NYCC 2014 – Exclusive Bandai Q&A – Dino Charge, Legacy, Ranger Keys

Posted on October 9, 2014 at 2:08 pm by Chris under Conventions, New York Comic Con, Power Rangers

Our coverage from NYCC 2014 isn’t over yet! Our very own Sentai Tamashii spoke with Bandai of America to ask some questions and we got some answers! So let’s not beat around the bush – here they are! Please note that these are not exact quotes, these are paraphrased.

TokuNation: When can we expect to see the first retail release of Power Rangers Dino Charge? The previous two series (Megaforce and Super Megaforce released at Toys’R’Us right after Thanksgiving).
Bandai: First approximate release is going to be around December at Toys’R’Us much like Megaforce and Super Megaforce before it.

TokuNation: When can we expect to see the release of the Legacy Mighty Morphin Movie 5″ Figures?
Bandai: The latter half of 2015.

TokuNation: With Kyoryuger there were some gender swaps throughout the series. Can we expect to see those in the 5″ line for Dino Charge?
Bandai: We cannot disclose the gender of any of the unseen Dino Charge Power Rangers but every Ranger on the show will have a figure released.

TokuNation: What about villains? Can we expect more toys of villains?
Bandai: Yes. There will be more villains released per feedback.

TokuNation: Can we expect to see more homages to previous Power Rangers through the Dino Charge toy line, whether it be in 5″ form or Armored Might?
Bandai: All homages will be specifically through fan support.

TokuNation: There’s a lot of Megazords in Kyoryuger (5 including Topaspino). Will we see them all in the Dino Charge toy line?
Bandai: We don’t want to step on Saban Brands toes by saying anything at this moment. Wait for Saban Brands to answer that question.

TokuNation: When can we expect an announcement on the teased Ranger Keys for the fall?
Bandai: Due to partnerships we cannot disclose any of that at this time.

TokuNation: What is the name of the Dino Charge morpher? And does the mouth open?
Bandai: It is officially called the Deluxe Dino Charge Morpher. The mouth does open and has one battery port inside.

Special thanks to Greg from Bandai of America for taking the time to answer our questions!

Power Morphicon 2014 Exclusive Ranger Key Set Gallery

Posted on October 6, 2014 at 3:39 pm by Den-O under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers

Titanium Power!
Jungle beast, spirit unleashed!

TokuNation is back with another in our series of Titanium Powered galleries. But this time there’s a dose of something extra! With today’s gallery we take a look at the recently released Power Morphicon 2014 Exclusive Ranger Key Set! This set includes two of the most hotly demanded characters from Bandai’s Morphin’ Madness competition and in fact, these two went head to head in the final round. It’s Lightspeed Rescue’s Titanium Ranger & Jungle Fury’s Wolf Ranger!

This pair of keys was made to coincide with the Power Rangers Super Megaforce toyline and are entirely functional with the Legendary Morpher. When either key is used with the morpher the “Power Morphicon!” phrase is uttered and this special set is the only way to get either of these rangers in key form here in the US. Wolf Ranger, or rather his original counterpart Geki Violet, was released in the Gokaiger toyline some years back but the PMC exclusive is the only way to own an american version of the  key. Titanium Ranger however is a 100% original creation of the Power Rangers franchise! With no sentai counterpart he has never had a Ranger Key produced of him. So that makes this release truly special!

Check out a full 40 image gallery of this set after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post! Special thanks to site owner and admin Kickback for being awesome enough to pick this set up for me at PMC.

Super Megaforce Turbo Falcon Megazord Spotted At US Retail!

Posted on July 10, 2014 at 11:28 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

After the recent string of sightings for the Q-Rex Megazord it seems the last Megazord from the Power Rangers Super Megaforce line is starting to hit store shelves! Spotted & purchase by AbareMax of Rangerboard at Target in South Gate, California, is the Turbo Falcon Megazord!

This last Megazord in the Super Megaforce line is based on the Gokaiger figure Machalcon. The BOA version of the toy seems to opt out of some features from the original in favor of it’s own unique Megazord mode!  When used with the Legendary Megazord you can create the Legendary RPM Megazord! Combine it with the Legendary AND Q-Rex Megazords to form the Ultimate Legendary Megazord!

With this sightings it’s officially time to be on the hunt Ranger Nation, be sure to check your local retailers now!

Official Images of Super Megaforce Silver Morpher with Silver Ranger Key

Posted on July 2, 2014 at 8:55 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

The first official images of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Silver Morpher are now online courtesy Amazon.com. As was to be expected, this item comes with the Super Megaforce Silver Ranger Key. There had been some hope that perhaps this morpher would come with a few extra 6th Ranger keys, but alas, that does not seem to be the case.

Also, by looking at the item description and comparing it to the Gokai Cellular version (the Bandai of Japan version that is), it would appear that the “scanning” gimmick has also been removed from the toy. The gimmick served no real purpose to the functionality of the toy, it just made it match the show a little bit more by having a red light come on and an anchor drop inside the morpher above the key, giving you the impression that the key was actually being scanned. We also cannot see any of the decals inside the morpher that were present in the Bandai of Japan version.

This item should be releasing soon to all the major retail outlets. Have you found a new Power Rangers Super Megaforce toy in your area? Why don’t you head over to our Sightings Forum! It has a directory system by state, allowing you to filter out all the other locations that don’t relate to you, as well as giving you an opportunity to meet some local #RangerNation members.

What do you think? Are you going to pick up the Silver Morpher? Sound off in the discussion thread!
