Ranger. So how exactly does this figure stack up to the classic? Read on to find out! And as a special mention for this gallery, TokuNation’s newest Photo & Content staff member ThatRangerGuy was kind enough to take a couple of comparison shots of the original DX Dragonzord & Legacy Dragonzord for us.

We’ve assembled a full review & gallery of this latest release in the Legacy toyline for you after the jump. Simply click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to over 60 images and a step by step breakdown of this awesome toy!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Q-Rex Megazord Gallery

Posted on July 5, 2014 at 12:58 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

Though we’re still several months away from the return of new Power Rangers Super Megaforce episodes on Nick, TokuNation has a little something to get you through this dry spell. Spotted recently at retail across the country and having finally been snagged by staff members we thought it was time to share with you the Q-Rex Megazord Gallery!

The Q-Rex is the personal Megazord of the Super Megaforce Silver Ranger! Sent from the future by the Time Force Rangers this machine can transform into it’s own Dinozord, Drill, & Megazord modes! A tribute to 3 past shows (Mighty Morphin Powers, Dino Thunder, & Time Force) this Megazord shares physical attributes with many of those Megazords that came before it. Like the Dragon Zord, Thundersaurus Megazord, or the original Q-Rex! Based on the DX Gozyujin toy from Bandai of Japan’s Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger line the Q-Rex puts it’s own spin on the design with the inclusion of Bandai of America’s Zord Builder system. With a plethora of these connectors & ports strategically placed through out, this toy will be a welcome addition to your collection.

After the jump we’ve assembled a lengthy review of this figure, exploring it’s many features and design elements. And we also have a 60+ image gallery for you to enjoy! If you’d like to take an up close look at the Q-Rex Megazord and see how it stacks up to it’s cousin, DX Gozyujin, then please click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottome of this post to be taken to our full gallery thread!
